 + -1 moreplanet orange was totally responsive to my concern with our ant problem. they sent someone out the next day who was professional and respectful. when the problem was not totally resolved, they came again and did not charge me. the only issue i would warn people about is that they will only provide service if you sign a yearly contract and let them come every month for a year to provide the same service. when i noticed they had not given me the angies list discount, planet orange gave me a deduction on my next bill with apologies. all in all, a professional experience.
Description of Work: they sprayed inside and outside to rid my house of ants without using something poisonous to my dogs or my family.

 + -1 moreUsed the environmentally friendly Planet Orange service to treat our ant problem. They sprayed around the trouble spots quickly and some spraying outside. Unfortunately, did not do much to help, as many ants came back and some in new areas that weren't sprayed. They have a 30-day guarantee where they will come back and re-treat if the initial service didn't help, so we had them come back about a week later. The 2nd treatment seemed to have done the trick, no ants since.

 + -1 moreI purchased a deal through Angie's List for this service, and was contacted by Planet Orange the following business day. The treatment was originally scheduled for 1/24, but due to a scheduling error no one arrived. I called them on 1/28 and explained the situation, and the helpful woman who answered the phone apologized for the mistake and scheduled me for 1/29 between 10am and noon. The technician called me around 10:30 or so to let me know that he was running behind and would arrive closer to 1pm, and arrived between 12:30 and 12:45. He was very courteous and professional, and the whole treatment was complete in less than 30 minutes (it is a pretty small house). He gave me a copy of the receipt and that was it! Not too bad overall, and while they did make a mistake in the original appointment, I feel that they handled the situation the best way they could -- I already had a discount, so they just scheduled me for the next earliest appointment.

 + -1 moreSaw droppings in two bathrooms. Had them treat both the house and the cabin outside. Inspector reported two types of termites. Had the attic treated with a 25 year product. Three guys came the next day to do the work. The completed it in 4 hours. They drilled holes outside around the foundation. The house still smells a little of orange, but that is fine. They offered a 15% reduction if I had it done within a day or two. I did.

 + -1 moreThey quoted a little over $3000 for the job. When they came out, they were really good about the estimate. They marked the area where there were concerns. They actually sent a male employee really small because my attic is a little bit hot. They were very accommodating that way. It took a while for the estimate to come, probably 10 days. I thought the estimate was a little high; so I ended up going with someone who gave me an estimate for $1100. Everything was fine, except the estimate part. Everything was great and they were really nice as well as special. I got a callback.

 + -1 morePaid for "general pest control"; this turned out to be walking around with a stick to kill spider webs and looking for termites; wouldn't do anything about rodents (which was the actual problem we had). We later found a rat so called Omega Pest Control and they came out the next day, laid traps and are coming back every other week to seal one or two entry points and check the traps

 + -1 moreI called Planet Orange for a termite inspection. They offer the service free of charge and we scheduled a time for them to come out to the house. The inspector (David) called me about an hour before the time and asked if it was OK for him to come early. We set a time when I could meet him at the house and he was there before I arrived. He took the time to explain the his external assessment of m property and then suited up to head into the crawl space. After an hour or so he came back up and gave us a clean inspection. He talked about what he was looking for and gave us some other useful feedback about other things he saw while under the house. He didn't try to steer us toward any service we didn't need, but recommended that we have another inspection annually just to keep on top of it. He patiently answered all of our questions about termite inspections and other services. I think we are going to use Planet Orange for additional work and David is to thank for it. Overall, great experience.

I felt like he was pushing to hard to sell me extra warranties and other treatment options and the final quote was 50% higher than the one I went with. The other termite company I went with was much more straightforward and pleasant to work with.

Description of Work: Dry wood termites were eradicated around a south facing, pass-through window in a kitchen. They used environmentally safe orange oil injections and did not require us to remove all food. The process involved drilling numerous (about a hundred) small holes that required touch up painting afterwards.

 + -1 moreThey are my termite people but they are also doing some pest control. The termite eradication and prevention was fine but the pest control for rats was not as good. They don’t tent. They don't like to tent the house to treat the termites. The gas they use is non-toxic compared to the stuff the standard termite eradication companies use.

 + -1 moreTechnician was on time and did a thorough investigation of property which took about a hour. He was friendly and polite and explained his findings (or lack thereof) thoroughly. He left information about a continued warranty with its costs. The completed inspection report followed by email. I am totally happy with this service and its two-year free warranty and inspections. I called each anniversary year for reinspect as the company leaves a sticker on my inside garage wall of when they were here. Very convenient reminder to get in touch with them.
Description of Work: Property was treated for subs and drywood termites two years ago. My first reinspect last year discovered a few more drywood termites to be treated. That was done by the technician after the reinspect and discovery. The second reinspect this year produced no more infestation. A final termite report was completed and I am now considering a continuing warranty.

 + -1 moreEverything went well from the initial free estimate and phone contact to the final service. The e-mail follow-ups were very useful. When both workers were going to be late they called to tell us. I appreciated that little consideration. They also apologized for being late even though it was not their fault. We were commended on preparing the areas to be served to make their job easier. David and Rudy were very professional and patient. They were thorough and rechecked their work to make sure everything was done. While this took a longer time than planned, I felt it was worth the extra time.
Description of Work: The employee, David, who did the estimate called to tell us he was stuck in traffic and would be about 10 minutes late. When he got here he was very professional and friendly and answered all of our questions and those of our neighbor who had come over to see what Planet Orange was about. On the day of the treatment, Rudy called to tell us that he was on his way, but his GPS had given him the wrong directions. We arrived about 10 minutes late and explained exactly what he would be doing and then went to work. He was very efficient and did a fantastic job considering that his partner was tied up at another project. Ours took a lot longer because he was alone, but he worked diligently and stayed longer than he had planned because he found some areas that had been marked but not put on the work order. I felt very secure that the work was done properly by a very knowledgeable and competent employee. I would recommend them and use them again. The service included spraying for termites, subterranean termites, and dry rot. The whole house was done.
