The first plumber was excellent. He gets an A rating. The second one found a leak under the kitchen sink. It went onto the wood floor. The floor did not have standing water, however he somehow convinced me to use a water extraction company. They showed up within the hour and attached water extraction equipment. It was a nightmare. They had the equipment runing day and night for a week, always telling me by their meter that the floor was wet. They wanted to take out the floor under the sink. I told them to get out and took the floor out myself. It wasn't wet. It was all a scam for a big bill and a commission for the plumber who sent them. I did not have to pay after my complaint to the better business bureau. I believe the plumber set me up. I thought it was odd when he huged me as he left. I am 77 years old.

I had a bad experience; part of which was my fault and part was the first service man. It took 3 trips in all to solve the problem, the second service man who came on the third visit was able to fix the problem. The first guy left during the second visit without telling me and but evidently told his boss (when I called to try and find out what happened) that he had left me an estimate. For those others of you might be, as I was, unfamiliar with plumbing terms, their $99 Drain Special coupon deal requires a 4" access point to the sewer line on the *outside* the house. This was never explained to me when I was trying to talk to them on the phone. The receptionist kept asking me if there was access, and I kept saying, yes you can get to the stopped up drain in the garage. Not until the first guy come out was it explained that this was an specific term.

Everything went fine. Scheduling was great and I was able to use the deal right away. They were prompt and fast. They were able to come on an off hour and did not charge me extra, which was nice.

My experience with them was great and they did a great job. I purchased the big deal coupon for this service. They came very quickly and they did a good job. They stayed a long time actually because it was harder than they thought it was going to be. They stayed till after dark. I will definitely use them again in the future.

The guy was very professional and he was cognizant of the time as I had to leave as it was New Years Eve. He explained everything and he was very nice to work with. He knew what he was doing but they are very pricey.

Our landscape drain backed up during the last big rain storm and caused our garage to flood. Becuase of the high volume of calls that day, Rescue Rooter was one of the only companies able to get someone to our house. Their tech didn't arrive until 5PM. He explained that he would try to use a power auger first since it is the cheaper option, but that if it didn't work he would need to use a spray jet at a higher cost. Unfortunately, he had to use the spray jet. Despite the late hour (finished at 9PM after going back to the shop to retrieve the spray jet equipment) the tech was friendly and professional. The drain was cleared and the following day they had someone come out with a camera to inspect the pipe. It turns out that the pipe had been damaged during the sewer line replacement done by the previous house owner. Rescue Rooter did a great job and I would use them again for this type of work.

Job was not easy but Casey never gave up, kept us informed, and has a positive attitude throughout the job. I would definitely recommend this company, and I will use them for all of my future plumbing needs.

My Main line was sluggish and the Tech's took care of the problem. They were here on time, called before coming, did the job quickly and solved the problem. Excellent service!

Done incompletely the first time, had to come back and do it again. Ultimately did it correctly, but not a great confidence builder...

The water heater was not getting gas flow, because we were having foundation work, and the jackhammering had triggered our automatic earthquake shut off for the gas meter that serves the water heater. He reset it in about five seconds, and the water heater worked. When we tried to pay him, he said, "Call me when you have a real plumbing problem." His name is Mark, and we will certainly call him again!

$ 864.11 was quote but upon installation I had to pay an additional $ 85.00 for charges that were never before explained to me, and which included a charge of $ 35 for the electric plug on the washer without which it would be inoperative, a charge and practice which I consider outrageous!

They were very nice and we were very happy with them. They were informative and we felt their prices were reasonable.

They did a great job. We were pleased.

Their service went well. They were on time and I was pleased overall.

Their service was good. The only problem was some confusion in payment. I had already paid, but they thought I had not. I had to show them the receipt of the Big Deal so they wouldn’t charge me twice.

We were preparing Thanksgiving Dinner. We put much more peeling down the garbage disposal and when we went to clean up the sink would not drain. We tried to run the disposal for longer periods of time and it still did not work. On Friday we called in Rescue Rooter because it still would not drain. He had to get on the roof witch caused an additional charge (which was waived). He was here for several hours and in the end it worked. Now we are more careful about what we put down the disposal.

My son flushed a plastic toy down the toilet and it caused a backup down the line -- backing up yuck into the basement. After I had tried as hard as I could to get it out by myself, I gave in and called the professional. Although there's some real sticker shock, we got a $50 off coupon from going online and because we called early enough (we called before 9pm -- I don't know when the cut off time is) we got the daytime rate. The two plumbers came within the time frame they had set and were congenial and professional. The bonus for us was that when they finally knocked the toy loose, they pushed the drain cleaning tool farther down for me and took out some roots that would have been a problem for me sooner or later. I guess I got 2 for 1 on that. As for our son, we had to tell him, "you know that we love you forever, but NEVER flush a toy again!"

It turned our very well. They were very prompt, effective and less expensive than I thought they would be.

After comparing my job to others on Angie's List, I consider that this job was overly expensive, and in future will use independent contractors on Angie's list or other sources. Despite having discounts on their website, Rescue Rooter never mentioned (which I found out later after the job was done and paid) it. The trenchless sewage pipe installation quoted was overly exorbitant. My reocommedation is that Rescue Rooter is only meant for companies with deep pockets.

I was very happy with them the job was a little more complicated than I had thought. They did it for what they quoted me for.

Fifteen minutes after the appointment was scheduled, I received a call from the REscue Rooter office from a woman who said that their staff meeting ran over and the plumber was on his way. He arrived about 30 minutes after the appointment. He checked the toilets, and said that cleaning the main drain wouldn't help. Instead he said that one of the toilets needed the float device and plug replaced because the tank was not filling with enough water.He offered to do it for about $300. Since I done this myself a couple of times before, I declined. The next thing I knew he was striding toward the door, looking irritated. I asked if he wanted me to pay him for the visit, which I expected to do if I didn't have them do the work. He said angrily that he wasn't going to "take my money" for a ten-minute visit and left. I half expected someone to call me and tell me that he made a mistake and I owe them money, but that hasn't happened - yet. I'll have to check for a lien on my property.
