A-1 Factory Direct Carpet

We found A1 Direct on Angie's List. We went to their showroom and Robert served us attentively. After our (my wife's) feedback Robert kept pulling samples and laying them on the floor. Robert served us and spent a lot of time listening to our (my wife's) issues and concerns and described the pluses and minuses of each product.. Robert gave us some samples to take home. We scheduled a day for his coming out to measure. He came, more discussion. We ordered. Installers came as scheduled and installed in two days, as planned. The installers were terrific. They moved furniture, removed old carpet, scraped old padding, installed new, replaced furniture to our satisfaction. The installers did a terrific job cleaning up, vacuuming and sweeping even the street in front of our house. We (both of us) were very pleased with the service A1 Factory Direct provided. We highly recommend them. I would add that our carpet area is over 3000 square feet with two staircases, to give a sense of scale.

We are so pleased with our flooring and installation! Our home is beautiful and we are getting rave reviews from our neighbors and friends. They say it looks like a whole new house! First, Bob Chamberlain came to our house and measured the rooms, discussing various types of solutions and what would work best for us. Then, we met with the team at A1 Factory Direct Flooring and they were very patient with us, explaining the differences between each type of flooring. They allowed us to take home several samples to see how it looked in our house. We decided on the African Rosewood laminate with pillowed edges, which looks very high end. Our installation was scheduled for the next week and only took a few days for Mike and his team to install. They did EXCELLENT detail work, and their craftsmanship is the highest quality. They also installed a custom baseboard that we ordered, and it really makes the floor pop. The installation crew used drop cloths to keep the area neat, and cleaned up at the end of each day. They were kind enough to work around our schedule and we really appreciate their hard work. We highly recommend A1 Flooring in San Marcos, California!

The install went ok. Installers ran out of carpet on the spiral staircase so 5 steps where not done on the date of the install. But they came back within 2 days and finished the job.

Contacted by Robert from A-1 Factory Flooring and set up an appointment for new carpet to be installed, from the start Robert was very good provided great information and pricing of the job I needed to be done. Installation day came and Bobbi showed up and was very professional and nice. The carpet installation was done so great I called Robert again and setup for my old laminate to be replaced which again was done to perfection by Bobbi. I can honestly say these are great guys and take pride in the product and work they do.

After they came out and measured the area we went out to their showroom and chose a carpet. Although the carpet was delayed coming out of the factory they rang and let us know in advance. Their installers were very professional and did a great job. It took around 3 days to complete the entire job (4 bedrooms, hallway, playroom and stairs) and we were very happy with the end results. I would definitely recommend them for anyone who is looking for new carpet.

Rich Cripe was outstanding at providing excellent punctual and reliable customer service. They are honest efficient and will not use anyone else for my flooring needs.

Rich and A1 offered a beautiful hardwood floor and installed it on time and for a reasonable price, well below other quotes we had received. Workmanship of installation was perfect and we are proud to show off our new floor and recommend A1 to others. Also ripped out previous owners wall to wall carpeting.

Price was great, installation was great, too. There was some problem with scheduling the work, but it all worked out in the end.

Install team was first rate, fast and efficient. Salesman was great to work with. The price was a bit more than I expected to pay but they had more selection than many of the other places we tried.

Good. Pam was very good at what she did. The actual installer was a bit hard to communicate with (not a language issue, just trying to make contact), but still a good experience.

The salesperson, office personnel & carpet layers were each friendly, timely, attentive, knowledgeable & professional. Did what they said they'd do, showed up on time, worked efficiently, cleaned up all the debris & charged only what they said they'd charge. Great work ethic. No gimmicks, no problems. Very competitive prices. Couldn't be more pleased with the people, their service, the carpet & the price. I've been highly recommending them to people who've expressed an interest in buying new flooring & will continue to do so. Will definitely use them again next time!

I can't say enough about the quality and service of A-1 Factory Direct. We placed our original order back in February of 2014, but had to wait for the product to be shipped from France. It took several weeks, but our Sales Rep (Rich) was always in direct contact with both ends and kept us apprised of the situation. The vinyl flooring was installed in May, followed by the carpeting. We experienced some major problems with the vinyl product and even contacted the manufacturer of the vinyl. We felt that the installers did the best they could with the product they had to work with. To make a long story short, we received a call from Rich and he asked if we would like to come in and choose another product.......................at no extra charge. They hired a professional contractor to install brand new vinyl flooring and they did a fabulous job! It took 2 1/2 days to complete because of the large area that was covered, and we couldn't be happier with the results. The flooring and carpet match beautifully with cabinets throughout the living room, kitchen, dining and laundry areas. Rich went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we were happy. This service was exceptional and I highly recommend A-1 Factory Direct for the highest quality of customer service!

Bob, the owner, and his son, were very responsive, professional and clearly know what they are doing. We went to them to provide a quote on hardwood floors in a new construction home because we suspected that the builder was overcharging us. A-1 quoted us over 20% below what the builder was charging, and was even able to find the exact flooring we wanted despite the builder's best efforts to hide it by white labeling the flooring.

Robert helped us with samples for the selection and then Rich came over and measured. Rich got back to us with an estimate. We then set a date for installation. Are crew of 2 arrived as scheduled and installed the vinyl. They did a beautiful job and everything went well. Real nice guys too. This company is outstanding to work with.

Staff was confused about the method to use. They took an extended time. The carpet was very damp and took over 8 hours to dry. Carpet was clean when finished.

They broke one of our jars. The samples that we were shown, the carpeting that they put in didn't seem to be as good as the sample. The overall experience was fair.

The crew arrived on time,installed the new carpet without any major problems. The crew was polite and very professional.Will buy from A-1 again when needed.

Pam helped us select a carpet that we liked and then gave us a price we liked. One week or so later the installer, Martine showed up and did an excellen job of matching patterns and cleaned up after themselves. I would certainly recommend them for floor coverings

Pam the sales person, was very knowledgeable about the various kinds of flooring available. We discussed my house with its unique 1940's character and selected flooring that is appropriate for the house. I first went in to the show room. They had several rooms with a lot of samples of different kinds of flooring. She let me take a couple of samples home. She came a couple of days later, with a few more samples. We selected the flooring and she measured the room. three days later they came and installed the floor. The installers were very professional. They efficiently removed the refrigerator and stove and went to work. 5 hours later the job was done and we had a beautiful new kitchen floor.

I was impressed with Paul. Unfortunatley, when I went to the Calif. License Board website, it said his licenses would not be valid after 4/4 because his worker compensation insurance was not up to date.

Clowns who did so many thing wrong or poorly that the list is so long, from laying tile crooked, to breaking things, poring left over milky water on plants to destroying with construction stains the patio yet they got good reviews on your list !! your list isn't worth a DAMM I want Angie's list to stop charging me now you have been taking my money every month
