Planet Orange

I had a sudden and large infestation of ants. The first technician that came to the house explained that she was assigned to me because the original technician had called in sick that day, she seemed to working as she should, explaining as she went along. The number of ants decreased the following day, only to increase the following day, at which time I called the office and was told that it takes up to 7 days for the treatments to work effectively. After waiting the 7 days and dealing with an increasing number of ants, I called the company again and they sent another technician, Johnathan. When Johnathan was finished the number ants was already decreasing, he also left ant traps all over the house. I am pleased to say that up to this date I have had no issues w ants or any other pests.

They weren't able to provide the service. I ended up doing it myself.

My husband and I have some rental properties in Mountain View and Los Altos, CA. Several years ago one of our contractors that we use highly recommended Planet Orange to us. Since I do not like to use toxic chemicals I was very happy to find out about the products that they use. We have used Planet Orange now for several years in our rentals and have been very happy. We are even able to have them treat for termites while the renters are living there. I don't have to be concerned that the products they are using will make my renters sick. The people at Planet Orange bend over backwards to make sure the customer is taken care of, and they take the time to answer all my questions to make sure I am fully informed. Scott, the Director of Operations, really has taken the time on the phone to listen to my concerns and insure that all my expectations are met. He really makes you feel like you are a valued customer. There was one time that I had a concern that something might have been missed. All I had to do was call them and they sent out someone to check everything for me. I am very pleased with their service.

It was great; the guy was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional.

These people show up on time, do what they say they will do and have solved our ant problem. They use some kind of orange/Ben-Gay-smelling stuff that doesn't seem to bother the cat. The smell goes away in a day or so and for awhile we saw dead ants here and there within the areas where they sprayed. Over a couple of months, ants popped up here and there and Planet Orange promptly returned. I haven't seen an ant in months now.

It was okay, but I had problem scheduling it, but eventually basically they are supposed to call me and may be attempted to call me, but one phone call and then I had to try to reach them and it took me about I don't know may be four weeks if I get a hold of somebody they would say I would call and I will email the person and finally I took it upon on my own hands and I called them and was able to schedule the first of two of the spraying and now I goes back for the second one so that is pretty much it. I was not charged anymore than deal. They were supposed to come and do two sprays for me. The guy who came over was really nice, really knowledgeable and it worked that is I haven't raised any complaint actually. I like the guy who came out and spray the house, but then the customer service was lowest. They are supposed to call me but they never did. I would use them again if I can get my second spraying without any hassles yes, but otherwise probably not.

They came out and did the first service and made an initial inspection and went over what they were going to do. We signed up for the monthly service. The technician was excellent and we will continue to have them come out monthly. The customer service is excellent and we will definitely use them into the future.

The service went great and I am very satisfied with the work. I had them take care of an ant issue for me. The ants are completely gone now. One technician and completed the job in about an hour. He was professional and knowledgeable about the green products he was using. It was very easy to schedule the deal and they even came out the day after I purchased the deal.

there was some confusion with the Angie's list deal before with the account manager I called at planet orange. I was initially isappointed when the account manager would not take the angle's list big deal after the estimate had already been done. Surprisingly Scott the director of operations at planet orange called me right after the review and helped me out. Both Scott and Richard who did inspection for me are really nice and I'm happy that we got things sorted out and are working together again.

I would recommend their service to others.

I think I was expecting something a little bit different, I had a big problem with ants in my garden and I guess I was expecting them to take a look at that more and also the ants inside the house. I had the impression that they were going to spray inside the house. But what happened was, when the guy was finished he just took off and I did not even had the chance to ask him if he was going to do it inside. It was great for the price but I don?t think I will call them again. The $149 deal was worth but it was not any kind of deal that?s for sure. In concept they are a good company and maybe it was just the person that had come. I don?t have enough experience to comment much and I don?t want to be overly critical with one experience. I don't remember them being late. I will use their deal anymore. I actually used them in another house that I own and I really liked them. I would probably not use them in this location.

On time, Spent a lot of time under and around the house. Treatment looks good. Time will tell. We were satisfied with professionalism and feel confident and satisfied.

Super easy process all around.

They came and gave us an estimate. When the guy came back, it was $100 more for the work and we were desperate so we said yes even though I don't think that should have happened. They are nice people but I think they need to get going on the same direction. The work is still not finished and they still haven't called back. They did all the work but plugging up some holes and that's what were waiting on.

Nothing like getting ready for the holidays when - BAM. You have a pest problem. I have used Planet Prange in the past for Termites, so I thought I would give them a call for my pests and see what they can do. They came out within two days and did the inital treatment. All natural they say - which is good. It had a smell of peppermint which was just great for the season. They came out again this past week to take care of a few of the more resilient pests and as a result, it seems as though the pests have decided to take p residence at some other location rather than my kitchen counter and front door entrance. Jonathan was knowledgeable, on time, and worked with me to understand my initial reasons for calling in the first place.

It was okay. First appointment was a no-show. Second appointment was done in about 10 minutes with spray treatment.

They were good. The technicians were fine. The scheduling was fine.

There were several areas around the house with dry wood termites. Planet Orange treated these areas with Termidor injections. The team was professional and explained the termite situation well. They were thorough, courteous and efficient. I will call once a year for the re-inspection service which was included in the 3 year contract.

Rudy and Matt and team did a fine job of removing our old insulation, cleaning up and sanitizing our attic. What a difference to have new insulation in the now fresh-smelling area. They were very professional and polite and put in R-38 insulation. They sanitized it after vacuuming up all the old material. Some of the insulation is pink and some is brown from a different store, however. I think it would have looked better if it was all one color, but then not many people will be going up to see it! It looks and smells 100% better than it did before certainly and it was a tough job to do. I am very pleased with Planet Orange for arranging to fix the electrical cords in the attic, install 2 dedicated lines for the bedrooms after the removal of the old insulation and before putting in the new insulation. Raymond did an excellent job of assessing the dangerous wires up there and he and Fernando did a good job of bringing it up to code. It was nice of them to do this when the attic was clean and empty for optimal visibility. I am so glad we learned about the unsafe wires up there and that they are now brought up to code. I appreciate the good job that they did and also we were impressed with Allen, the account manager at Planet Orange who managed our account with efficiency and charm.

Adam Stollman and team sealed off the roof and porch areas which were portals of entry for rodents. He is a really good detective and went that extra mile to do a good job. After the job he walked around the house and explained everything that he did. Since his work on our house there have been no trace of mice or rats. We then had Planet Orange clean up the attic, and sanitize the area. Now it smells fresh and clean up there and no more rodents. Thanks Adam!

We had some huge trees cut down and released many insects. The products they used to get rid of the insect problem had a strong odor that made me sick for a day, but it did get rid of the bugs.

It worked out fine. The company was great, as well as their service. They came back a second time to resolve the ant issue. Scheduling was easy to do however they showed up late for the second visit.

I did not pay anything and it was really a wonderful thing because I was really panicked, as one would be. He did not come out, I just sent him a photograph with a little something for scale and he said it was a garden bug, not a bed bug. So that was the end of it. What stood out was that they were knowledgeable. My interaction with them was great. They gave me advice free and it was piece of mind. That was really professional of them to help. It was simple to them, but pretty distressing to me. They were very responsive.

Update: I spoke with Scott from Planet Orange and he explained that what I experienced should not have happened. While I still feel that their service didn't work for me, I was really impressed the way he handled the situation and was responsible to his customers. _____________________________ Overall I can not recommend this provider due to the ineffectiveness of their service and their business practices. The spray has a scent that is strong but not unpleasant. Their employees were always courteous and on time. The problem is that after 8 months I really didn't notice any difference. In fact I often saw more spiders after they left then before. My main disappointment was that after realizing this wasn't working for me I decided to cancel only to find out that the agreement I signed has a cancelation fee of $140. My bad for not noticing the cancellation fee on the agreement, but I think it's a pretty bad practice to require a cancellation fee on a service that provides no upfront costs. I can see that when I purchase a cell phone and get the equipment at a discount, that canceling early requires a fee to recoup the costs of the equipment. But having a cancellation fee for a service provider that simply comes out once every other month to spray your house makes no sense as there are no upfront expenses that the provider needs to cover. It's basically just a way to lock people into a bad service. If your service works, you shouldn't need to worry about charging your customers if they want to leave.

Every month, the scheduling was a problem, they would only call half a day in advance or some months they didn't call to schedule at all. When they came, they never knew what the problem waseven though every month it was the same issue, they would lay detectors but not know when to check them or how to check them. Each trip, would reduce the infestation, but 10 months later we're still infested. Regularly had feedback calls from nice lady, however none of her feedback ever seem to get to the actual people doing the work, and none of it fix the problems we kept reporting.
