Description of Work: I moved from CA to NYC last Feb and, to my surprise, given the abundance of positive reviews I read about this company, had a very negative experience. They broke several pieces of valuable antique furniture, and hid the flaws so I could not see them immediately. They did not reassemble the large pieces, imcluding a large table and bed, completely--so I had to hire somebody to do it. They did not put the furniture where I wanted in my new apartment. They charged me a curb fee even though they parked out front. And they did not return multiple phone calls expressing my displeasure with their service. This company was terrible! I would not recommend them to anyone, or use them again myself.

Description of Work: The representative was very helpful and communicative. At the end, I chose a different company from Angie's recommendation list as I needed moving insurance to be included in the estimate provided by the company. This company's moving insurance was higher than I could afford and I was uncomfortable contracting with an outside company for just the insurance.

Description of Work: They moved a partial load from PODS into their storage for a much better price and better service than PODS. When my house was ready in Utah, they moved the partial load to Utah. The driver was professional. All the crews who were involved in the many moves for this furniture were professional, courteous, and treated my furniture with care and as if it was their own. |I would recommend NorthStar to anyone moving and I would contract with them again if the need arises.
