This Company went above and beyond our expectations. They were competitively priced, I actually got four bids. Mike and Tim were our installers and excellent in every respect. They did a beautiful job for us. Mike was meticulous and it showed. Brian Shaw helped me pick out my flooring and baseboards and also did an excellent job. Their customer service was outstanding. They kept you informed throughout the whole process. A1 Factory Direct Flooring was a joy to work with and we will definitely use them again.

Robert Chamberlain, the owner of this company, was simply wonderful. I can't say enough good things about him and this company. It's the second time we've used them (first time was for hardwood floors) and we were just as satisfied the second time around. You cannot go wrong using these guys!

A-1 sent who I think was a sub-contractor, Robert Johannes, who did all the work by himself. He was very professional, tidily moving and replacing furniture and other stuff, and looked after some extra details not on the main job description. I am 77 and this sort of thing is important. We have another project we plan to use him for and have already recommended him to someone else who wanted a small job done. As I discovered it is Very Difficult to find someone skilled to do these small jobs; most handymen do not lay carpet. And some who do will give you an "I don't really want to do this job" prices.

Robert was very helpful to me in choosing the appropriate carpet for our home, and Bobby, the installer, did a beautiful job! Robert always responded to any questions and checked in during the install. Bobby paid attention to detail and it shows! I like that he took the time to measure carefully and ensured that both the carpet and the baseboard were installed flawlessly. Bobby and his assistant were very careful moving our furniture and placed it all back after the install. Our home looks so much better now!

Robert helped us select carpet and wood floors. His crew did a great job on the install and we were happy with both the quality of the product and the installation services. But it doesn’t stop there. We came in a year later to get a small patch of carpet for a closet. Robert advised us that the manufacturer of our carpet was out of business so he helped us find a cost effective alternative in a pinch. We would strongly recommend A1 to anyone looking for flooring.

Zack and everyone were very helpful and communicative. The floors were installed promptly and look great.

We agreed to purchase and have them install carpet in our house. When it was installed it was a much lower grade of carpet than what we agreed to. When I first said something to him about it he didn't say anything. Then I said something again to him about it he lied to us and wouldn't do anything to correct it.

Currently replacing the poor quality SHAW carpet with another flooring option after just 4 years. Working with a different company on the replacement Shaw is to blame more than A1 Flooring, but both need to stand by the product sold and neither did. I got no where with any kind of claim. I would have been easy to work with and would have accepted pro-rated replacement or less, I just want nice flooring!! 20 year warrenty on Shaw Anso Nylon is worthless. Color just evaporates over time. Picture is worth 1000 words.

Flooring installers left the place in layer of dust, did not clean up, they also left 4 to 5 razor blades on the carpet. Carpet installers didn't have enough carpet to cover the whole room and closet. Ian, the salesman is excellent.

There was a hitch with our 1st carpet choice not being in stock and unavailable for at least a month. Our 2nd choice was in stock. The delivery was delayed due to a mixup on the delivery; however the install manager, Tony, stepped up and got it installed later on the same day.

The flooring purchase process was fine, but the installation was a nightmare. This is because they use inexperienced and untrained laborers. First off, the company's name is Chamberlain Industries, dba A-1 Factory Direct Flooring. The license for A-1 Factory Direct Carpet expired in 2010. The owner, Robert Chamberlain, has a flooring installation license, but he does not supervise the people who end up installing the product. Instead, Chamberlain hires another flooring contractor, "Alex", who will never set foot in your house. On the day of installation, Alex sent two very rude and incredibly unskilled laborers to install the flooring. The problems after they were "done" were almost countless. They cut corners by installing a half round along the baseboards. They ripped the baseboards out and put them lower, leaving an ugly and unpainted mess. The flooring has gaps between the planks, and is lifting at the edges.

It went very well. While I solicited (3) other bids for the same work, I selected A-1 for thier professionalism. They wern't the lowest bidder, but they were very responsive. The installtion went as planned, and was done per previously agreed to schedule. They did an excellent job with the installation, with great attention to details. I would definitely recommed them.

We were really pleased with their work. It ended up taking a little bit longer than they had originally anticipated. The final product, we were really excited about. We really had a great excited their salesman Zach. He's been really great. We've had some issue with some flooring after we had the floors installed and he just popped over on a Sunday to check it out and make sure that the floors for the work done so we've been really happy with them. Really, I just say we had a great experience with their salesman Zach. even Ehen the installer took a little bit longer than anticipated, he ended up giving us a $500 discount because we ended up, because you know, we have to rent a place a little bit longer because it wasn't move in ready. He was wonderful. He was attentive. He brought samples to our house, made house calls a number of times. We had a great experience with him. For the price, to tell you the truth, we didn't do a lot of comparative shopping. The challenge is that the installer they had come to do the work, he was less punctual. We had some issues with him, but he's an independent contractor that A-1 hired out. Ultimately, maybe I will give them maybe a B on punctuality because it's like crossing the wires between the installer and the company who made us believe it was gonna be a week when in reality it was three weeks. They were great.

It worked out fine. I liked that I could delay payment until escrow had closed. Price was really good. Quality was good.

Had a little trouble scheduling the job but after talking with the owner it went smoothly. The installer didn't wrap the stairs tight enough so I had him rewrap them all and with my help holding the tension from beneath each step, we got it done perfectly. Just how I wanted it.

We first contacted A-1 Factory Direct Carpet over a year ago to find out how much it would cost to install new carpet in our master bedroom, son's room and den. At that time, we were unable to proceed because of our budget constraints. This year, when our budget was in better shape, we contacted Bob again. He still had all of our information, so he was able to provide us a new estimate immediately. Because our lives and schedules are very hectic, Bob worked with us and allowed us to redo one room at a time. He ordered all of the carpet initially, so that it would all match and there would be no difference between lots. We were able to first complete our son's room and get it all put back together before starting the master bedroom and then, finally, the den. Bob was very patient and answered all of our questions (of which there were a lot!) The installers worked quickly and efficiently on each room. The new carpet is just beautiful! We look forward to working with Bob and A-1 Factory Direct again when our budget allows us to redo the living room and family room floors (hopefully next year!)

Went great. These guys have a better selection than the big box guys and really took an interest in making sure we got a great product within our budget.

They gave me decent price, installed the carpet properly and on time. I am happy with their service. I cant say much about the carpet quality right now other than it looks good, time will tell if this is good carpet or not.
