Planet Orange

Planet orange was punctual and there was a slight odor(orange) which was fine. I would of liked for the service techs to have brought a runner to lay down on the carpet before they had brought in the hose to do the treatment. I moved the rugs in the house myself. I had asked the salesman to remind the technicians to do that, but that didn't happen. I will not know about the effectiveness of the service as I did not go under the house before or after the service was performed. I did receive an invoice by email.

the person that I spoke with was very nice and professional. They apologized for not being available in our area yet and they expect to be available here in the next year.

Inspector was very professional and experienced, went in attic, under house, etc., and showed me all the spots that needed treatment, which corresponded with what I already knew. He found one spot I didn't know about. We negotiated what I felt was a fair price, though I'm sure they still made a profit! The treatment the following week was prompt and swift and they left everything clean and neat, needing only touch-up repair. The insect treatment was equally efficient, the technician also cleaned up spider webs all over the outside of my house and the special includes a 1-month re-treatment. I was very happy with all services. One tiny caveat - the termite inspector told us the toilet was leaking under the house and by coincidence I had to have a plumber out for a clogged sink later that week, so he went under the house and checked and said it was NOT leaking. In the time between scheduling the plumber and his visit, we called the termite inspector back to ask if the toilet leak was current or could it have been damage from a previous leak? (We had to reseat the toilet a couple years ago due to a leak.) The inspector responded quickly and said the pipe was wet, which was contradicted by the plumber. But Planet Orange does kitchen and bath work, so I must confess to a slight uneasy feeling that they were setting us up for more work. I hope not - and I would use Planet Orange again, but I'd be a bit careful about them expanding their scope of work in this way.

They were excellent! They were on time, efficient, and they got it done. They are professional and seem polite about my properties.

Our experience has been satisfactory. We pay 4000 dollars for a big job and then 100 dollars a month for maintenance.

Things seemed to go okay (thus the "C" grades above). However, they have been back several times for the termite problems in our second story deck, and have not yet solved that problem. I even renewed my warranty for the next year ($300) to make sure that this gets taken care of, since I didn't trust that they have done that yet at the end of my original warranty. Good thing, since this last time, after repeat treatments, all three spots that they've treated (two of them multiple times) have new evidence of more termite damage. This last time, when I called them to come out and fix these problems again, I'm scheduled more than two weeks after I called for them to come out and fix what they haven't fixed yet. This has me just a little nervous, since at least one of the spots that they're treating is close to the structural part of my house, so could easily spread there. I'm not going to give them many more chances to fix this, since even though termite damage is slow, it is steady, and I need this damage to be stopped. They also did some termite repair, essentially 3 different jobs. Two of these are fine, but one spot is really not up to par. It was the repair of a beam and a rafter. The repairs should be able to be relatively invisible, but this recent repair already attracts the eye visually. I was really hoping for better, especially since I was told that they could do this well, but this repair is somewhere around mediocre (if that).

It was fabulous. They use orange oil instead of pumping your house with chemical. They came on time, thoroughly explained things and went through the whole thing, They gave us a discount. They guarantee it for so many years and I think it was 4 years because it was kind of pricey. After 4 years, you could get some ups and maybe several hundred dollars a year. If they ever come back, they'll do it for free so it's a great deal. I think the insurance is $400 a year. The termites never came back and it's been a couple of years, the service did work. They seemed really good and the guy was super nice. He explained in layman's term what he was going to do because you can literally drink the stuff and it wouldn't hurt you. It was a great experience.

.Arrived on a timely basis. They were very courteous and left the work area completely clean. We were assured that any reappearance of the Termites would be covered under the warranty.

We really wanted to go with an organic, environmentally friendly pest control company. However we made several phone calls and there was neVer an answer, or even an opportunity to leave a message to receive a call back.

The first visit was fine, no problems and a knowledgable person. They missed the spray appointment, when I called the receptionist said that it was her fault (she hadn't put it on their schedule) and waived the fee for the first treatment. The rescheduled appointment went fine.

The service was great, they performed the treatment and there were no complaints.

I submitted a quote request through Angie's List and Planet Orange contacted me the next day to schedule an appointment with one of their inspectors. 30 minutes prior to appointment time, the inspector (Chris Pond) gave me a courteous call notifying me he would be arriving earlier than scheduled. After the inspection, he summarized the work needed and the available options. He suggested to use Altriset on the perimeters of my home. Since my home shares common walls with my neighbors, only the front and back could be done. He also suggested an additional treatment will be done within the crawlspace. He then provided me a call to contact his account manager to schedule the treatment date if I so choose to use them. Very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Treatment day came and Richard (the worker) arrived 10 minutes earlier than scheduled. We did our meet and greet and after signing a few papers acknowledging the safety concerns and the needed performed work, he started the treatment. After crawling into my crawlspace to prepare for the interior treatment, he came out and informed me that it could not be done because I had concrete laid out in my crawlspace to prevent rodent burrowing. I asked him since the second treatment won't be performed, will there be a price adjustment. He quickly called the company and the price was adjusted. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

All went well on time and very responsive

It took them a while to come out here but they did fine. They're very receptive. If you have a problem, they will come back and their servicemen were very nice. They seemed very competent.

Planet Orange came out and sprayed for pests and it didn't really do anything for my home, as far as I was concerned, because the problem seemed to get worse. Soon as Orange went away, there they were again. It was totally not effective in my home. They wanted me to go with their monthly program. I decided not to. They came very late and had no explanation for it, except the traffic. They did not call us to tell us they were late or anything. They came in and did a ten minute spray and they were gone. It stunk up my house for two days and the spiders came right back. So, it didn't do anything to alleviate the problem that we hired him for. I give him a "C" for quality because I don't think there was any quality.

Shawn and Chris arrived a few minutes before the appointment which was great. Shawn told us exactly where they'll do the treatment. They were both pleasant, dilligent, patient and did an excellent job. They finished the job in a reasonable amount of time and didn't leave any mess at all. Kenan B., a supervisor, came by to see how they're doing. He spent some time explaining to us about Planet Orange and product they use, termite infestations, kinds of termites, etc. Kenan seemed very knowledgeable and personable too. All three were great guys and will definitely use Planet Orange again.

Extremely pleasant crew, on time, careful with our property and considerate of schedules, noise, etc. at job site. Ask for John and Miguel and their colleagues. Project manager Joe Hui was also very thorough and businesslike, explaining the aspects of the job as it went along. Even with the additional scope, the crew finished on original schedule. We had a terrible experience with a different vendor in 2009, and will keep Planet Orange on our Rolodex should we be asked for a recommendation by a neighbor or need any follow-up work.

Really love services and would recommend them to others

I found the technician to be very condescending towards me. I asked the company to come out and check for termites. He was punctual and did his job and most of the time, ignored my questions. I decided to go with another company.

Worked fine the rats have not been seen, but we also didnt catch anything.

We hired Planet Orange to take care of a rat infestation in our attic. They were very good to work with, felt they were a bit pricey however compared to one place we called who specialized in rat problems they were outrageous. The workers were very professional and very clean in their operation to tackle this problem. They cleaned out the attic, did some roof repairs, and put in new installation. We were pleased with the final result.

I was initially pleased with the Planet Orange inspection, but wanted to get another from Pacific Coast Termite, which was recommended to me by a friend, as well as Angie's List. Although they had very similar findings, Pacific Coast Termite found additional infestation in my detached garage of subterranean termites. This is an important finding because any subsequent work within the 2-year warranty following treatment must have been found in the initial inspection. Because Planet Orange did not find the subterranean termites, if they were subsequently found during an inspection during the warranty period, the treatment would not have been covered. In addition, the inspector from Pacific Coast Termite printed a detailed estimate during his visit and provided it to me. He took pictures of his findings which he uploaded to an iPad so that he was able to show me the damage to back up his estimate. I was very impressed with both his thoroughness and professionalism, and I hired them to do the subsequent work. They fit me in in the same week, and gave me a discount that saved me several hundred dollars due to both Angie's List and my friend's recommendation. So, my A-rating goes to Pacific Coast Termite.

I had an ant problem (all of them racing indoors, kitchen and bathrooms) due to rainy weather. I have a commitment to environmentally safe, friendly living and they worked with me to ensure the best products with best results. All of the folks I spoke with: reception to mgr/owner to technician were easy to work with and cared about the work they did for us. They applied an initial treatment and returned to check on it and do a followup treatment. Good experience

I like the products that they use because they are all natural. They do not use chemical products. They were okay, but they were not as responsive as I would like them to be. Although, we like the technician that came to do the work, they did the work fine. We were not really told in advance how strong the smell would be. It is an orange smell, and it is no good for a little while until it was so strong. They put that stuff for Wood Beetles underneath our house in our crawl space. I was on the second level of my house, and it was so strong upstairs that I ended up with migraine which is kind of the same issue that happened with the dock company where when they did their check to see if the docks were all cleared out. They pushed out and all the dust came through inside the house so I ended up with a migraine. The smell was so strong and lasted for over a week that I went back and forth with the company letting them know that the smell was really strong. They said they were going to send me some packets to absorb the smell, but they did not send any. I had to call again and they finally sent two packets which absolutely did nothing. I called them again to try to tell them the severity of the situation, and we had on the bottom level of the house bedrooms where my kids sleep, and if the upstairs was so bad, the downstairs was twice as bad. They not understand how strong that smell was in the house, and I am not sure if that was something usual or unusual, or maybe it does not bother other people, but our family has a history of migraines. We were all getting nauseous and sick from it. I do not know if they took me serious enough. They finally brought over six bags like a week later, and the smell was still there. It took ten days or two weeks for the smell to dissipate. I was just thinking that it would have been nice to know ahead of time. They told us that it was a nice orange smell that we would smell. It was a nice orange smell for two minutes, otherwise, it got really strong, and we did not expect it to last that long.

went well. job done in 2 hours orange smell laster a couple of weeks. We'll see how effective it was in a follow-up inspection in one year.
