They didn't make the first appointment because the driver was ill. For the reschedule, they wrote down the wrong date.

They were good. On time, courteous, fast and car looks great. They came the day after I called them and at the time they said (no window - right on time). I found them on Angie's List, by the way.

A very nice job was done on my car. They did the detailing in my driveway, per my permission. However, after they left I noticed black residue on my driveway. I tried to just hose if off, however, that did not remove the stains. I had to scrub them off which took a little while. Most, but not all of the residue came off after the scrubbing. Also, they did not show up at the time scheduled, however, they did call and say they would be late. They arrived about 1 1/2 hours after the scheduled time.

Great customer service, very friendly! Cleaned all the dirty spots in my car now its spotless. They got every spot I couldn't get myself. Good work, great spot for a detail car wash!

They did a nice job. I bought it for someone, they went to the place of employment and I have nothing but compliments.

our 2009 vw rabbit is a city car, full of bumps and scrapes and the like. we had just come back from a two week drive up to the redwoods via the california coast drive and our car was pretty rough looking inside and out. the two men who did the detailing showed up on time and started work quickly, they were polite and professional. we asked if they could do anything about the scratches and they said yes, and also recommended a finish to help stop water spots and stains on the exterior (there were quite a few). they also asked if we would like them to clean under the hood. we figured it was time to treat our rabbit, esp after the 2000 mile road trip, and said yes, we'd add that to the original Big Deal quote. they worked nonstop for about 2 1/2 hours and the car looked wonderful when they finished. they tidied up after themselves quickly and thoroughly and were very pleasant and professional throughout. the only disappointment was that there were still scuff marks on the inside of the drivers side of the door where sometimes we hold the door open with our feet because we park on an incline at home. they either overlooked them or couldn't get them off, but if that were the case, i would have expected them to mention it to us. we didn't notice that until later. the good news, and it is good news, is that evening we went out and while we were away from the car the whole rear of the car inc the window was egged. we got home late so didn't wash the car down with the garden hose until the next day. it came up clear as could be and dried without a smear! we were delighted - the finishing coat Starr Detailers put on the car was worth every penny! 3 weeks later and it still looks lovely and factory-fresh inside and out.

I purchased the Deal for the auto detailing. After they finished I found out that underneath the cup holder was not cleaned and out of place. Everything else was clean in the car except the cup holder area. I asked them to come back but they would not. The technician said they left the car in perfect condition. When I asked him to come finish the rest he said no. I said I was going to go to Angie's List and that he does not care that I would leave a negative review.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and they were good. We have purchased a big deal for their service previously, and that is why we purchased it again.

They came out and did a great job. The guys were nice and did what they said they would.

They are as good as advertised. Was pleased with the work and the workers. Had some difficulty arranging a quick appointment. Would recommend them but need some lead time.

I began my odyssey of scheduling the car details in late September 2012. After working with both of our schedules Mark and I agreed on a December date to accomplish the work. Unfortunately, the morning of the service I received a call that the van broke down on the way to my house and that we would have to reschedule. I completely understood this incident and agreed with Mark that the work could be rescheduled. I never received any kind of email or call with available dates after the breakdown which, in hindsight, would have been appreciated. I recently called again to see about the reschedule and went through a lengthy email exchange with Mark to schedule a date. I then asked for the first available THURSDAY for the work and was informed that it would be THURSDAY September 26th between 10:30 and 11. Well 10:30 came and went, 11 came and went and by 12:30 my wife was getting irritated. She called Starr and sent an email and received a call from Mark, who very apologetically said that we were on the schedule for SATURDAY October 26th. Mark was very professional with his response to our email and apologetic regarding the mix up and graciously offered some extras on another date or a refund. We decided that the money lost in waiting around was worth more than the actual detailing so we elected to take a refund and move on.

Ryan and Nathan were the technicians who arrived and did the detailing. They called to let me know that they could actually come 30 minutes early. It took them just over an hour to do a complete detail of my BMW 328i. Overall, the car looked great, inside and out. Ryan and Nathan were both friendly and explained any issues that they noticed as they did they job.

They were very friendly and very efficient. They even spent extra time to make the car look great.

I'd say the work that Starr Detail Inc. performed overall for the price (the Angie's List Special), was fair to poor. They sent three men out to detail my wif'e's 1999 Honda CRV which is in fairly good shape for its years of wear and tear. They vaccumed out the car, washed it, then waxed and buffed it. The whole thing took approximately a little more than an hour. When the crew was packed up and about to leave, one of the men asked me if I was satisfied with the job so I started to examine the work. Generally, the interior and exterior looked clean and polished. Then I opened up the hood and the engine compartment had not been touched. Maybe that was not part of the deal but every other time I've had a car detailed, this has been part of a complete detail job. As a result of them not opening the hood, I noticed that there were leaves stuck in the area between the windshield and the hood compartment ( which I could see sticking out from the exterior of the car). I then opened the all the doors and noticed that the inside areas and edges of the door compartments were still dusty/dirty. I told the workers I thought this was a pretty unacceptable job, especially for the price. I told them that i souldn;t have to tell them what to do - they're the experts. The lead man apologized and they took out their equipment and started to clean the areas i pointed out. They seemed in a hurry and he said they had to be at another location in a little while. He seemed apologetic that I was not too happy about the work... I was later contacted by the owner of Starr who, when i explained my dissatisfaction, also seemed irritated and couched it as this "special" deal was what I paid for. I could only think that perhaps because we had an old car, this is the kind of work we get for $150.00 (the amount I recall at the time the work was performed). I got the impression that he really didnt care if i was satisfied or not. The work provided (at least in our particular experience ) was no more than what you'd get at an average car wash for half the price, with the exception that they come to you for the service. I would not recommend them.

I found Starr Detail Inc. on Angie's List, called on 9/21 and spoke with Mark. He quoted me a base price of $325 less $30 with the Angie's List coupon. I agreed to an additional $75 for application of teflon paint sealant and Mark said his staff would arrive at my home in Glendale between 8:00 and 8:30 AM on Friday 9/23. When his detailers had not arrived by 9:30 AM I left a voicemail for Mark who quickly returned my call, apologizing for not having called me earlier. Mark said he had been distracted by his activities in moving out of his home into a new one, stated that his staff coming from Santa Clarita had been stuck in traffic but would be there soon. Two young men arrived just before10AM and immediately went to work using their van's power washer and generator They completed washing, waxing, buffing and adding teflon to my motor home in 2 1/2 hours. They dressed the tires and cleaned the windows and outside mirrors. They were friendly, totally professional, and did an outstanding job. I paid the agreed upon amount by credit card. I highly recommend and would definitely use Starr Detail again.

They did a great job inside and out. Definitely recommend this company. They were professional, prompt and friendly.

As expected. Ecerything was fine. They did a good job.

They cancelled the first time (a few weeks ago) at the last minute because a worker didn't show up. We re-scheduled it for today (9/21/13) and both of us, via email, agreed upon the day and the 10-11:00 a.m. start time. I called them at 11:30 and asked if they were coming or not. At 12:30 I just told them I cancelled the job and want my money back. This is the first time I have used an Angie's List company. Guess I'm off to a rough start. Have an appointment with a kitchen contractor (thru Angie's List) next Friday. Keeping my fingers crossed for that one.

They did a great job. They were very professional and on time.

The hardest part was getting the service done. The appointment was cancelled at the last minute three times (two for mechanical reasons and one for traffic reasons). On the plus side, I believe that I was notified as soon as the provider knew there was an issue. And, the provider did throw in an engine clean when the service was finally provided on the fourth scheduling. While I believe that the service was eventually adequately performed, I would probably not take a chance and use Starr Detail again.

They just did the job as anticipated and hoped for. Did a great job for the price on my son's car.
