Description of Work: I called to ask what to do about a morning dove on my patio that was hurt after flying into the sliding glass door. He sounded like I just woke him from a nap and was very rude. He offered no help at all accept to call animal control. I asked him for the number and he said he only had the number for Los Angeles. Some professional. I live in South Orange County.

[Member Name Removed], we did offer to help, but you didn't want to pay for it - which is understandable. Like I said while on the phone with you, I'm sorry I don't have that number. I'm not sure what you wanted me to do. We're not an information hotline. To give us an F rating because you didn't want to pay for our service and we didn't know the phone number to animal control in your area is unfair. We tried to help. You didn't want it. Thank you, ACAT

Description of Work: Inspected rental property for raccoons. Turns out they were on the roof, not in the attic. Checked to make sure no entry points accessible. Sprayed deterrent around the tree they were climbing to get on the roof. (used same company several years ago to humanely get rid of a family of raccoons that were inside the attic) Very pleased.

Description of Work: Booking the appointment and having them out to the house when i needed did not initially go well. However, once Devin was here and started assessing our raccoon/ rodent problem, it was evident he knows what he's doing. Very knowledgeable, thorough inspection of the property. Honest about what needed to be done and what didn't. Devin made all the necessary repairs on the spot... Nice guy, too. |

Description of Work: Had a terrible smell in home, couldn't pinpoint where smell was coming from but just knew it was something dead. All City Animal Trapping came out on a Sunday, went to Attic and found 2 dead rats. Smell came back a week later, called them back but couldn't find anymore dead animals, said they it could possibly be in a wall but they wouldn't recommend tearing the wall down as it would dry up in a few days and smell would be gone. We had high winds the next few days and the smell did leave and we have had no problems since. They only charged a service call for the second time out. Very professional and friendly!!!

Overall, this company is completely unprofessional. They do not seem concerned in the least with doing what they claim to do well. I am thankful that I found another company that was willing to come out on short notice and acted completely professionally. There are plenty of animal removal companies out there, so for your peace of mind, please avoid this one.
Description of Work: A skunk crawled under my house and died. I called All City and asked if they would remove it, and they said they'd send someone out between 12 and 3. At 2:50, I called for an update and got their voicemail. I called again very soon thereafter and spoke to a different person than the one who took my first request, and although he saw me on the logbook, he didn't know that I had been promised a window of 12-3. He promised to call me back in ten minutes. 30 minutes later, I called again and the same person promised the technician would call me within ten minutes. 30 minutes later I called again and the same person gave me the technician's mobile number. I left a voicemail for him to call me urgently, but he never returned my call. An hour later, after getting a prompt response from another company, I called the technician's mobile number and spoke to him. He did not know who I was and seemed bothered that I was calling his mobile number directly.

We had a skunk problem. We called and left a message and somebody got back to us that day. The dispatcher said that the trapper would come in the morning, but they did not show up until late in the afternoon. They texted me and said they were in the area and I had to rush home to meet them. The trapper was very professional, set up 2 traps in our driveway with peanut butter in them for $250. We were to check the traps before 8am to see if there was a trapped skunk and leave a message. If we called after 8am it was an extra $50 for them to come pick up the skunk. It cost an additional $80 per animal caught -- even if we caught something besides a skunk. We caught 5 skunks in 7 days, then decided we were spending too much money catching skunks. I texted my trapper directly in addition to calling the hotline before 8am and they picked up the skunks the same day. I was very satisfied with their service. We recommended them to a friend and they have caught 11 skunks and counting!
Description of Work: A trapper came to our house and set up 2 traps, then came daily to retrieve skunks when they were caught and said they let them go 30 miles away. They removed the traps when we were finished.

I have been trying to trap and relocate a rat that has been getting into our cars and chewing the wires. I have not had any luck on my own so I called All City. The person who answered the phone first offered me some advice to alter the methods I had been using -- very kind of him. Unfortunately I still wasn't able to catch the little rat on my own so I called them again to come out and place traps - which they have just done. Here's why I'm a big fan of this company: 1) So quick in their response time -- I called yesterday and they apologized that they weren't able to come out immediately, instead scheduled for today which was still in my opinion very fast. 2) Incredibly professional and polite staff -- called in the morning to give me an estimate of when they'd be here and they stuck to that -- also calling just before arriving to give me the heads up. 3) These people are clearly animal lovers -- yes they want to remove animals that are causing a problem but they have so much concern for the animal they are trapping as well, ensuring that there won't be suffering. They rescue animals, take them to wildlife rescue facilities when necessary, release in the wild when it's possible, and also care for many animals on their own. A pleasure to do business with such professional, kind, ethical people.

I had a 'critter' digging holes in my garden. I borrowed a trap from a friend, bated it, and set it up. I set the trap up on around 7pm on Saturday and went out. When we got back around 11pm. We had a live raccoon! I had on clue what to do next. I figured that I would just take it to Griffith Park and release it. I checked online and found out that it was illegal. Besides, it looked pretty dangerous on youtube. I decided against it. The city told me to just let it go. That was not going to happen. Not only was the animal mad, but it now would never get go into a trap again, my vegetables and strawberries would continue to get plundered, and my nerves could not take it. I found them on the list. I called and left a message on the 24 hour line. Someone called me back the next morning around 8am and arranged for removal. By about 12 noon, no one had contacted me and it was getting hot Raccoons are nocturnal animals. I contacted the office. They gave me the number of the driver. I called him and told him of my concern. He sounded as concerned about the animal's welfare as I. He told me to shield it from the sun and that it would be little no later than 4pm. By 2pm they were at my home removing the animal. It was kind of complicated. They had to transfer the animal from my cage to theirs. It was very professional and they took care of the problem without incident. I would definitely use them again.

I opted to go with ACAT because they were the main company I could find online - I found several different numbers, but ended up calling them each time, even though the different websites made it appear that they were different companies. There was one other company that I was going to go with, but the owner happened to be out of town the weekend we needed someone to come, so I just went with ACAT. Their employee came out to my house, went on my roof to check for access points, then set two traps in our attic for the squirrels that we knew were there (we had seen them entering, and after we closed the access point we still heard them). He indicated that it should take 24-48 hours for the animal to be caught by the trap. A week went by, with the squirrel(s) still audibly living in the attic. Upon investigation of the trap, it was clear that the squirrel was entering and exiting the trap to get the bait but not setting the trap off. At that point, the employee came back out to switch the traps for two smaller traps. After another week of the squirrel still audibly living in the attic, and upon further investigation of the trap, it was clear that the squirrel was still entering and exiting the trap to get the bait but not setting the trap off. We would hear the metal trap clang as the squirrel ran back and forth. At that point, when we contacted ACAT, he told us that we must have rats, not squirrels, and that he would come to put rat traps instead. Later that day, I saw the squirrel in the garage, where he had entered from above the furnace pipe, so it confirmed that we did indeed have a squirrel, not a rat. I reset and rebaited the traps myself. Within a couple of hours, we heard the trap go off, and when we went into the attic the squirrel was in the trap. At this point the squirrel had been evading capture for almost two weeks, but was still living inside the attic as all access points were closed off. I took the trap outside and released the squirrel, and we have not heard or seen squirrels near our attic since. It was only at the conclusion of the first visit that I realized that I had contacted ACAT previously, and at that time the owner had promised to beat anyone's price by 10%, so, since I was going to go with another company who was cheaper, I asked if that deal still held. The owner took several days to respond to my emails whenever I emailed him, and, after asking multiple times (from the start of the job to the end of the job) and providing the information for the other (cheaper) company, he finally informed me that since their employee had to come out two extra times, he could not in fact offer any price guarantee. But the rub is that they did not come out two extra times -- the first "extra" time the employee came out was to rectify his error of using the wrong traps, which were not catching the squirrel after a week. The "second" time he came out was to collect the traps at the conclusion of the job, after I captured and released the animal. That's a bogus claim, since they would have had to come get their traps back anyway (our fee was merely a set-up and "rental" fee, not a purchase of the traps). I would not use this company again, and I would not recommend using them. They are supposed to be the experts, but their misjudgment resulted in a much longer capture time (meanwhile our lives were disrupted daily by the squirrel), and their customer service leaves much to be desired.
Description of Work: ACAT came out to put two traps in our attic for squirrels. Later, they came to switch the traps, and then to collect the traps after I released the squirrel that was caught.

It did take us about a week to catch. They insisted we set up traps that we knew wouldn't trap the animal(s). They initially thought they had rats - not squirrels. We came out to the house a couple times at no additional cost. It can take weeks to catch an animal but normally happens within a few days. This customer was just upset about their bill and honestly, $160 total is very competitive.

The person, who came to find out about the problem that we had, went all over the house like the basement as well the roof to check out the problem and he found rats in our house. He did a very good job. He said that he would set the trap for the rats and he said that he would come back. So, my husband said that he would do it himself and he didn’t have to come back. Then my husband set the trap for the rats. We had a lot of rats. They were all around our house and our yard. I felt that the price was a bit high. He also came when he said he would come.

Had racoons under house for months. Got desparate. Checked Angies list and subscribed. Compared names from Angies list to yellow pages and other online sources. Made appointment and they came the same day. When he was delayed, Mike called me and gave me a revised time and was there as arranged. He set the first traps and three days later the first racoons were in the trap.

At a prior job performed by this company (pigeon removal) four weeks before the current job, Devin provided an estimate for this job of $1100-$1200. At approximately 1.5 weeks prior to the job, I called to set up the clean up for a Friday I was home from work. It took a couple of tries, and Devin called me to confirm the appointment. Devin and an additional worker arrived in the morning on the day of the service. They performed the service exactly as expected, and completed the job by the end of the afternoon. Devin also re-attached insulation to the furnace/AC duct and cleaned up pigeon poop from the furnace as a final finish-up request.
Description of Work: They removed old pigeon droppings, feathers, eggs, and waste including infected insulation from affected portion of attic (about 125 square feet). They disinfected affected surfaces. They installed new insulation above ceilings and around air duct.

I contacted Trevor first with questions about their service and pricing for pigeon removal and clean-up. He was very clear and knowledgeable about bird trapping and removal strategies. Their prices were very reasonable. I set up an appointment for a Friday I was home from work, approximately a week in advance. Devin arrived, climbed into the attic and removed the pigeons that refused to fly out, and blocked the entry hole with a wire mesh. He was very friendly and responsive. He also provided an estimate for attic clean-up, which is a service that not all animal removal companies provide.
Description of Work: Removed pigeons nesting in the attic of my house. Installed a wire mesh to block the pigeons from reentering the attic through a hole in the eave. Provided an estimate for attic clean up including the removal of pigeon debris, disinfection of the attic, and installation of new insulation.

I left a message, and was called the next day by a driver. He was friendly and informative and scheduled a time for inspection and pest control. The same day, he later called to cancel because he had to cover another ill colleagues shift. He tentatively rescheduled for the next day. When I called the next day (Friday) to see if he had come by, he told me that someone from the main office should have called to reschedule. As no one had, I then had to wait until Monday to reschedule. This information should have been passed on the same day. No one has yet called me from the main office to reschedule. In the meantime, the mounds of dirt in my backyard are multiplying.
Description of Work: Based on recommendations from LA county animal services, I called this company for pest identification and its removal (we have multiple new mounds of dirt in our backyard lawn).

This potential customer had a very tricky time schedule. We called and followed up several times to try and schedule the job to be done that fit her schedule, and our animal pick ups - which take priority, made it very difficult. Sad to say, we couldn't work out a time that they were happy with. Our customers need to work with us a little bit and understand that trapped animals take priority and our schedules are designed to be time effective so we can cover several jobs throughout the day. If not, we would only make it to two jobs a day instead of ten. If any customer gives us a two hour window to make we will be there. Most of the time we provide same day service, but animals in traps can be called in any day and at any time and they do take priority. Sorry for any inconvenience this may caused.
