Quick, easy and a great price!

Turns out it was a bad circuit board. The gentlemen they sent was really, really knowledgeable, was training someone else (which is great!), and was responsive to all the questions we had. They called to confirm the day before, and were there when they said they would be. I would absolutely hire them again!

Very badly. The tech did not investigate the problem properly, which was a leak in the pipes from the condenser (a couple of years old). He refused to check the heating/cooling unit in the garage. He just added a very expensive amount of freon. He babbled constantly with a lot of "technical" nonsense about mismatched coils, etc., intimating that the only way to solve our problem was to replace the whole system, while writing out an invoice. Took him a good half-hour to do that, which would have been better spent taking care of the real problem. Two days after his visit, the air shut down again. We found a reputable local service person, who solved the problem quickly with a real investigation, sucking out a clog in the unit in the garage, and repairing the pipe. He assured us that we don't need a whole new system, and explained why

Fantastic customer service from the first phone call to the completion of the job. Their phone rep was very nice, honest and had a good handle on their availability. She was able to have someone come out at the perfect time for us. Dave, the technician, or as my wife will now always refer to him, "Our Savior", was great too! Excellent! My project was scheduled on a Tuesday. On the Sunday before, they called to see if it was alright to arrive on 3pm or after instead of 2pm or after. Told them not a problem. They then called again on Monday to confirm my appointment and that they would call 30 min. ahead of time so I could corral my dogs so they wouldn't be in the way. And yes, they called 30 min. before arrival giving me time to settle my dogs. They were on time and we went to work to find out what the problem was. Once they determined it wasn't the ac or heater they found it was an integrated circuit board that sends signals from the thermostat to either the ac or heater, which ever was selected on my thermostat. They were able to get a new circuit board and replace the old one within a 30 min. period. The fan only, or ac, or heater now circulate air because of the new circuit board. Very pleased with their work, showing up when they said they would, and an honest appraisal at the issue and the cost to repair. Very happy with their professionalism, concern for having my pets secured, and honesty. When told the price, they were able to give me a senior discount ($50 off regular price) which really helped when one is on a fixed income.

AC Dave is a skilled and trustworthy HVAC company that does quality work at a competitive price. I had an aging four ton system that was on its last leg. My funds were tight at the time, so they suggested installing more efficient ducting to extend the system’s life. That was three years ago, which allowed me to save for the inevitable expense of replacement. And when that time came, I was given a comprehensive estimate and the installation went smoothly. They also did a follow up to tweak the system for maximum reliability. AC Dave is a small company, so you may not get next-day service, but they will work with you and stand by their work. In today’s less and less neighborly world, that is a real asset.

Excellent as always. I have exclusively used AC Dave for commercial buildings and residential buildings. They have come through and repaired issues others couldn't. Their front office staff is amazing and I always know who I am talking to! Highly recommend this company for any of your AC and Heating needs.

I have used AC Dave for the past 5 years. I am a single older woman who is on a school teacher's salary. Dave always took the time to explain about any problems he saw with my HVAC system. He always explained any choices I may have with the actual HVAC unit and he always charged a reasonable and fair price. Never once did I feel that he was "gouging" me or taking advantage of my "ignorance" in order to get a few extra dollars. He and his workers are prompt and dependable. They clean up after they are done. He has always been very friendly and personable. I have just sold my home in California and moved to Georgia and am writing this to recommend his service. A/C Dave and his team continue to impress with their professionalism, honesty and quality work. I have been a maintenance plan customer for the past 5 years and they continue to go above and beyond every time. This particular time I called to see if they could come all the way out to my place in West Hollywood ASAP that afternoon on an emergency run due to the fact that my pup had just returned from a 3-day recovery stay at the Vet and our house felt like an oven. Very uncomfortable for all, as it was the hottest week of the summer, too! Cherish, the office manager, bent over backwards to get their overbooked crew to my house to assess and fix the issue within a couple of hours. Justin, who is Dave's right-hand tech, quickly arrived to thoroughly assess and perform some diagnostic testing. Upon first pass, it looked like the TXV Metering Device and the Condenser Disconnect needed to be replaced on the condenser outside. Since both parts are fairly unique to each specific condenser model (and therefore needed to be ordered), their team put a rush on both free-of-charge and quickly returned to fix the issue once and for all. I didn't even have to request the rush (that's how accommodating they are!) During the thorough repair, Justin discovered that it was actually a "plugged screen" inside of the TXV Metering Device (and not the device itself) that was causing the issue, so instead of charging me extra for an unnecessary part, Team AC Dave found a way to save us money in replacement costs. This is merely one example of why I continue to re-hire AC Dave and his team. With excellent service and cost-effective savings to the client as the driving force, they truly are dedicated and passionate about helping their customers. Overall the pricing for every company was more expensive than I thought. The were really awesome people, really nice and straight up honest. They came out and did a free estimate. The technician knew what he was doing and was straight up honest to let us know what it was.

I calles 3 vendors from Angie's List. Dave's AC is the only company who would commit (and guaranteed) that they would come out and see me in 24 hours. They came out on time (even called to ask if they could come a few ours earlier) ON A SUNDAY! They were professional, expert, explained EVERYTHING to me so that I understood it and never tried to up-sell a product or service. They suggested a new thermostat and said I could buy one from them or buy one from somewhere else. We bought one online and he installed it a week later. It seems that the other companies in Santa Clarita are too big (and too busy) to be responsive -- I'm still waiting for a call back from the two companies that I called (over a month ago). The advantage with Dave's is that they are not a mega company; this allows them to be the very definition of responsive.

They are very polite, helpful, and attentive to the work. They took the time to explain what they were doing. I recommend them to others.

I have used AC Dave for 6 years or so. The company is always professional and very cost competitive. I am a very hands-on person and greatly appreciate Dave's willingness to volunteer a thorough explanation of any problems I'm having and his proposed resolution. When the explanation is technical, he takes the time to break down things in lay terms. Excellent company. Very responsive.

We are pleased with the service, with the professionalism of the provider and his crew. They arrived on time. I was amazed at the steps it takes for installation and removal of old units. Those guys handled everything so precisely in all processes. I offered them lunch. They already had lunch, but they accepted ice water (hot that day). They wrapped the ducting underneath the crawl space which was a big help. They tested everything out to make sure no issues. Dave and his crew were very personable, where they were polite and didn't mind small chat while they worked. The only issue on my part was that they asked where the runoff pipe was, and I did not know. They created one and afterwards, we found the existing one. Dave did not have the little rubber pads for the bottom of the air unit but came later to install them. I call that very good service. I would recommend his service to everyone. His pricing is fair and it's worth it. The quotes I received were for much more and not nearly the type of service that AC Dave provided.

The plumber investigated and was very thorough. Flushed the water heater to clean out any build up, restored nominal GPM of hot water.

The administrative staff is also very professional and easy to deal with. These folks answer the phone are very helpful with any A/C issue you might have and show up on time. Fantastic service!

He replaced our water heater with a new one that he purchased for us, and replaced the outside copper pipe, pressure relief valve, hose bib, and pressure regulator. All went very well. No issues except we got to talking a bit and he forgot to fill the water heater before turning it on, but he caught it in time and it was fine. Very good service. I would definitely use this service provider in the future.

He is always very nice and considerate to my renters and gets the job done when I need it.

On Monday August 20, 2012 my air conditioner stopped working around noon. I called A/C Dave his receptionist said he was pretty booked but she would see if he can get to me that day. Well he actual called and said he would be in my area about 4pm and he would stop by. Low and behold he was here by 4:15 and solved the problem in about 15 min. And very reasonable priced too. Plus Dave is old timer last of a dying breed.

His service is good. He is reliable and his prices are fair.

Their service is great. I would use them again.

The first day they draped the floors and stairs with drop cloths. They pulled out all the upstairs ducting and replaced it with energy efficient ducting along with dampers and air flow valves. They dismantled the furnace to remove it from the attic WITHOUT having to remove stair access to the attic which another estimate said would have to be removed. The second day, they installed a smaller unit that is more efficient and stronger that also fit through the attic opening. They continued to replace downstairs ducting. They also removed old air conditioner and replaced with a new one. The third day, they finished all the duct work, sealed and tested it so that it would pass inspection. They called the city and set up the inspection appointment for me.

He is excellent. When we needed help with the air conditioning he came out very promptly and fixed the problem. He was recommended by people in the area. He is reliable, prompt and seems to know what he is doing. He seems to be very fair and does not over charge. I trusted his work and he did very fine work. He did good work.
