We have a large tree in front of our house that is very important to us. A bad job could harm our property value. Turns out they did a great job and we're very happy.

A representative came out and took careful notes of work required, and the quote matched the price I paid. The crew did a thorough job and cleaned up well afterward.

We first called on a weekend and left a message. No one ever returned our call. Next we called during the week, when staff was in the office, and set up an appointment. Both my husband and I work, so we needed an appointment on a day one of us would normally have off. About 1/2 hour before the appointment, we received a call saying that the representative couldn't make it. When we tried to set up another for the same day, we were told it wasn't possible. Now we're calling other companies. We're done with this one.

The company came out the next day after I called them at the time they said they would. The salesman was very polite and very knowledgeable on what needed to be done to the trees. He explained what would be done, then gave me a quote right there and then. I decided to use the company, even though they were not the lowest quote due to the professionalism of the company. They came on the day they said they would with a 3 man crew and did an excellent job on trimming the trees and left no mess after the job. They even swept away all the leaf droppings from the roof of the house that was already there before they started the job. I would use them again.

Work was done to complete satisfaction, workers cleaned up after work, everyone was very professional and friendly, would definitely use this company again.

They were excellent. They had good communication, quick response to phone calls, and good at informing of when the workers would be at my site. The workers were very competent, fast, and efficient.

Overall very happy with work. Davey Tree is a nationwide tree service company. Very knowledgeable and professional team. Dave wasn't present when tree trimming crews came, but lead guy on crew spoke good English and had good detailed notes from Dave on what to do. Only minor annoyances were: 1) Work took 3 separate visits (front yard, back yard, stump removal). 2) One of the fence panels was damaged by a falling branch and nothing was said. 3) Chipper on our driveway left a big oil stain. Be sure to put something down a tarp or cardboard if they park the tree chipper on your driveway.

Roy came for an estimate on 8-30-06 and was on time, very polite and knowledgeable about health/care of trees. The four workers who came on 9-14-06 were prompt, careful and worked well together. We are happy with the work they provided.

Overall experience was good. They came in one time to provide a quote (written and on the spot). I called back in and negotiated a slightly better rate and a good turnaround time to do the work. They arrived a little bit late (it was a really hot day and they got tied up at another job), finished earlier than promised and cleaned up really well.

Salesman (David Gardner)(was ever a name so well chosen?) very presentable, knowledgeable. Work done on time, very well executed. Bottlebrush tree emerged ugly, but not a condition of successful work. Clean up 99.99% perfect. I would ask these people back.

They did an excellent job, the work was great, and I would be glad to hire them again. The price all depended on how thick, and what type of tree you have. I am not sure what type of trees we had exactly, but the trees were pretty thick, and I thought the price was reasonable. They cleaned up after themselves as well.

MY NEIGHBOR & I BOTH GOT ESTIMATES FROM DAVEY FOR OUR SHARED TREE. DAVEY HONORED THE LOWER BID BETWEEN THEM. DUE TO A CANCELLATION, THE WORK WAS DONE ONLY A DAY AFTER WE CONTACTED THEM. THE COMPLETED TRIM LOOKED VERY PROFESSIONAL & ALL THE TRIMMINGS WERE REMOVED.

They did an excellent job & are a good tree company. They are a big outfit but I didn't have to wait long for them to come out here. They came soon after I called & I'll be calling them again next month. I would recommend them.

I got this company's name by the city of San Jose and decided to use them after the first contact. They come out right away and cut the tree down. They guy was very polite and I didn't think there was going to be a problem but they never came back to finish things.

It was a very experienced tree service, they have been in business for years. They trimmed our trees and did a good job cleaning up. They even did a little extra without even being asked to do it.

This company does really great work. They are kind of expensive, however they were worth every penny. I have used them frequently in the past. They are a good company and have been around for many years. I will definitely use them again.

MIKE BURCH IS ALWAYS A WONDERFUL COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE. HE COMES ON TIME AND HAS THE WORK DONE IN A TIMELY MANNER. HE UNDERSTANDS ALL OF THE TREES ON THE PROPERTY, AND THE PROPER WAY TO CARE FOR THEM, WHETHER THEY NEED TO BE TRIMMED OR FERTILIZED. THE WORKERS DO A THOROUGH JOB AND CLEAN UP WHEN THEY LEAVE.
