They went above and beyond to make sure everything got done that needed to be done. The Worker was very knowledgeable and helped me with my blocked drain and gave me advice on how to avoid it happening again. Awesome job.

The service provider installed the new garbage disposal successfully but was unable to clear the bathroom sink clog. I was still charged for the unsuccessful attempt to clear the sink clog. The provider diagnosed that a pipe had ruptured under the house, which caused the clog, and suggested that new pipes needed to be installed. They provided a $2500 estimate for the additional work that seemed expensive to me. I had another provider take a look at the clog and possible pipe rupture. After inspecting the pipes under the house, that provider didn’t believe the pipe had ruptured and successfully cleared the clog without issue.

I was pleased with everything except the price which I thought was excessive. Next time I will get bids and search for a less expensive option. Luis, the plumber, was very good.

They responded quickly and arrived on time on a Sunday afternoon. The plumber was courteous and completed the work quickly. The price was more than I anticipated however given that they prioritized our request and came so quickly I can’t complain

Had a clogged sewer drain. Couldn't remember the name of the plumber I had used the last time, so I called based upon Angie's List ratings looking for someone who could show up that day. Rescue Rooter in San Leandro was the first I came across who could show up. It was priced $60 more than I had previously paid, but when your sewer line is clogged and crap is literally backed up into your bath tubs and showers you tend to quibble less. The guy showed up, he was pleasant and professional in his bearing. He managed to unclog my sewer drain, but broke his snake in the process. He was unable to remove the snake from my clean-out and said he needed to go back to the office to get some help. This was around 5pm. At 7pm I got a call saying he would be out the next day. No show. I call and they send someone out the subsequent day (Brian). He was pleasant as well. He used a camera to try and figure out what the snake was stuck in and we discovered a broken sewer lateral. He was unable to remove the snake. Later that day he came out with a helper and they were able to remove the broken snake from my clean-out. Brian was in a pickup truck and the other guy was in a car; neither of them wanted to transport the broken snake in their vehicle so it laid in my back yard for three days and two calls later. A data point with regards to RR's pricing: Brian gave me a quote to replace my sewer lateral of $13,700, and $3200 to patch it. I had four other quotes done from the list of accredited contractors from CV Sanitary District, and they ranged from $4000 to $5400 to completely replace my lateral from my foundation to the county tie-in. RR charged me $189 to snake my sewer drain. The other four times I've had it snaked I paid $125-$130. Rating reasoning: Overall: Left snake in my back yard, requiring multiple calls to get it removed. Charged 50% more than others for the same work. Price: Charged 50% more than others for same work. Quality: Left broken snake hanging out of my sewer drain. Responsiveness: Took two calls to get snake removed from back yard. Punctuality: Didn't come back to remove snake as promised first day, nor the subsequent day. Professionalism: All the above.

Technician was professional and was able to respond fast.

I liked that they were responsive immediately. I didn't like they were inconsistent with appointment time.

I've been using Rescue Rooter for about 20 years. I'll maybe use them again. They had to come back at least 3 times before the job was done correctly. They're expensive.

We opted not to use them... they were twice the price and said it would take 10 days to repair the unit since the replacement part "had to be ordered from the manufacturer." The part is readily available at large hardware stores... if they don't want to work on certain kinds of repairs, they should remove themselves from that category on Angie's List. It's a waste of my time and bad for their reputation.

Since i took the morning off to be here for RescueRooter Bay Area East 8126, and they were a no-sho, I have a few minutes to write a bit about my experience with them. Why my experience with RescueRooter Bay Area East 8126 was one I will not repeat... because i will never call them again. I called and made an appt. 3 days in advance of their visit, I explained, in detail, what my problem was, and exactly what i needed (pipe exploration camera). they said okay, and we made the appt. I took the day off work to be here for them. they call at the exact moment they're supposed to be here, and say they don't have anyone that can do what they said they could do. They had three days to call me back in advance, and in fact, i asked them on the phone, when i made this appointment, for someone to please call me BEFORE they come so i can go into detail with the tech. They didn't do that. Just called at 8 a.m., for my 8-10am appointment window to say, "well, we don't have a camera for that" They blamed it on the "call service" I guess when i was going into detail when i made the appointment that's my experience with Rescue Rooter Bay Area East 8126, they use a call service to book appointments then (are supposed to) follow up later. They failed to do that, which in turn caused me to miss work, and create a boiling in my stomach. ;-) communication is the most important thing there is with most things, and appointments are no different. thanks my experience with Rescue Rooter Bay Area East 8126.

We had pipe burst at night and flooded the house. Rescue Rooter arrived at 800 am and repaired the pipe. While here, did free general inspection and agreed to repair leaks and plugged shower pipe. Gave us senior discount and repeat business discount. Previous work was drain cleaning. Plumber did all work while cleanup crew was working.

I don't know if it's only the office staff that is unprofessional, unorganized and border line rude... Or the whole business. I never spoke to or saw a plumber.

After all the A rated providers said they could not come today, it was a delight to get a prompt response (no IVR, no holds with musak) and an immediate appointment within a two hour time frame. The service from initial call to completion was less than 90 minutes! Provider Pedro was professional and courteous and educational. Service was $295 which is what was quoted on the phone but I thought we would get a senior citizen discount which was not reflected on the invoice.

I would give the other company that I used 'F'. The other company is called Rescue Rooter. Maybe I didn't get them through Angie's List which is my mistake. They get an 'F' across the board. They are dishonest. They cost too much money. I think that they are a failure. I would never use this provider again in the future. I would love to leave a report with the Better Business Bureau, they were that bad.

They did just fine. They were very speedy. They got things done quickly. I was very happy with them. They did not try to do more than what they needed to do and they were very polite. We were just very happy with them.

They did the work well. I had no complaints. They gave me a quote and stuck to it. They got the work done on time. This is not something you want done but they did it properly and we were happy with the work.

It went fine. Communication was great. I was very happy with them.

Scheduling was fine. They were out within a few hours. Communication went well with the technician and the pricing was fair.

I liked that they told me how much the service would be up front.

On the day the work was to be done, and not showing up on time, price was now 4400.

Terrible. The writer of the contract stated it would be 4440. for 20 feet. When it came down to it they would only do 10 feet. Still had drain problems. They never do what they say, like showing up for estimates but will sell stuff you dont need.

The work was completed in 2-1/2 days. They arrived when expected and cleaned up all the debris.

1. Always say they will be here in 1 hour - 4 hours later still no show 2. Have done this exact job 5 times in the past many years - always over-price 3. Always require the supervisor to come out (remember same job) and try to sell us all kind of expensive non-sense Would not use them ever if we could find a decent plumber in our area for emergencies (clogged sewer lines are always emergencies!) Just grin-and-bear it...

The 2 employees who showed up were courteous . I was quoted a price 2 times what I had paid in the past. When I stated this they said they'd make a call and came back with a quote for half. they spent approximately 10 minutes clearing the drain, then stated they had lost the blade in the line and couldn't do anymore because the line was so bad. I had to have a real plumber come out 2 days later as the line backed up again. He came out on a Saturday after 6 pm so he was on overtime. He was still cheaper than Rescue Router. He spent a good 30 minutes clearing the line. Stated that the previous clean out job was bad. Haven't had any additional trouble since. I will never call Rescue Router again.
