Description of Work: The detailers did a great job and it didn't take them very long (about an hour) to detail my car inside and out.

Description of Work: They showed up on time and spit shined my minivan (and you know how minivans can get) to showroom perfection in under TWO hours. Amazing.

Description of Work: After making the appointment and having the two men start their work they received a call that my RAV4 was an SUV and I was to give the crew an additional $50. If I didn't pay it the crew was to pack up and leave. I had carefully described my car in advance of making the appointment. The crew did a reasonable job but didn't receive the tip of $20 each that I had earmarked for their work because of the new higher price. One comment from the crew was "he's forever doing this, and then we get the blame". I pointed out that my older model RAV4 was smaller than the latest Honda Accord but to no avail. It would have been cheaper and just as fast to have just taken my car to the local car wash and have it detailed there.

Description of Work: I kept trying to schedule an appointment with the service provider and he kept telling me he was too busy. He originally told me it would be three weeks, I called him and he told me to wait another few weeks. I called again and he told me it would be another two or three weeks.

Description of Work: I have a clean Lexus 430. I wanted that extra mile of cleaning because I planned to chauffeur family members for a big event. I used Starr, trusting Angie's recommendation. Luis called the day of appointment to reschedule for the following day, and I agreed. He called the following day to say he'd come on time, and ended up 30 minutes late, which is ok, considering traffic. |I asked Luis if $129 included buffing. He said no. $129 only covered cleaning, and if I wanted waxing and buffing, that would be $175 extra. I agreed. |30 minutes after working, I went out to see if they needed water or anything, and the very first thing Luis said was 'see how hard he is working?' Pointing to his fellow who didn't seem to speak English, 'he is expecting a big tip from you!' Upon this, I came back immediately, leaving them with the work and loud music blasting from my car stereo. |An hour later I went out and found they already finished the work. I looked around and saw old scuff marks on all 4 doors and asked if he could buffed them out. He said no, the buffing machine couldn't reach the area. I said I paid $175, can't you just buff by hand? He said he would try, but no guarantee. 10 minutes later, the marks were buffed out. |By this time, I held back the $20 cash I had intended for tip and just asked them to leave. |That afternoon I drove the car, and found they did not clean the plastic driver floor pad, but left it in the trunk. All other pads were cleaned and left on the garage floor. The rear viewing mirror was obviously not cleaned, the lip ink still stayed on the steering wheel, not a sign of wiping. The dash board reflected scurry dried water mark, looked like they didn't even bother to wipe with a piece of dry cloth. |I am a more than reasonable person, as can be testified by my cleaning lady and gardener. And I have to say that Mr. Luis Bautista was not professional, no working ethics, if not a crook.

Description of Work: Detailed my Honda Pilot. I purchased the Big Deal for $129.00. When an appointment was being set up via their web site, I was asked if I was aware of the $50 surcharge since I have an SUV. I was not aware of this. I didn't notice the "small print" or anything advising me that I would actually be paying $179 for the detail, rather than the $129 that I thought I was purchasing. Since I had used Starr in the past, I decided to go ahead with the job. I paid the extra $50 when they came to my home to do the work. The "Big Deal" price was paid on the web site, but the rest was paid when they came to my home, which seemed a little odd to me. |I had used Starr approximately 3 years ago & thought they did a pretty good job. However, about a week after, I saw dried polish, which had turned white, in the seams around the bumpers, etc. on my dark gray car. I also noticed that they did not clean the edges of the windows that you see when the windows are partially open. So this time I mentioned to the very nice guys about that, and they cleaned the edges this time, remarking how difficult it was to remove all of the grime. |When they were finished with the detail, I asked them about the car mats being wet, but was told that since they weren't dirty, they didn't feel it was necessary to clean them! It had been about 3 years since they were last cleaned, they HAD to have been dirty. The mats are black, so they don't show most of the grime from shoe soles, but that doesn't mean the dirt isn't there. It's like never washing your black pants beause you can't "see" the dirt! |A few days after the detail, I wanted to clean the car windows which had bird droppings, etc. on them. The back window & part of the back hatch had a layer of an oily substance all over it. I assume this was an overspray or something from one of the products used. |Anyway, other than that, I was happy with the job done. I feel $179 wasn't that great of a "Big Deal" after all, so I may check around before I would use Starr again. |The guys were really nice & seemed dedicated to the job at hand. They were very punctual, especially considering how far they had to come in rush hour traffic.
