There was the usual pitch to put our house on an annual inspection and I declined. I was told that the $179 would be refunded. The next day, I was advised that I had an aggressive case of cancer and frankly all thought of the $179 refund outstanding along with a lot of other things went out of my mind until this follow-up request. It would be nice to get the $179 back now. Going back to the inspection, the fellow seemed thorough, competent, etc. The only shortcoming was the he promised a written report and nothing came.

I'm not a professional, but I am a homeowner who reads the labels to compare products. I wanted a professional service to spray the exterior area's of my home that would be susceptible to ants and other multi-legged critters. I got that. I also got - a once around of the home with a poll duster to removal cob-webs from the eve's of the house. I also got a courtesy 30 day follow-up free of charge. What I also got was a product that has a horrible chemical "root-beer" smell - not a smell of orange Lysol - and believe me you don't want chemical root-beer in your kitchen for any period of time. We cleaned thoroughly and to have the ants keep coming... is a real pain, more-so after dropping $179. I bought a scented bottle of RAID and boy are we content with that! Upon the follow-up, I had them revisit the exterior of the home, I wasn't about to let them in the kitchen, and they should stick with what they know... because removing cob-webs is something they don't know how to do. I purchased the same poll duster, (the one that looks like a chimney brush).. and spent 10 minutes not only cleaning the eve's, but cleaned the area's around the window's sills and around the exterior doors. How they missed the front door - I don't know.

The service was fair. Not as thorough as a company we used last year.

already set up for The scheduling of service did not go well, e.g after we scheduled our service, a week or so later we got a call from their staff stating we needed to schedule service. We were confused and stated our service was already set up. They did not have a record so we rescheduled. Then about a week later we get another call stating we had to schedule service. This happened one more time, 3 times total. Needless to say we were second guessing ourselves for using this service. However, the technician came out punctually and was very professional and our roach problem is under control. They came out for a follow up service and that also went well. We would use them again BUT they need to rectify their scheduling issues with their staff. They are not the only company that seems to be having admin type support issues. Good Luck!!

Called for free estimate on termite inspection but was told that free estimates are only valid when house is not in escrow. The agent also did not want to discuss ballpark pricing for any of the standard services. Recommend stating the free inspection exception explicitly on their Angieslist listing.

It was good. I had to call them back because it didn't work. We have baby spiders all around our house. We had them last year. It was great but the second time around, it didn't work. They were great. The service people that came out were very, very great. I would recommend them.

Horrible and never returned the voicemails I left multiple times at their Santa Clara as well as Concord locations. I don't think this company cares about new business. Somehow they got big business and doesn't seem to care about new customers. Absolutely won't do business.

Update: Scott was prompt in responding to my review, and although we didn't come to an agreement on responsiveness to my calls, I was very impressed by his desire to provide good customer service and his extensive knowledge about pest control. Even though he immediately told me I would get a full refund, he patiently answered several questions I had about termite control. If I do decide to use this kind this product I will definitely go through his company. Thanks Scott! Original review: I chose this company because I wanted to use a non-toxic product if I did need the service. Apparently there was an exclusion for termites I'd overlooked in the fine print. The tech who came wasn't qualified to do termite work and suggested I call to schedule for a termite inspector. I left 2 messages with the company, explaining the problem and asking if I could apply the coupon to a termite job if termites were found. No surprise, my calls were never returned. btw - the 'c' is for the tech. He was polite and apologized for the confusion. For $179.00 they could have at least returned my calls....

The communication was lacking. I thought they were to come out and spray in my attic for rodents. When they came they walked around my house and stuffed something in some holes so rodents could not enter. Then they put two traps with peanut butter in my attic. This took all of 30 minutes and they were gone. For this I was charged $400 and I have never heard from them since. I assumed they would come back and tell me if they found any rodents. Update: they called me and apparently something went wrong and the service was not finished. They did start over and their service has been very good the second time. I still think the cost is a little high but they have followed thru and made sure everything was done properly the second time.

the first guy that came out did an okay job but missed lots of spider webs. They called. I told the woman that the eves were not cleared of spider webs nor sprayed. Also he didn't say anything about spraying the attic, which I realized after he left. The company sent out a second guy who did a much better job but said they do not have equipment to clear eves on the one story part of my house, let alone the 2 story part. He also said it wasn't necessary to spray the attic without looking at it. I likely would use them for termite inspection and spraying, as that is a much more extensive service and had better reviews. I did not hear from the company again after they sent the second worker out..

They were great. Showed up on time, called the night before to confirm. Explained everything they were doing and answered all of my questions. Decided to sign-up for monthly service to curb insect problem.

They came; they found the issues; they gave a quote; they did the treatment on time and efficiently. They explained what the issues were. They explained what they did during the inspection to check for potential damages. They were upfront about different treatment types. In general, very easy to work with.

Seems fine. Not sure the high conc peppermint oil lasts. I think you can just buy it yourself and do it more frequently. But if you don't DYI they are a good alternative.

On January 5th, Planet Orange was contacted via Angie's List and within a couple of hours, I was speaking with Araceli Cabrera to schedule an inspection appointment. On January 8th, Chris Pond conducted a full house inspection (both interior and exterior). He found two locations of drywood termite infestation. His recommendation was to spot treat versus tenting the whole house. Tenting would be over-kill since the two locations were on the same wall about 8 feet apart. Another company had told me that tenting was my only solution. Chris explained that the 3 year warranty would cover the entire house since he inspected the entire property and that I should contact Planet Orange for an annual re-inspection. He also explained the treatment process and the various chemicals used to treat the termites. He quoted $1316 for the treatment. On January 12th, I received the Inspection Report and Work Authorization contract via email. The sales representative, Allen Hauptman called to verify that I had received the documents and to answer any questions I had. I was not ready to schedule the work yet and I did not feel pressured to. Later in the month, Allen called back and offered a discount if I would be willing to have the work completed by the end of the month. On January 28th, a team of 2 arrived on time. They called ahead to coordinate the time since they were running a little early. They explained what they were doing step by step: drill holes, inject chemicals, patch up the holes. They prepared the area, completed the treatments and left the area cleaner than it was. In all, the process took just under 2 hours. On February 5th, I received a Completion Report noting the 3 year warranty and annual inspections. I would definitely recommend Planet Orange. Dealing with Planet Orange was a pleasure. They are very responsive, efficient, and knowledgeable. I felt valued as a customer. Unlike other companies that demand payment immediately upon job completion. I was able to contact the office to make my payment arrangements.

I first contacted Planet Orange on 3/24 after buying special offer on Angie's List. I was gave them my full address details and they booked me in 4/10 (first available was 4/8). On 4/10 I got a call asking for direction to my address. Unfortunately they were in another city (Palo Alto) a couple of hours away. Same house number, same street. Wrong city. The inspector was very apologetic. Said he was the manager. Tried to get the inspector to come over as he was in the area but they couldn't. I was told that I would be called to rearrange. I didnt receive any contact. I chased on 4/20 and again on 4/22. Was told next available May 8th. May 6th I get a call telling me that they can do May 7th but inspector is attending funeral on May 8th. I was away traveling for business so unable to respond. Again I contacted and was told next available 5/22. I told them I wanted a refund. They told me it was a free inspection. I told them that I had an offer for treatment that I wanted refunded as clearly they'd messed that bit up. They responded:- 'That refund will have to go through Angie's list.' Not a single apology from the person who books. My details were clearly correct and full. Responses took several days and were only part complete in my opinion. And I had to chase after they messed up.

The service turned out just fine. It was exactly what I expected. They came and did the house inside and outside and it seemed to do the trick. I would recommend them. He was here right when he said he would be.

I actually had them come back a second time. After two visits the problem was solved so I am happy with that. Everything was fine. They showed up on time. They were not invasive when they went inside to do the pest control. They had to go into this little boy's closet were his toys were everywhere. He took the time to ask this little kid if it was okay, if he could go into his closet. He handled it in a really nice way. The little kid went in there and removed some of his toys and then he got to work. So I just liked the way he treated the little kid.

There was one person who came out to do the estimate and two people came out to do the work. They were very prompt. They were very knowledgeable and they had a range of products both environmentally friendly as well as a product that really gets the job done. They had a free inspection. They came back and treated the areas but I thought the cost wasn’t outrageous. They also have a warranty.

Work went smoothly. They finished sooner than they said they would.

Called the company and they said my deal doesn't apply to termites (which is what I needed), but does apply to spiders and other little creatures and critters.

It was ok. But we had ask them to come again since we had some spiders running over our roof and some ants. They were fairly good. They use some organic material. The first time when they came, the work was not very satisfactory. But when they came back the second time, they did a good job. I do not see any pests around.

Contacted the company and told them I had found them through Angie's List. They had no problems honoring my pre-purchased discount, and made it very easy to apply. The company is very good at communicating status... sent me regular emails about all scheduled appointments and soft copies of final reports. Eventual payment by credit card was painless. The inspector (David R.) showed up promptly and inspected the house, attic, basement, and garage for a few hours. Found evidence of dormant termite activity and confirmed the area which prompted my initial call. Also found other areas at risk and reported on them. He was very friendly and clear with all service options, explaining the next steps. The treatment itself happened a few days later. Raymond and Ruben did the service quickly and professionally. There was no odor, damage to the treatment area, and no disruption to our use of the house. Very impressive. The work I got has a multi-year warranty, and I already used it to have them check out an additional area after the initial service. Highly recommended.

It was a big deal purchase and it turned out pretty well. We ended up alternatively not renewing again but at least for the package that we purchased it was fine. They definitely went around the house and did a visual inspection, swept as well as removed stuff underneath the eaves. They alternatively sprayed before they left. So it was kind of a combination of all those things. We did notice a decrease in ants and spiders afterwards but the only reason we did not continue using them was we just didn't feel like their product lasted long enough. Their botanical or their products that went kind of on the organic side. It just didn't seem like it was strong enough to last for months and they really aren't. We've been happy with another company whose products just seem to last a little bit longer. They actually were very responsive, they contacted us almost immediately and they were on time. They were professional. We would use them again and in fact we almost did but the only hiccup is that we just found another service that seems to last a little bit longer for our purposes.
