Description of Work: Efficient service, the company gave me a good deal and I have purchased extra three years of annual follow up services with the company. They did soil treatment and fumigation, the treatment supposed to work for at least 15 years.

Description of Work: Individual from Proven Termite checked our house over briefly, and explained to us that considering the age and construction of our house, it didn't need a detailed inspection, and it wouldn't need termite treatment for a very long time. He explained to us that we didn't need an expensive but completely unnecessary procedure, and told us what to watch our for in the future as signs of termite problems.

Description of Work: Proven fumigated my home for drywood termites. Jim Weller, who did the original inspection and estimate, came out to my home more than once to answer all my questions and concerns before the actual fumigation. The work was done on time and my property was left neatly upon completion. I would definitely use this company again.

Description of Work: I was looking for someone to do a termite inspection and give me a second, independent opinion/report on any insect activity in my home and an extimate on what it would cost to do the work. After speaking to and emailing with their front office, at which time I explained just what I needed from them, a person arrived at my door at the appointed hour. Without preamble he questioned me closely about what I wanted, and asked to see the previous termite inspection report. Since this was supposed to be a *second, independent opinion and estimate*, I wanted him to start from scratch and give me a report just as the pervious pest control company had done. The fellow got a little huffy and said the report would be on record for anyone to see anyway and wondered why I wouldn't let him see it. I tried to explain that we were trying to find out if we had any problem and if so wanted to hire someone to solve it and so wanted another company to look at it so that we could choose which one to go with. He said that his company didn't do "spot treatment" only tenting, so unless the other company had suggested that, there was no use in him doing the inspection. Fed up, I thanked him for his time and said good-bye.

Description of Work: Service was actually provided July 17-19, 2006. This was a fumigation of one building comprised of six units, which necessitated the cooperation of six households. Jim Weller was our inspector and availed himself to answer any and all questions our residents might have. The tenting, while inconvenient, went well with minimal damage. | |Since our tenting, several other buildings have been tented, and one building's residents are currently under discussions for having Proven Termite Solutions fumigate their build as several units have been found to have serious dry wood termite damage.

+ -1 moreThe fumigation went great and they were by far the cheapest we found to do it. My issue was with what happened after the wrok was done. There was a problem with the credit card and unknown to us the bank had flagged it as a fraud transaction. Instead of calling us, Proven waited over a month then sent us a threatening email saying they were going to place a lien for non-payment! Obviously, we were a little upset by this lack of communication and it all got taken care of immediately and they apologized for the heavy handedness. Finally once the payment was all done, they then sent us the credit card number via email so for security purposes, we had to go and cancel the cards and get new ones issued which was quite the pain. Hopefully they won't do that again to anyone as we explained the risk of sending card numbers via email.
Description of Work: We had our whole house fumigated in a big tent for termite damage.

Description of Work: I used Proven Termite Solutions three years ago to treat for subterranean termites. Four days before the three year warranty was to expire I saw some flying termites. I called them and they came out and did an inspection. They stood behind their warranty and did a re-treatment at no charge. It was nice to work with a company that actually stood behind their warranty and did what they said they would do.

+ -1 moreThey came when they said they would both for the estimate and the work. They explained what we would need to do, how long we needed to be out of our home and just what was happening. They applied and removed the tent with as little as possible impact on our landscaping. They were pleasant to work with.
Description of Work: They explained what we needed to do to prepare for their work. They tented our house and pumped in Vikane. When it was time to remove the tenting they did so. They arranged with PG&E to have the gas turned off and we handled the arrangements to get it turned back on.

+ -1 moreThere was a miscommunication with the time for them to come to our home. I would just say to anyone having this done to pinpoint the time. There were some things broke but they repaired it all. I think they did an ok job. I would suggest this procedure be done in the summer because of the tear gas. The workers were polite and they could answer all my questions.

+ -1 moreThe salesman and the workers were professional and no nonsense. I was very comfortable with the working relationship. Their on-line paperwork and web site information is excellent although if I hadn't read that stuff first I might have needed more information from the salesperson. The delivery of services was even better than proposed. The last thing to share is that the workers that set up the tent structure work for PTS. They don't subcontract that work which I believe gave me a better price than others I had estimates for.
Description of Work: I had evidence of termites when I took the stucco off my exterior walls. PTS tented my house for termites.

They provided a complete cost estimate and carefully prepared contract with descriptions of their guarantees, together with a brochure describing the necessary preparations by us. They performed an inspection under the house for subterranean termites at no additional cost and were honest in reporting no infestation. They arrived when promised to tent the house and completed the fumigation without damage anywhere inside or outside our two-story house. They left the property will ventilated and secured while we were away.
Description of Work: Inspected for dry wood and subterranean termites. Found evidence only of dry wood termites. Tented and fumigated two-story house.

+ -1 moreThey came around first and did an inspection. I had inspections from two other company's and their quotes and explanations were so different that I just had to get a third one. I liked the representative they sent out very much. He explained a lot of things to me. The quote they gave me was comparable to another company but I disqualified one company because they didn't find some of the areas that had been damaged which I was concerned about. They were on time and did exactly what they said they would do. I was very pleased with the outcome. They gave me a three year guarantee and gave me a discount for scheduling the work when it was a good time for them.
Description of Work: They fumigated and put a tent over my 2600 square foot single story home. I had to be out of the house for two and half days and two nights.

I thought their price was good, but didn't want to be bothered with gassing the whole house right now and figured while the house was opened up, a local treatment would be sufficient. I called back to request a local estimate (which they advised against when they come out for the estimate), but I never received a return call.

They explained exactly how much time we would have to be out of our homes and what to do with our food and other items. They did take care of the job and made sure everything was ok inside before they started. After the job was done they came back out to see if everything went well and to make sure it was ok to re enter follow up. The job they did was very good.
