Good hard working team. Very prompt and courteous.

The second time around we use NorthStar moving. We had a cross-country move: SF to Miami. Pickup went smoothly. The horror story commenced at delivery. The driver, some subcontractor from NY, could not follow basic instructions. He initially blocked the street leading to our townhouse, leading to an install call from the management office. The troubles only got worst from there. The "help" they hired showed up two hours late and only stayed at our place for one hour. The driver kept belittling and insulting the movers and ironically after they were tipped during a small break they took they walked off the job, leaving us with damages and a huge mess. During the short time they were here, they damaged our staircase when they dropped our Peloton. They stacked metal boxes on top of each other. very poorly in our garage which tipped over and caused paint damage to our brand new car. Finally, when they walked out of the job they left our items all over the garage door, street and unassembled around the house. Initially the Company, led by Wendy the COO, was very apolegetic. Wendy touts working in this industry for over 15 years and her words "we know a crappy driver when we see one" reaffirmed that this would be handled fairly and promptly and went as far as saying they would cut ties with this driver. We had agreed to let my credit card company investigate via a dispute, which now I believe was an effort to let sufficient time go by to make it easier to deny any responsibilities. Fast forward six months later and NorthStar has rejected my dispute but tells me they actually have never spoken to anyone at my credit card company. We incurred $7202.02 in damages over a breached contract. The Company has not been any help. We had a very contentious call with Wendy today, again, who touts expertise in this industry and superb service. I was called an extortionist, a blackmailer, among other things because I am trying to find a reasonable solution to damages caused. I must be a great extortionist when I came back a second time to give them my business - not sure why they went with the name-calling as a strategy but they did. I've responded to every message and call these movers ever sent my way but clearly they knew coming into it they would have leverage by letting time go by with the credit car company only to reject the claim. I've made them a reasonable offer to settle this matter but they have not responded.

NorthStar movers were great. They were very friendly, professional and helpful. Could not have asked for a better crew of movers. They were quick and efficient in everything they did.

Went well overall. From a constructive feedback standpoint, the movers weren't able to get everything in the uBox and I would have preferred that they load all the large furniture items first to ensure they got in. Two mattresses to our kingsize bed were left to the end and would not fit into the uBox. I would have preferred that something else be left behind as we ended up having ot get a second pod for just the two mattresses and some outside items. Otherwise, the team was punctual, efficient and did a good job with the loading. Our contact at Northstar was very responsive and clear and provided the insurance docs we requested. I would recommend this mover to others.

The moving went really smooth. They call us 30 mins in advance before they arrived. The movers are very nice and professional. They put protection on all the furnitures and small appliances. It is way beyond our expectation. Definitely recommend the company to anyone who need moving service!! Thank you so much !

This moving company is great. Calling around trying to find a last minute moving company for my mother n law was pressure. Thank goodness for Northstar. From the beginning scheduling was a breeze. Very accommodating to our schedule at an excellent price. They arrived on time and went straight to work. They had A lot of patience as my mom n law directed them what to load onto the truck. It Felt as if they were moving their own mom. Load of off my mind. The same care and customer service was demonstrated when they moved her into her new apartment. One of the guys even made suggestions on where to put the furniture. Can’t not be beat. Thank you NorthStar movers.

Corey and the movers arrived on time and stayed in contact throughout the move. All three were polite, professional, and very thorough with my belongings. Even though it was raining in San Francisco, my property was wrapped up well enough that not a single drop did any damage. They actually arrived at my destination before I did and didn’t waste any time whatsoever. By the time I arrived, most of my belongings were already stacked outside the front door as the three of them continued to unload.

Very friendly and professional. Arrived early, worked very efficiently. Moving was a breeze with their assistance. Wrapped everything well. They also were able to deliver to two desperate locations. Definitely would use their services in the future if I ever need to move again.

NorthStar Moving Company gets great reviews, which is the biggest reason I selected them, and two months after my move, I still deeply regret trusting the reviews and selecting them, I can only imagine all the reviews were paid for. The estimator performed a quick and efficient review of everything that needed to be moved. I got the estimate from him two days later, which is long considering this is usually a same-day turnaround event, and the estimate was rather confusing. I responded to him with clarifying questions, but he didn't respond. I then called NorthStar to follow up, whoever mans the phones (we'll call them customer service) did a great job of being helpful. I had to talk to customer service quite a bit to figure out the details of my move since the estimator (who becomes your rep), was not responsive at all. I have to say the team that handled the additional insurance was friendly and helpful too. On the moving day, the moving crew arrived and they were very nice and professional. They however made it very clear that they felt I had a lot of things that needed to be packed and moved (guess the estimator referred to above did not do as decent of a job as I originally thought), and it took their team of 4 people over 8 hours to pack everything. We're talking about a < 500 sq ft one bedroom apartment where only one person lived so you can do the math. I also recently moved from Washington DC to San Francisco, so I have a good frame of reference of what reasonable expectations are. It took them over 2 weeks to get my things to Seattle, a 12 hour drive (my move from DC to SF (ACROSS the country) took 10 days, and cost over $2,000 less). They do consolidate shipments so assume I had to wait for them to get another customer moving this way, all of which is reasonable, but they never once contacted me to let me know all my things in their possession were still okay and when to expect the delivery. After almost 2 weeks I called them, at which point they scuffled around to get to the ever non-responsive rep, and then called me back with a confirmation. Finally, their arrival in Seattle. I paid for full service packing and unpacking services. The moving team was friendly as always, but complained about having to climb stairs to my house, as if it was something I had control over. I have a total of 10 stairs leading to my front door, so we're not talking about flights of stairs here. In addition, I had to pay them additional fees because of the stairs, so not like they had to do it for free. I was available to point them in the right direction for the boxes, but then we realized the moving team in San Francisco did not label all the boxes, so for most of them we had no idea what was inside and had to guess where they needed to go. Most of my big pieces of furniture, including my couch, bed and office desk were either completely broken, or damaged when it arrived. They reassembled my bed but left parts of it out, so I couldn't use the bed until I got someone to come help me remove the mattress and reassemble the bed. Finally, they left without unpacking any boxes. I thought perhaps we didn't include the unpacking services in my quote after all, but when I checked after they left, we did, so they knowingly left me paying for a service they never provided. I'm sure most will read this review and see it as an exception based on all the other positive reviews, I know I did, but if you're looking for a company where you get value for the money you spend. you value being informed, and you'd like your things to be treated carefully, I would encourage you to look elsewhere.

It was fantastic. It made sure our work was minimal. They were very professional. Showed up bang on time, ensured no damage to our property or goods. The two movers worked very hard, I would recommend it to all my friends.

they gavee a 1 hour courtesy call and showe Wd upon time ready to work. we had packed some stuff, they disassembled and assembled furniture, were quite fast at it. They made sure things go at whatever place we wanted it to go.

I used Northstar moving to move my one bedroom apartment from San Mateo to San Francisco. The phone appointment scheduling was very simple with a helpful agent. On the day of the move, three movers arrived with a huge moving truck very punctually. They were very professional and helpful, and were very efficient in their work. The whole process was completed in a few hours, including disassembling and assembling of furniture. Would definitely recommend this company.

Moved just a few blocks away in San Francisco. Was nervous about parking without a permit and getting everything unloaded in time but the guys were very helpful and figured everything out. They gave me a heads up when they were coming, arrived on time, and were very helpful. They did a great job packing things up quickly and efficiently. Everything from booking with Gabby on the phone, setting expectations for price and time minimum, and then through the move was awesome! Definitely recommend and would use them again.

The NorthStar team were extremely prepared and incredibly professional. Calling into the office to schedule with a quick move date was fast, easy and welcoming. The foreman called the morning of the move to give a real timeframe. The team was fast, efficient, friendly, outstanding. This is the second time using NorthStar in the past year and half. My experience with them has been outstanding. I will definitely use their service again in the future. Hopefully not as quickly as I needed them again this time around.

The guys gave us an hour of lead time, showed up on time, worked fast and effectively, and communicated well. We had no extra scratches or scuffs on either the furniture or the wood floors in either apartment. All of the fragile items were protected. I would absolutely use their services again, no complaints.

They called an hour ahead to notify us about timing. Showed up on time! 3 movers which was crucial because we had tons of stuff. Super friendly and helpful. All our furniture arrived in one piece. Unfortunately the couch didn’t fit but they tried their best 3 times.

The team from NorthStar brought their A game today for our Bay Area move. They were on time, got to work immediately and worked hard and fast the entire day. They were polite, careful and got the move done faster then expected. This is my 3rd time moving with NorthStar and I would move with them again.

We were moving and they offered full service assistance with packing, hauling, disassembling, moving and unpacking. They were quick, on time, offered to reassemble furniture and made this move seamless and easy. Would definitely recommend.
