Starr Detail Inc.

This was a car detail service. My car looks very nice, with especially clean interior. Only one little problem, the provider did not contact me to make an appointment and I had to follow-up to schedule. After that contact with the provider, they followed through and did a very good job.

I agreed to a slight upgrade at a reduced rate. _x000D_|_x000D_|While they were working on my car, I looked at the details for the package that I had purchased and saw that it already included polishing the car. When handing him the voucher at the completion of service, I pointed out to him that my package already included the polish as part of the deal that I bought. His response was that my car was extremely dirty and needed extra work and that is what justified the additional $75 fee. Then he asked for a tip.

They were running a little ahead of schedule that day, so they called me to verify that an early arrival would be OK. They were very professional, friendly, and efficient. I was very satisfied with the work they did on my car --- it looks like new!

Never happened, they couldn't make a time, unless 3 weeks out

The scheduling was pretty straightforward. There were two men who came to work on the car; they tried to up-sell me when they arrived, but I stuck to the Angie's List deal.|They did the wash and detailing in the driveway in the full sun, which immediately indicated it wouldn't be a the best job. They missed pollen spots. But they aimed to be thorough, including asking about missing floor mats and throwing in a complementary engine dressing, which they said helps cars sell better. |I was decently happy but would only order this service if I were getting another deal like through Angie's List.

I spoke with Mark, who was very accommodating and friendly. I look forward to using their services and will definitely let Angie's list know the results. I appreciate the referrals and comments on Angie's List and will add mine as well.

Onsite representative was pushy and rude, I am right and you are wrong type of rudeness/attitude. After reviewing the print-out/coupon, he had a point about our 2007 Honda CRV (constituting an SUV was going to be an extra charge). However, it was not made clear in the e-mail exchanges with Mark from Starr Detail at any point in time reminding me that it would cost extra. I was clear from the my first response that my vehicle was a Honda CRV. In addition, neither Mark, nor the Coupon said how much extra the cost would be, not until the onsite-representative told my wife it would cost - surprise! - $50.00 more. Bottom line, the onsite-representative's attitude (he's right, I am wrong) p***** me off right away. Is this what Starr Detail wants their field people doing? They are in essence representing 'Angie's List' because that's whom we purchased this DEAL from. He did not seem to care about this, as long as he was right and I, the customer, was wrong. In addition, he parked his large vehicle (Van) right in front of my neighbor's drive way. When I asked the onsite-representative as to why he was parked there, he interrupted me/cut me off to tell me that, "no problem, he (my neighbor) was cool with it." Later that day, I spoke with my neighbor who asked me, "who was that rude guy with the Van", I explained. He said that the onsite-representative bullied him into it, assuming that it would be OK. My neighbor did not want to be rude to the guy so he parked his vehicle across the street and let him block his driveway. please!!!! I also, asked his assistant while he was putting our trash can back on the street and closing our driveway gate to have his supervisor/onsite-representative come and see me because, I had printed the coupon. I really had no reason to have printed it, but he kept repeating himself that it is in black-and-white on the coupon (the extra cost for SUV's). I have the e-mail string with Mark of Starr Detail and as I mentioned, at no time did it was mentioned I was going to be charged extra. I paid for a service at $129.00 and I expected for it to be fulfilled. My wife and I are extremely upset with this man (onsite-representative). I cannot recall the last time someone upset us this much. He obviously and desperately needs some re-training before he goes out in the field again. I want a response from someone (no phone calls please)- Angie's List or Starr Detail - as to my complaint. Regards, Andres & Virginia Victorin

Great to deal with on the phone. Had to reschedule because of a last minute work thing-- they were super flexible. On the scheduled day, the crew of 2 showed up right on time- nice personable guys. They got right to work and the end result was amazing. My car looked fantastic inside and out- nothing was missed. I couldn't be happier with the service and will definitely use Starr Detail again.

It went well and they did a nice job. I felt the price was fair and not out of the ball park. They worked well with my schedule and it was very easy. They worked on a black Jaguar of mine.

They were very thorough, responded to my specific concerns and did a great job.

I was so angry with them. I had to take my car in and have it re-detailed. They ruined the paint job on my car. He said he was going to pass of the activation and I don't know what those guys did but they took a layer of paint. I had to have my car sprayed. It was awful. I have my car detailed all the time and I don't know what these guys were all about but they were horrible. I was so angry. If we call up they don't answer the phone. They charged me extra for driving down here. They were so bad and I was really upset. I took my car in to Ford for servicing and I it cost me a $160 to have them clear the paint job on my car. They did tremendous amount of damage. I wouldn't recommend them for anything. If we call them they don't return our calls. I was just so upset. The guys they send out didn't really look like they knew what they were doing. When I went outside and checked on them, one of them was talking on the phone doing this and that. They were all scattered up and looked like a couple of gang members. I called him and left him a message that they had done a really poor job on my car but there was no response what so ever. They were terrible. The car was really clean when they left and I asked him what about the stuff on the plastic. He said that was oxidation and that it will stay gray and that they can't do anything about it. I just run my finger nail over it and it was car wax. They were a problem. I was frustrated and mad about them. If he had done what he was supposed to do I would have been okay with it. I paid him to ruin my car. They were extremely late, they were hours late. We lost our detailer and that was why I called somebody else in the interim and I've always kept my car maintained. I've had people always tell me that my car looks new even though it’s an oil car. They literally ruined the paint on my car. I called them a couple of years ago and they never responded ever at all because I guess I was too far away but I didn't even get a courtesy call. This time they did because they advertised a lot of specials on Angie's List. When we go online and Google them, it looks like an extremely professional place and then when they show up, they are in their rusted out looking van.

I made a car detailing appointment for 9:00 a.m. When they didn't arrive I left messages on their phone at 10:00 and 11:00. After no response I tried emailing. The president returned my email at 11:30 a.m. apologizing and said someone called in sick and they would have to reschedule and he would throw in a free Teflon paint sealant and a scotchgaurd fabric treatment ($100) at no charge. I did reschedule and they arrived early for that appointment and I was very happy with the work.

Detailed my daughter's car. It was a birthday gift to her. They went to her at a time that was convenient to her. She was extremely pleased. They did a complete detail inside and out of her car. Car looked fantastic.

We purchased two coupons ($129 each) for interior/exterior car detailing. On both occasions, the work was outstanding and fully met our expectations. A great value.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. There were no extra charges. It was great service and very convenient. They showed up when they were supposed to. My husband said they were very good.

This is my second experience using Starr service. They are very timely in arrival and handle my auto needs excellently. Their work effort as a team was beyond my expectations. At the end my car looked and smelled new. I intend to use them on a regular basis.

They detailed my husbands truck and my car. My daughter asked when they were there to do hers. first he said $75, then changed it to $100.00 I have had better detailed in the past. I think they could of done a better job. Not as professional as I was expecting.

They did a good job and they always do. But the only thing I was upset about was that the good deals that are being offered aren't as good as the deals that Starr offers in other environments. So I had found their same deal on groupon or another company offering services which was not what I paid for Starr through Angie's List. But apart from that they're on time and they're A grade all the way down the line. I spent roughly $160 to $170 and it was $129 the last time I did it and they did the work on July 23rd.
