I had a fabulous experience with Mark's detailing crew. They did a wonderful job on a VW Passat. His men were efficient, professional and skilled. The car had been detailed before but NEVER this well. When my wife's brand new Subaru was struck by a neighbor's rolling trash bin the resulting crease was very noticeable and would have been devastating to her. Looking up painless dent removal Mark's Starr Detail came up. I called and told him I needed it done as soon as possible. He told me his dent guy, MIke, would be there within the hour. He showed on in 40 minutes, looked over the crease and told me it would only be a memory in an hour. Exactly an hour later he was absolutely right! Mike was the complete pro, skilled and thorough. The tiniest wrinkle is the only hint that anything had been there. I am awaiting the day that Mark goes into medicine!

it was an Angie's deal : $99 (+ $50 for van ) for inside and outside detailing. Maybe that company does a thorough job when you pay their full listed price (supposedly worth $365 value) but it really feels that they did a quick job on that "deal". 2 guys came and detailed my HONDA Odyssey inside and outside in less than 1hr30. The work was very average, more a car wash work than what you would expect form a detailing job. The guys did not even bother to lift the cargo tray to vacuum the carpet of the trunk below, they forgot to clean the gloves compartments, the side doors compartments and the vacuum was certainly not detailed. On the positive side, the owner Mark was very responsive, easy to contact and he did offer to send the guys back when I complained about their work. Then he rescheduled that appointment so in the end I had to finish their work myself as I needed to show the car to a prospective buyer. Not happy, the car does not look as good as it could. I don't think the service was worth the $149 I paid.

I scheduled an appointment with this company and they never showed up. They later advised that an emergency had occurred, however, I did see in past reviews where this has been an issue. I am cancelling this deal and requesting for a refund.

They did a fabulous job! They showed up on time. It was a great price for a great service. I was extremely happy with them. I will hire them again. There was a $25 surcharge because it was large SUV that wasn't a surprise.

Not well. Starr was a no-show and did not attempt any contact until well after the scheduled appointment, either late that night or early the next day. So far my experience with Angie's List has been completely negative. None of the contractors I have found have either responded or been reasonable in terms of price.

They were scheduled to come out today and they came out. The deal was for a car detailing. Yesterday I had my car at a mechanic and the car was really clean. I told them it’s already clean and asked them to buff out the wax and get rid of the cobwebs. He told me they would have to charge me an extra $50 to do what I want. I did not use the deal; I didn’t know there was going to be extra charges. They should have told me in advance. I used them once before and all I wanted was them to do what they did last time.

We made the appointment online or over the phone. I don’t remember any problems. They did a good job!

It was great! They're really punctual. They showed up on time, and did a really good job. Very polite, really nice guys. Overall it was a great experience.

It seemed that since we had a great deal through Angie's List, when I called to schedule we were way down on the priority list, which was fine. They put some product on our windshield that left it very filmy. Otherwise, the guys that came were very nice and professional and did a thorough job. Just didn't like that film and we had to work to get it off.

Great job and nice guys... i worked out exactly what i wanted done through the messaging system on Angie's list. they made all the adjustments and added requests i asked for. Showed up right on time and helped me take the rack off my car so they could make sure to reach every spot with a great wax job. They also did a clay bar and tire/rim treatment. Car looks better than when i got it. now i just gotta keep up the shine ; ) definitely will use again.

I set up an appointment with Mark to get my car detailed. From the first moment speaking to Mark, it was a bad experience. He was not polite, not accomodating, and seemed arrogant. They were 2 hours late to the appointment and no one would answer the phone when I was calling to see where they were. I would not recommend this company.

I purchased this Big Deal back in April of 2013. I have attempted to schedule and have made four seperate appointments that they have never showed up for nor called on. They have never, not once called to advise that they will not be arriving. I have only heard from Mark after I had called, texted and left voicemail messages and waited for up to an hour until I received a call back. I have taken off work to have this service done and this is totally unprofessional behavior. I would not recommend them to anyone!

Buyer Beware! This is a very different service than the Starr Detail I purchased last year for $125. Last year Starr sent two guys to my home and they spent almost three hours working on my car. It was FABULOUS, and I gave them straight A's and a $20 tip! I was so impressed I purchased additional certificates this year for my wife's car and my car and scheduled them on the same day so they wouldn't have to drive to my home twice. Two guys came. Instead of two guys spending close to three hours on my car, each guy did a different car and they were done in an hour and a half. Far less impressive results! The interior of the car felt like a really good car wash (as opposed to a detail), with the exception of the carpets (which came out great). I do not believe they even conditioned the leather on my dashboard with a cleaning product. For $99 this is more oft a "market price" for such a detail as opposed to a typical Angies List Deal. The Plus's: Punctual, Responsive (A, A) The neutrals: Price, Professionalism (B, B) The disappointments: Quality (C) Overall grade: a "low" B (isn't Quality most important?)

The crew did excellent detail work - better than I expected since the bar was high from our previous provider (we recently moved and our former detailer is no longer available). Scheduling was a bit if a challenge and if they could fix that, the service would be amazing. Overall, I'm very happy with the service.

Starr Detail Mobile service was suppose to detail my car on 10/13/2014 at 11:00 a.m. After not showing up at 11:00 a.m., I called their number and got a recording to leave a call back number and why I was calling. They never returned my call. I then went on my Angie's List page and sent them a message. After a while, and several calls for them to call me back, which they never did, they responded on my Angie's List page. They person told me they were running behind and that they would arrive at 3:30 p.m. At about 4:30 p.m., I reached out again through my Angie's List page. They person told me there were sitting in traffic going to my house but he sent them home because they were off at 6 p.m. and they wanted to make sure they spent the time necessary to do the job right. To their credit, they did offer to take the $25.00 off the detail service for a SUV and would reschedule. I have a couple of problems with all of this. First, they never returned my phone calls, and their were several. I also believe if I wouldn't have reached out to them on Angie's, they never would have told me they would be late or that they weren't coming at all. I wasted a entire day waiting at home for them to show up, only to be disappointed by not showing up at all. Starr Detail Inc. does not communicate well and in my opinion, are very unreliable. I will not use them again!

.....little disappointed that my small little Forester (which is a lot smaller than most of the regular sedans) was categorized as a "van"; therefore $25.00 more. In fact, same comment was made by another customer on your Angie's List reviews. The "vans" after my model (2001) became MUCH larger; that's why I've stayed away from the newer models even though I LOVE subarus!! As for the "B" in professionalism, that's because they left a small white spot on my driveway after finishing so I asked them to please clean it up before leaving. They instead said it could "easily" be removed. My reasoning is that they put it there, so why not remove it?....which they did in LESS THAN A MINUTE by using their high powered water blower. It would have taken me at least 15 min. to find a suitable cleanser, scrub off, etc....didn't think that was too professional??!! As for the "B" in price, everyone who saw it said they it was a beautiful job but would not pay that much $ to have it done. I tend to agree... I probably won't either!

I had made other commitments which had to be changed due to their failure to appear as scheduled.

She said they weren't as thorough as previously. They spent far less time inside and out then previous times hiring them. The price is right if the service is better though.

Didn't show for appointment. Didn't call me to explain why they were no-shows Didn't answer phone calls (2 phone lines constantly busy). 2 hours after my scheduled appointment, they answered my query through Angie's List... their worker got sick and had to be sent home... did I want to reschedule? I won't be rescheduling.

Have used these guys three times ... as always, an excellent job.

Scheduled twice but they did not show on either occasion. I requested phone contact and they only used the Angie's List message center. Sent cancellations to appointments through the message center which I did not approve of. Called them today and got answering machine. Left message to text or call and still got no response. From the other reviews, when they show, they do good work. I did find other bad reviews with this same issue. It is somewhat a hit and miss with this company.

The two fellows who came out were very polite, and accommodating, they did a great job and the car looked awesome! Based on this experience, I would definitely recommend them!

Job went better than I expected

I was very pleased with the service. My car looked awesome. I was a little disappointed that they did not arrive on time. My appointment time was 11:00am. When they did not arrive at 12:00 I called and left a message, someone called me right back. They said that the guys were stuck in traffic and would arrive by 2:00pm. They arrived at 2:35pm.
