They work was done on time and precisely. I have never seen such quality done like this before and I am amazed. Ron Andrews was very professional and had great communication skills.

Ron inspected the gutters thoroughly before estimating the job, and provided good advice on what we did and did not need to have done. He explained all of the details clearly ahead of time, and no further questions came up later when the work was done. His crew was quick and competent, and did a good job cleaning up afterwards. I inspected the work myself after they left and it all appears to be good quality. Overall I am happy with the results and would engage Ron again for any future work.

They did a very good job overall! During the beginning, the roofing options were explained without pushing us to the most expensive. He was very honest about which products work, and which don’t. I was very happy with how quickly they worked. Their timeliness was incredible. They worked from very early to late in the evening to complete the work on time. Our personalities really meshed as well; they had a great demeanor. All of his employees have been with him for 10+ years, which really stood out with me.

Ron was extremely professional - came out and gave us an estimate and started the work the following week. Everything looks great and has already been tested with the first big rainstorm of the year.

A week before we called Ron's company, we had another contractor put in the two downspouts for us. He gave us an estimate, went over budget, and only after he was done did we find out that he used plastic rather than galvanized metal for the downspout. We called Ron, got a quote right away, and the price stayed the same. The work was done promptly and professionally. We'll be happy to recommend them to friends.

Ron was very responsive; returning our initial call within minutes. He came out to take measurements during the day and came back in the evening to present the bid and our color choices. His bid was lower than the others we got and he was able to accommodate our schedule to tear out the gutters before we got the house painted, and come back the following week to install the new gutters. Once we selected a color it was all automatic from there; Ron and crew completed the job in one day, and cleaned up everything afterward. It was so spotless, when we got home, it didn't look like anyone had been here.....except for our nice, new gutters. Ron came back a few nights later to make sure we were happy with the work. There was one minor adjustment that we needed to make to a downspout, which Ron did the following morning. All in all, a very professional job at a reasonable price.

Not at all. I emailed the company. They called the next day. The person I spoke to seemed very nice and boasted about their wonderful reviews on Angies List. Unfortunately, they failed to show up nor called to apologize or reschedule. Thankfully, someone else was home that day so I didn't have to take time off from work just to get left hanging.

Overall, it went pretty well. Ron was the only person I called who gave me a firm price based on description over the phone. And the price was in line, or a little less, than others were willing to estimate over the phone. The installation was a little delayed, first by me, then by them getting the correct downspout, but I was kept informed along the way and when the work was done, it was done very well.

A big rainstorm brought down the second story gutter on the rear of my house. Turns out it was a 45-foot gutter with only one downspout. When I asked Ron out to take a look, he mentioned that we should have two downspouts (one for each 30 feet). This was part of the reason the gutter fell. The other reason was clogging due to pine needles, since we have an awful lot of them falling on the roof from nearby pine trees. Ron recommended a gutter cover (he sells a particular brand) and demonstrated how it works from the back of his truck. I also had a leaky gutter in the front that had caused some wood rot in the fascia, rafters and plywood. I asked him to also replace that gutter and fix the wood. His men did all of this in two days. They needed to come back the second day only because they needed to jack the garage up a bit since it was slightly bowed in order to nail in the new fascia. All of the work was completed as expected. It looks very nice and I was particularly impressed with the quality of the work. The only thing was they had to reschedule at the last minute on the originally scheduled date, but came out the next day so that was fine.

Ron Andrews (RA Construction) was very thorough in showing me all options for gutters and covers and in answering all my questions about the variety of gutters and covers available and not available (I had done some prior internet research). I found him open, honest and clear about what he would be doing and chose him for those reasons rather than for economic ones. The work was done very well and on schedule and I was completely satisfied (which is why I am now having him do my roof). This report is for work done in Oct. 2008, the reporting on which slipped from my mind as I was, and am, traveling a lot.

Called back for my request for an estimate. Scheduled an estimate but never showed up or called until much later that night with an excuse. Setup another time the next day but that he would call and confirm - which he never did. I have not heard from him again.

A falling tree branch damaged a gutter. Since the house is 34 yeas old and I wanted leaf guards, I decided to replace the gutters. Ron came right away and gave the most detailed proposal. I didn't want just a mesh leaf guard and he thoroughly explained the GutterShell system he uses. It was just what I wanted. He even said he would add another downspout where it was needed. He also helped me decide what color would be best. His crew did the work in one day and I hardly knew they were there. They also replaced a portion of the wood fascia damaged by dry rot. This was not a surprise, he had put it in the estimate. They cleaned up and hauled everything away. It wasn't the lowest estimate, but the service and quality were top notch.

I received estimates from four roofers. Some gave me low starting costs that required upgrades. One tried to sell me too many upgrades. Ron quoted exactly what I needed, not more or less. I wanted the cool roof, which he special ordered for me. He brought out a sample card with different colored shingles for me to choose. I'm in San Ramon which is a 35 mile drive, and Ron came up whenever I needed more help. He said the roof could be replaced in a day, and gutters in a half-day, but his crew came out and did everything in one day. His crew arrived at 8 am, tore off the old 2 roofs, installed the new roof, and new gutters with Guttershell covers, cleaned up and finished by 5 pm. They were polite and professional. I asked to have one side evened out, and the worker cut the edges straight and replaced a couple of shingles. I asked for some gutter material to match color, and the man cut me a piece and made sure the edges were smooth. The new roof and gutters look great!

Excellent. I actually found this contractor through my contractor.com and had him and 5 other companies come out and bid the job. The bids ranged from $19,500 to $10,500. I picked Ron because he seemed like a stand up guy and has a good warranty program. After a few delays due to weather his crew came out and did an excellent job reroofing my house

Arrived on time. Completed work in one day. Added much need additional down spouts. Workers cleaned up site before leaving and were very personable while working on my home. Workers took the time to answer my questions during installation process in a friendly professional manner. Easily our best experience with home improvements in over twenty years. RA Construction also installs new roofs and sky lights and we will happily contact Ron when we are ready to replace our roof and install sky lights next year.
