Darryl Sweet was the gentleman that came out and he was great. I live in an old house and he didn't charge me too much. He said that he would do a fix-it thing and see how it would go. He said all the right things and did all the right things. I will definitely be using him again. The service was great. He didn't gouge me. He said that it could be good for two years or two months and then we have to replace it. He didn't immediately go to replacing it and he was very thoughtful and a nice person. He explained what he was doing. All plumbing seems expensive to me.

I called San Jose plumbing on a Friday afternoon and they were able to fit me in on Saturday! Mike's call was even earlier than I had been quoted. He crawled through my very cramped crawl space entrance, evaluated the situation, explained everything to me and very patiently answered all of my questions. He got the materials and was able to finish on the fast side of his estimate. This was a great experience. I truly appreciated Mikes patience and professionalism and will certainly call San Jose plumbing again.

Contacted SJ Plumbing on Monday and since the matter wasn’t urgent, scheduled an appointment on Wednesday. The operator was courteous, good humored, very accommodating and professional. They showed up on time ready to work. They new exactly what the problem was with regard to the winning noise in the toilet and fixed it in no time flat. I had my bathroom remodeled a year ago and the toilet just never sat right on the new tile – always wobbling. I was concerned it hadn’t been installed properly so they analyzed the problem and come to find out it was a simple solution – it just needed caulking around the base. I had the master bathroom remodeled at the same time I did the hall bathroom but there was nothing wrong with that toilet. Since SJ Plumbing charges a minimum for their service call and had time left on the clock, they offered to take a look at that toilet too (apparently caulking around the base of the toilet is required by building code). Sure enough, the master bathroom toilet needed to be caulked as well – so they took care of that too. What a great group of folks. I would recommend them any time – and if I need service in the future, would have no hesitation in using their services.

I called them on a Wednesday and was greeded pleasantly on the phone. We scheduled a date and stime (2 hour window. 12:00 – 2:00) for the coming Friday. On that Friday I received a call from the plumber/inspector around 11:30, 30 minutes before he would show up. Sure enough the plumber arrived on time. He was very courteous and began work right away. He seemed knowledgeable and covered the house thourougly and efficiently. After the inspection he offred to bring his report personally. He did and phoned before doing so. The report was proffessional and detailed. I was very impressed by the quality of service – Communication was exellent, the work was fast and thourough.

The work turned out great. They did a great job. They are very honest and professional. They are able to accurately diagnose the problems. I had a toilet that was leaking and actually hired a different plumber to come out and, supposedly, fix it. Within an hour later of that plumber leaving, the toilet was leaking again. So, I called San Jose Plumbing up because I had used them before. San Jose Plumbing was able to find out what the real plumbing was and had the equipment on-hand to fix it right away. They fixed the leak, and I have not had a problem since. They give accurate quotes ahead of time. They are really nice and pleasant to deal with on the phone. They are very available; they came out the same day.

Jason showed up on time and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. While he was there I had him install a new garbage disposal and look at an exterior hose faucet. He made another appt to come back to fix the outside faucet because it required time to dig up the pipe. Again, he showed up on time fixed the problem quickly. Everything was clean and functional when he was done and the price was very fair. I am extreamly pleased.

I received a call at 8:30 on a Sunday night from a brand new tennant who said the drains at the low points of the house had been backing up all day. (Why they couldn't call during day hours is beyond me.) I got on Angie's List, looked for a highly rated plumber and found San Jose Plumbing. Angelo was at the house in Los Gatos within 30 minutes, and had the problem resolved within another half hour. He was extrememly repectful of the tennants, and called to let me know exactly what was going on. What could have been a nightmare for an inexperienced landlord (me) turned out better than expected. We've had no more issues with the plumbing. Thanks Angelo!

Came out on very short notice, very friendly. The end result looks solid and will hopefully do much better than the previous plumbing.

They were excellent, punctual, knowledgeable and reasonable. They didn’t try to drag anything on me to get more money.

I called on Friday, 8/28 to inquire about an estimate for a leaking main water line from the city meter to the house for my 91 year old mother in law. I had called San Jose Plumbing because of a very positive experience using them some time ago. Pleasant woman in the office said they could get someone out to look at it in the afternoon, 2 to 4 pm. Received a courteous follow-up call from the same person around noon, stating that they could not make it that afternoon, and we rescheduled for Sat. 8/29. Jason arrived on time for the estimate. After inspecting the leak at the main house valve, he stated that the entire line was most likely rusted and needed to be replaced. Said he could not do the job that day, which I understood and expected. Quoted $2800, and said I might want to consider one of the trenchless companies who don't have to trench and disturb the landscaping. He said he would call me on Monday with the name of one of those companies. Two weeks later, and I never received a call back. I inquired about the 10% Angie's list discount, as noted in their listing. He stated that the discount didn't apply on a "bid", rather, just a service. I asked about the senior discount, and he told me that didn't apply to a "bid" job either. He did say they would replace some old sprinkler pipes at no charge. It seemed from the time he saw what was involved that he really wasn't interested in the job, and the lack of follow-through seemd to support this. I ended up going to another plumber from Angie's list.

GREAT! They were quick to respond, and he arrived within specified time. He made several attempts to unclog the drain. Unfortunately, he was not able to complete the job and later on in the day they sent Kevin out who got it done very quickly. Not only did he unclog the drain, he cleaned up the smelly mess in my shower and then didn't charge me for the first appointment. I would call them again and recommend them anytime.

SJ Plumbing now is our "go-to" plumber--won't use anyone else. They always show up in the designated time, are courteous and professional. The plumbers appear honest and know what they are doing. Have interacted with other plumbing groups--they are by far the best!

Angelo was quick, efficient and helpful. It took him less than an hour to remove the old toilet, clean up 20 years of debris, replace and test the flush on the toilet. He explained a common flaw in the toilet mechanism and how to resolve any issues with it. He kept the area clean as he went (not easy - toilet removal is pretty unpleasant).

The woman that assisted me on the phone (I wish I could remember her name) was so nice and very helpful. I had used San Jose plumbing just twelve day before this so I was confident with using them again. It was Saturday so I knew I might have to wait a while before someone could come out. She set me up with Caesar to do the work later that day. When he came out (which he called ahead to let me know he was on his way) he was very polite and professional. Caesar tried snaking the line but it got stuck and he had to cut into the line to release the snake. Caesar replaced the line he cut out and also added a clean out to make any further clogs easier to get to. This was not a easy job to tackle once the snake was stuck, but Caesar remained very pleasant and professional during the whole job. I would recommend this company to anyone in need of a good plumber. They are very profession and pleasant to work with.

It was great. Dave came out when he said and I didn't have to take time off work while this was being done. Dave replaced the pipes and put a clean out on the line. He cleared the backup on the line also. I was so impressed with not only his work, but how great it was to work with him and this company. I also received a estimate on replacing all my galvanized pipe to copper. Time for me to save up money to have this done and I will have Dave do the replacement.

Scheduled an appointment the day before. Mark and Martin arrived on time and ready to go. After examining the problem, they clearly explained the range of possibilities and prices beforehand. They approached the repair using the least invasive method and when that did not work, they moved to the second least invasive alternative, which worked like a charm. Cleaned up the worksite and removed the debris. Mark took the time to explain the work completed and provided some useful tips for the future. Very personable staff and top-notch professional service make recommending San Jose Plumbing a no-brainer.

San Jose Plumbing is top notch. They arrived the same day I called for quote, understood the job very well and provided a written quote on the spot. I choose them for the job and set up appoinment for the earliest my schedule would accomodate. On the appointed day, the plumbers arrived a few minutes early, they put drop clothes inside my home to protect my floors (access to crawl space is through inside closet), they worked quickly and efficiently, excellent quality of work, they cleaned up the site, they are very polite and professional. I will not hesitate to use San Jose plumbing for my next plumbing job.

We heard water running in the bathroom. The noise didn't stop when we turned off the shutoff valves under the sink and toilet, but it did stop when we shut off the water to the house. The service technician, Darryl, arrived early (but called to say he was on the way), found the leak quickly and repaired it. I mentioned the water pressure seemed very high and he found the pressure regulator (50 years old) was not working (we 120 lbs of water pressure instead of the normal 50-60 lbs which probably helps explain the leak) and so I had him replace the pressure regulator and the shutoff valve (which didn't shutoff completely) while he was there. While in our home, he covered the floors with tarps so there was no mess to clean up.

Joe showed up exactly when he said he would, was professional, tidy, explained everything and did a great job.

The plumbers were at my house within an hour of my call. They had the drain cleared in half an hour. The charge was reasonable and the plumbers were friendly and professional.

woke up a big leak on our lower floor, water everywhere...called Mike in the morning and told me to shut off the water and wait until the dispatcher called. She did, and we scheduled a appt for 3 hours later. Luis arrived and took care of the situation immediately, as well as gave me a few good tips about how to take care of the water heater and other water-related emergencies. Luis worked for about 2-3 hours taking out my old Rheem 50 gallon, gas water heater and putting in a new Bradford White (same size). He was very thorough, professional and friendly.

In the morning, we noticed that our shower was not draining. We had to go to work, so I didn't call until I got home after 7:00 PM. By 8:00 Darryl and his assistant were on the job. They were able to remove a stuccoed over trap and clear the line. They didn't have the right size plug to put back, but told us what to get and how to install it. They also recommended that we have someone come to take a picture of the plug area because they felt that there was still something not right. Darryl said to let him know when we called and he'd come out at that time for free. So, in about an hour, the problem was solved and the drain worked again. So the next day, when I got home, my husband said that Darryl had come by with the plug and installed it. That was a total sweet surprise. I've already recommended San Jose Plumbing to a friend. Great job and I recommend them without reservation.
