Planet Orange

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went fine but I am already noticing some bugs again. I saw a baby cockroach and I am still seeing silverfish. We live in a complex and they are kind of limited on what they can do outside because of our HOA rules. The price was fine. I know there is only so much they can do if the bugs come back. I don't know if I would use them again because I want the bugs to be gone.

Planet Orange inspected the full house for termites and provided a day-long extermination. We anticipate that they will return annually to provide additional inspections (per the warranty in the contract). There was no need to place a tent over the entire house. (I know that I scared about that at the beginning of our experience.) The treatment left the house smelling like oranges with no other noticeable signs. | |The total cost for all services was $3700. This included termite inspections and extermination in a bedroom, bathroom, closet space, chimney, attic and crawl space underneath the house. It also included preventative spraying on the outer walls of our home. Our initial contract includes at two year warranty that may be renewed after the second year for three 12-month periods. (There is an additional price for the additional warranty years.) | |Though Planet Orange came in with a higher estimate than two other companies, the Planet Orange estimate was the most thorough, focusing on the attic and crawl spaces beneath the house as well as the initial area where the swarmers appeared. I would strongly recommend that would-be customers look to both the quality of the estimate and the figure quoted. It seemed like the two companies that came to our home after Planet Orange knew that another person had been in the house and deliberately prepared much lower estimates, without performing as thorough an inspection. Also, in our experience, Planet Orange was willing to negotiate the original quoted price for Angie's List customers. We received a 10 percent discount on the initial quoted estimate. | |Our inspections were performed by Ryan C. and Criss C. at the Planet Orange team in the Bay Area. They were both professional and thorough. Nicole at Planet Orange also helped with the final negotiation of the contract. She was responsive and professional. | |All in all, we had a great experience with the Planet Orange team in San Jose. We strongly recommend their services.

All is going well. We still have 1 or 2 visits and if we were not under contract with another company we will definitely get in contract with Orange planet

It turned out nice. They came out the first time as I made the appointment and they came out again as a follow up. We chose them because their products are organic. I am glad that I went that way. It was very good that the tech came back out again. He was timely, he was very considerate, he was efficient and there were no problems. He was very friendly and he was knowledgeable about what he was doing. He is the same person that came out the next time; he called and informed what time he would be there, so it was just great. The first time he came out, he let me know that he would be coming out again and that would be a follow up visit. He encouraged me to call before the month was over so I did that and he just happened to be the person that came out. He was just really great and he had a great personality. I enjoyed working with him. However, the ants are taking time to respond and because it is organic, it takes a little bit longer for the product to work, so the ants just didn’t cooperate. I guess they just have a bad attitude but it is getting better! The big deal was great and I was glad with the price.

On 10/16/13 we had our house treated by Planet Orange for termite control. We were very happy with the work they did. Chris Pond did the initial inspection of our home. He was very thorough and professional. He answered all of our questions, and most important, he was very upfront and honest with us. It was a pleasure dealing with him. I spoke with Nichole Monterroso several times over the phone and she was always very helpful and had a "smile in her voice." She was very pleasant to deal with. Finally, the two technicians who performed the treatment on our home were Drew Hernandez and Chris C. They arrived on time and did a fantastic job. Most of all they were very polite and courteous. The work done included treatment of areas where termites were found and preventive treatment for the future. This included a 5 year contract, and the total cost was $ 2766. We felt the price was fair and we would definitely recommend Planet Orange to our friends. Tim Dyer

They said there was nothing wrong with it. I had no problem with them. They gave me a price of $2500 if I would use them in the future. He was honest. I really didn't need any termite work. Everything was fine.

tail taleI received a call from Planet Orange regarding a date that I would be available, it was decided that the 24th would work. I agreed to a 9:00am start time, around 8:30 am I was informed that the tech Rudy would be detained because of traffic since he was coming from a prior job in Morgan Hill. He said he could arrive around 10:30am that same day. I agreed, and pretty much to the time frame he arrived. I gave him the grand tour of what I wanted done. Check the perimeter of the house for ants, spiders and the yellow jacket nest by our front porch. Rudy made sure that there were no easy or tail tale entries for ants into our home, he discussed we should add a bottom door stop to our garage side door because we had problems with rats before. I mentioned about spiders hanging around our gutters with webs and such. With those 3 things in mind. he spent around 1 1/2 hours spraying and using a brush to clean the sides of our house and eaves. He had mentioned that the spray over time would smell like root beer, which it did. At the end he mentioned that we had a 30 day guarantee of his work and if we had any problems to call us. Today is the 19th and no yellow jacket nest, and no yellow jackets have returned, ants are no problem or spiders as well.

I would Highly recommend them. Instead of gases and having to leave they use orange oil, a natural product which is not harmful to people or pets. Using this method did not entail having to evacuate the building in comparison to other companies. They have great service and great customer service.

It worked out great. They now do rodent. They did the inspection and I did not have termites. He came out when he said he would. Even though I did not have termites they still wanted to do a treatment, I told them no. I do not think it cost me anything for the inspection. They did a good job doing the inspection. I would use them again.

The service turned out okay. There were no additional charges to the big deal I purchased. This was the first time we used them. The technicians were great. The stuff seems to work. The first tech we had was very adamant about their thirty-day guarantee and said that we had to call them back if we saw stuff or if we saw some more ants. So a couple of weeks later, I could see more colony activity. I tried calling back, but I had to call four or five times over the course of two weeks to get through to somebody like the guy I supposedly talk to would never call back. So, I was just guessing because it was through a deal and they did not want to have to honor their thirty day thing, but I just kept calling and eventually got through. They sent someone out to spray again. Eventually it worked out, but it just got kind of annoying.

They were professional and did what they needed to do and what was required.

I was having an ant problem and wanted an herbal solution. I was referred to Planet Orange by one of those online referral services. I ended up not using them because they were so disorganized, because I distrusted the product they use, and because they made a hard sell for a contract for repeat sprayings. They kept calling, seemingly unable to get the message that I had decided not to use them. Also, anyone who has a bad reaction to orange oil or any essential oils should be wary of having them spray in their house.

Pretty well, not sure how to evaluate. They did the garage because it couldn't be tented do to being too close to neighbors fence (without removing part of her fence). Different than typical termite control (tenting) in that they saw less damage. I have no expertise in evaluating the differences. However, were on time, neat and clean. I can call in a year for free re-evaluation

The guys who did the initial inspection were very thorough (going into the attic which other termite companies did not do). They were on-time, nice and seemed very knowledgeable. Luckily they did not find any active termites (I had problems in the past but repair work must have taken care of the problem). For piece of mind I decided to get a preventative spray because the last termite repair was so expensive. They were able to come out next day, the guys were on-time, very friendly, fast and clean. Of course they are a little more expensive than others but with pets I feel more comfortable going orange.

I bought the special that was offered at $79. I received an email stating someone would call me the following Monday. When no one called on Monday I called the company on Tuesday and left a voicemail for the individual I was waiting to hear from. I finally received a call on the following Monday, 7 days after it was expected. She stated we were playing phone tag but there was no evidence that I received or missed any calls and no voicemail was left for me. I was not happy with the response I received from the office staff. The only reason I gave a B rating was because of the response I received from the technician, Jonathan, that came to my house. Jonathan called the day before to confirm our appointment. He arrived on time; explained what he would be doing on the outside & inside of the house. He answered all my questions. Was very pleasant and professional. If I had received the same professional response from the office staff as I did from Jonathan I would have given an overall A rating. Also because of the poor initial response I hesitate to sign up for repeat business. Seems like there has to be a way to get better customer service.

We had a great experience with Planet Orange When it came time to treat the affected areas, the workmen knew exactly where to apply the treatments. They showed me all of the areas treated and explained what they saw while they were treating the house. It matched the information described to me by the inspector. When the construction crew arrived, they were prompt, and showed me all of the boards once they were removed, along with the replacement boards. After they were finished they cleaned up all debris and took away the deteriorated boards. Included in the cost is an inspection one year after the date of service. I was very satisfied with the work performed and will use them again in the future.

the service here is terrible. i waited on hold for over 5 minutes and got transferred 4 times. Then i got a hard sell on a monthly treatment when they don't even know my problem? This raises serious red flags. It sounds like a good product but i don't have time to deal with horrible service and anyone who does a hard sell like this seems very suspicious to me

I had seen four large bugs in my home over a two week period so I took advantage of an Angie's big deal for pest control control. I was familiar with Plant Orange from a prior treatment about two years ago. I like the product since it is natural and does not have an overpowering chemical smell. The spray smelled like peppermint. The technician arrived on time and was friendly and pleasant. He explained that he would treat the interior and exterior of my home including knocking down any cobwebs around the exterior of the home. I was disappointed that they did not treat the crawlspace under the home as I believe the bugs may have come from there. Evidently that is a part of a termite treatment not this treatment. One month later I have not seen the large bugs so successful so far. I would use and recommend Plant Orange again.

Called 2 separate times and left voicemails to book an appointment with no response. I went with a different termite service because of their lack of response.

I was referred by a Friend. They were prompt and efficient in arranging the initial appointment. They were Courteous and explained the processes well after inspection of properties. The contracts are for a few years treatment. I felt relieved to know there was only minor issues and not alot of major damage. I will use them again.

The company never returned any voice message I left. So, I had to keep calling to get them "live" - and wait on hold. The spray did not fix the problem; and to their credit, they came back at no charge and sprayed again. Missed 1 appt, so I lost an afternoon waiting for them.

It went well from the begining,using a coupon for special offer Planet Orange called and set up an appointment for the service. I cleared this with our tennent and returned the call to a very effeciant receptionist , I set up a monthly service and have been very pleased with the feed back from our tennent about the technician and the entire service.
