Claude was great to work with. He was very responsive to texts/calls and paid a lot of attention to detail to get the job done right. The dressing table turned out great. I would highly recommend him.

Claude re-cabinet my entire kitchen about a year ago. Not only he did an excellent job, his after-job service is also fantastic. He came back to replace a broken hinge promptly free of charge. The hinge was broken due to overload after one year of use.

Claude was a pleasure to work with and did a fantastic job on our kitchen. We went from outdated cherry cabinets to modern white shaker. Claude paid attention to every detail. We couldn't be happier with the result.

Claude originally gave us a quote for removing the existing molding prior to the cabinet install, then returning to reinstall and paint match the replacement molding and build a mantle over the fireplace. This proved to be above our budget so Claude suggested portions of the job we could do ourselves. so that he would make only one trip after the cabinet install and do only the highly skilled work. His willingness to work with us to bring the cost within our budget was deeply appreciated. When we were ready for the job to be done, the work was scheduled without delay. On the day of the job, Claude was prompt, professional and completed the work efficiently. The quality of the finished product was excellent. A pleasure to work with!

He took a very complex project into completion which included using a variety of mounts to match the full overlay doors to a framed carcass. Also added glass to new doors. Added hardware. Painted doors. Soft close pull out doors. He takes him time to install but puts a lot of care to do a good job. You can see the quality of his work on the images. It all came out beautifully.

Claude did an excellent job. He was timely and very professional. People who see the kitchens are astounded that they were refaced and not new and always comment on the excellent workmanship. I compared prices to Sears and another provider and Claude was less than half the price and was able to customize my project with wood and handles. I used shaker doors, with Blum soft close hinges and maple ply drawer boxes in alder wood. He also made a new cabinet for over each refrigerator. The cost for both kitchens was $8875. I have recommended him to several friends and would highly recommend using him for any hardwood project.

I have an original 1920's house and he custom matched the cabinets to other cabinets in the house. It now looks like an authentic 1920's kitchen.

GREAT!!!! Claude's bid for the kitchen cabinets was so reasonable that I engaged him to do the save for two full bath cabinets. All worked out wonderfully. In the kitchen we used real maple in a shaker design. In the bathrooms we used painted surfaces. The soft close doors and self closing drawers are marvellous. Claude's craftmanship exceeded expectations and he was very easy to work with.

Claude did a very professional job that turned out great. He cuts the pieces off-site slightly larger than required and then cut them down on-site to the millimeter so they fit perfectly. The color of the reface wood was an almost exact match to my exterior cabinetry. The grain of the wood (birch, I believe) was actually more attractive than my existing exterior cabinetry wood. His pricing was reasonable, and I tipped him an extra hundred. He's also extremely likable, which is important in my book. I would highly recommend Claude for any finish woodwork, not just refacing.

After getting proposals from several contractors we selected Claude Sevigny of Hardwood Construction. We could not be more pleased with the result. The kitchen and laundry room cabinets look brand new. Claude owns the company and did all the work himself. He is a true craftsman and very detail oriented. My wife and I are both retired architects so naturally we came up with some unique design features that Claude was able to pull off flawlessly. He is also a good listener. Every comment that we made during the course of the work was taken into consideration and acted upon. I would not hesitate to recommend Claude and his company.

Absolutely stress free encounter, the cabinets are superlative and couldn't have come out better. My wife and I feel that in the $60,000 we've spent so far on updating our house, the money paid to Claude was the biggest bang for the buck.

Claude of Hardwood Construction was easy to reach via email on Angie's List, as well as by phone. He responded promptly and courteously regarding the job, and his labor prices are very good. He selected the appropriate wood for my project, and knew where I could get the best quality for the best value. This is especially appreciated, and it shows a personal regard for his customers. Claude installed the trim with small nails so that prep for painting is easy, and it will look good when it's painted. He also sanded the cap well so that the joints are seemless, and it too should be easy to paint. He was personable and respectful throughout the job and was easy to communicate with. He was mindful that he was in someone's home. His manner and skills made the stress of getting the work done about as painless as it gets, and his problem-solving attitude was much appreciated as well.. He didn't stop working from the time we met at the wood store, until the time that he swept up the sawdust where he had been cutting. Although he's calm and easy-going, he's a very diligent worker. I recommend Claude if you have finish woodwork that needs to be done. He's one of the best tradesperson that I have had work for me.

We are very pleased with the excellent craftsmanship that Claude Sevigny of Hardwood Construction applied to our kitchen cabinet remodel. Our cabinets look beautiful and operate better than new! We hired Claude to reface our 20 year old kitchen cabinets. We choose re-facing because most of the cabinet boxes were strong, we like the layout of the kitchen, and we wanted to save money. Our sink cabinet was ruined from a slab leak so Claude installed a new cabinet. We did get quotes from salespeople from other ?Big? contractors which were much more expensive, and left me wondering who the workers are that do the actual work. I liked that Claude does all of his own work, has many years of experience doing all sorts of custom woodwork, and is personable and friendly. Our finished cabinets look so beautiful! You would never know that they are not completely new. From the outside, the cabinet box is completely covered with new wood. Claude put strips of wood on the inside frame of the doors so when you open the cabinet doors, the cabinet looks like solid cherry wood. The cabinet doors are brand new with top of the line soft close hardware. He installed all new wood drawers that extend open to their full 20 inches, those also have top of the line soft close metal drawer hardware. We loved his attention to detail. He even put new wood on the bottom side of all the cabinets. He selected the beautiful molding for the top of the cabinets and the simple molding for where the cabinets meet the wood floor. I am a stickler for details and I appreciate his accurate and precise work. We choose the cherry wood, cabinet door and drawer style, and the wood finish. We appreciated Claude?s patience with us as we made the big decision about what type of cabinet doors that we wanted. He gave us quotes for several door styles which helped our decision making process. Claude helped us find the stain and finish we were looking for. Once we gave him the go-ahead, Claude did the door and drawer wood preparation and staining in his shop. The craftsmanship of the wood finish is excellent and beautiful. Doing that work in his shop spared us all the sawdust of the sanding, and the odor of the staining process. The job went smoothly from start to finish. We had our old tile countertops removed on Monday morning. Claude came out Monday afternoon to bring material, do some prep, and set up his equipment. With the able help of his assistant, his wife Jeannie, Claude spent four days (from Tuesday through Friday) transforming our kitchen ? it is now so beautiful it looks like it should be in a magazine! Claude was reliable, easy to work with, and it was a pleasure to have him working in our home. He left the workspace clean each evening when he was done for the day. We plan to have him reface our bathroom and linen cupboards in the future. We recommend him very highly.

It went great. We had some cabinets matched and he did very well. They were very professional. They were very good.

We just bought a home in Indian Wells. Claude refinished the cabinets throughout the house. The home came with a freestanding stove that we had removed and replaced the stove with a cook top. Claude built a cabinet where the old stove was located that exactly matched the existing cabinets. He also built new drawers for the kitchen and master bath and installed soft close drawer slides and soft close cabinet door closers. His experience and talent in building the new cabinet, refinishing the existing cabinets and installing the drawer slides and door closers saved us a very substantial amount of money. Everyone that saw the cabinets "before and after" can't believe how nice the look and work. I would recommend Claude to anyone that is considering replacing or refinishing cabinets.

He and his assistant (his wife) were just delightful people to have in the house working. We always felt very comfortable leaving the door open when we knew he would be arriving and we were not home. There were a few minor "glitches" but Claude always resolved them. When I decided on having this "transformation" done, I considered using Home Depot. I called them to set up an appt. and must have rec'd 5 calls from Georgia (their headquarters) about the appointment. I knew then that I would be subjected to some high pressure sales pitch so I cancelled the appt. That is when I joined Angie's List and called Claude. How refreshing and low key. He offered suggestions that were very helpful. If I were ever going to do anything again in the house that required an excellent craftsman, I would say "better call Claude".

Cannot get a hold of the provider to even make a schedule for service. Tried multiple times calling and emailing as above with no response.

Had problems schedules. I started asking after Christmas on the 26th. He said he can come the week of 1/19/15, but I didn't hear back from him to confirm. I would like for him to come and do the job.
