We needed gutters replaced on our house. When we spoke with Ron about the quote, we needed to get the gutters painted before installing on the house. Ron was able to deliver the gutters so we could get them painted before installing. The other companies we spoke with weren't able to accommodate us. The gutters look beautiful and shows professional workmanship. We would hire Ron and team again should the need arise.

RA Construction was amazing. Ron called me up right away to give me a quote. We set up a date, talked about different gutters & covering & my issue with the gutters near my salt water pool. Ron suggested copper for the backyard. The price was very reasonable. His team was very professional, courtesy, wore protection & fast. I'm very happy with my new gutters. He was the only one from Angie's list to respond with a reasonable amount of time. Hire Ron & his team, you won't be disappointed.

I purchased the package in mid August. The vendor never contacted me. I called him the next week. It took him anither week to come for the estimate. I was happy with the estimate and arranged an additional $600 worth of work. He indicated that he would be out the end of September to do the work. By the first week of October he had not come or called so I called him. He made several excuses and said he would be out in a week. When he didn’t show or call I reached out to Angie’s List. By that time it was over 30 days and Angie’s List told me I forfeited my nearly $400 because it was over 30 days. I would say it went very badly from all Accounts. If Angie’s List had refunded me my money I would have just found another contractor. But since they refused and the contractor had flaked out I’m am sunk. So for all the rest of you, if you continue to do business with Angie’s List remember they stick hard and fast to the 30 day limit.

On time, professional and did exactly what was contracted. Would definitely hire again.

It turned out terribly. He didn't show up and didn't call. I contacted him back and said he was very busy. Three months later, he said he was not going to do the job. It was not in his profile or something like that. He had tried to get other people to take the job, but they couldn't. Then, he said I could contact Angie's List and hopefully get a refund, but when I did that, it was out of the 30 day period. The only way for me to get a refund was to purchase another deal from another company, which I did. Now, I am going to get a refund for the first job now that I've made a purchase on another deal. As far as RA Construction is concerned, they just didn't do the work. I continue to see them advertise. In my case, they just didn't follow through. It was totally unacceptable. He never got back to me except through other contacts that I initiated. The pricing was reasonable, that's why I purchased the deal. I think, in light of the fact that they weren't prepared to do the job, I'd still give them a low grade on pricing.

I wont know how well they did until it rains but it looks good.

Very well. The owner was quick to respond, submitted a quote for entire job right away. The installers were there within a few days. The job was completed on the first day of work. The installation looks professional and complete. I am pleased with the results.

They haven't quite finished the job, but it's working out fine. Overall, they have done a pretty good job. I did have some extra work done. They had to order some parts, which is why it is taking longer. The price and the work have both been good.

Conversation with Owner RA Construction went very well. He provided estimate and approximate duration to complete job. Due to other pressing matters, I decided to wait to move forward.

Contractor never showed up for any of the scheduled appointments. Avoid this company and save yourself a lot of time.

Ron and his crew did a great job. I had multiple quotes from other companies. It was interesting to see how each company reviewed the scope of work and the type of information that they provided to me. I appreciated Ron taking the time to walk me through all of the options and showing me different product samples. Ron and his team was able to start the job quickly and they finished on time and on budget.

I called Ron on Thursday 5/12/16. It was decided that he will come to visit by or before Monday. No show. I called him again on Monday 05/16/16 evening. As per him he forgot to add my visit to his calendar. We communicated via text messages and he agreed to come today 05/18/16 at 1 pm. I left my meeting half an hour earlier to get to home, he never showed up. I called him after 1:10 pm and he gave me another excuse about having his neck stretched 4am. He could have sent me quick text or called me. He had enough time between 4am to 1pm to alert me. Due to lot of home renovations, these guys are busy, I could understand that. But this is no way to conduct business. Sorry, wont use this guy again and also wont recommend him.

We found Ron's company on Angies List and relied upon the recommendations. This worked well. Remove 20 year old leaking gutters and downspouts. Leaking at the seams for a long time, and were overflowing during heavy rain. Ron's team removed all of the old material and debris. We have some artificial turf and Ron's team was very careful to put down large drop cloths, protect the turf and keep it clean. We have some painted steel posts 6in x 6in x 18ft that rise past the gutters and are 1/4 inch from the gutters. Ron's team wrapped all of the posts with furniture pads to prevent any paint scrapes on the posts while working to remove and replace the gutters. We choose a color for the gutters which was not a stock color. Ron promptly ordered the material in the special color and used it to custom make the gutters and downspouts. Ron's team flushed all the drains to be sure there were no clogged pipes before installing the new gutters and downspouts. Installed custom color seamless aluminum gutters, downspouts and stainless steel leaf guards. At our request during the initial sales visit Ron showed us three different types of leaf guards and explained the pros and cons of each. I already knew something about leaf guards because last year at a friends house, I was present for another company's presentation of high end leaf guards. Also, my son's house has the high end type and I've used the low cost type before. After hearing Ron's experience installing all three types, we chose the stainless steel middle priced guards. We saved money and I believe will have better results than if we had chosen the high cost type. I was particularly happy with the special care Ron and his team took with the unusual situations at my home. They listened and understood what I needed them to do and then took the proper precautions to accommodate my requests. Outstanding carefully done work. Excellent results. Good Value. I would highly recommend their work to others.

It went okay. It took them about a month and a half. I kept on calling them because he did not tell me he was busy. He kept giving me excuses and they forgot who I was. Then all this came up and they said they were not going to be able to make it. He finally made it two days before Christmas and had it done. Right away he wanted payment on it. This was a $389 big deal. I paid over the big deal price. So far the work looks good although we have not had a big rain so I have not had a chance to go in the back of the house to see if it has been leaking anywhere. To get a better grade from me they could have had a little better communication and given me a time when they were going to do it. He kept putting it off and kept having issues that prevented him from coming. By the time they got ready to do it, two guys showed up and did it themselves and he showed up 45 minutes later so I do not understand why he had to be out there. I actually wanted an itemized listing so I could use it for my taxes, but he has not gotten back to me yet.

Got an estimate to fix the roof vent and replace the front rain gutter (approx 40 ft). We wanted the gutter to drain in the opposite direction from its current location. We also had shingles missing from the roof vent on the top of the roof. The estimator was the owner of the company. He priced the replacement of the gutter and the fixing of the roof vent missing shingles. He estimated the repair on the roof vent by standing on the front porch and looking up at the roof vent. He was to match the color of the gutter and our down spout to the current colors, They were to be out and do the work the following week. We heard no more about the color until the day after he was suppose to return, several workers showed up with straight white gutters (ours were coffee brown) and white down spout. They were not prepared to fix the leaks in the roof. they were nice but did not know about anything that we had discussed with the owner. After asking questions about what they were going to install and when they could fix the roof; they said they would come back later after the owner contacted us. He was suppost to call us the next day. After waiting a couple of days, we called him and he was upset that we had questions. I thought it was worked out and he said that he would be out within the week and he would come himself. He never showed., we called again and he said he would be right out within the week. Again he never showed. We got another estimate from Los Gatos Roofing for the roof vent repairs. Their estimator said he would inspect the roof before he could give an estimate. He found the damage to the roof vent and gave us an estimate on fixing it. We will be going with them. They appear to more professional and through. He also took a piece of broken shingle so that he could match the color. RA Construction was never that interested in matching the color. The repair to the roof vent is the main repair needed for the upcoming raining season. I rated the company with a D as they committed to do work and never followed thru. We were not given a choice of colors as he had told us could be done. They would put up the generic colors and we could paint them after they were up. Never got a date to fix the leak in the roof. We need to have the roof repaired before the start of the rainy season. We would also like to have the gutter replaced before the rains. Just gave up waiting long past their promised dates with no replies as to why they are not coming to do the work.

Slow to respond and when asked when they would complete the job, never received a response, but discovered gutter guards were installed without notice.

It went very well. The price depends on the size of the roof and all the work that was done. All the work was done in the price-it wasn't just the roof. The price was fair. They were here early. I have referred them to two people that have already used them.
