I thought the price was reasonable. They were very thorough. They explained everything to me. They were very prompt.

They did a good job. It was a very good experience. The roof did not leak. They did it quickly. Their price was excellent.

I got three quotes for replacing my old roof, including two from Livermore companies, and Los Gatos Roofing was the middle cost one. I selected Los Gatos because Cameron knew what he was doing and was very straight forward, professional. No games. The roofers came on time, and completed the roof and gutter replacement in two days. Two days! The roofers did an excellent job of removing the old roof, and cleaning up. The new roof passed city inspection. Cameron came by early each day, and after completing the roof to check on the work. I waited until after a big storm to write this review. The roof not only looked good, for a reflective roof; but no leaks. New roofs are very expensive, and because of the California energy regulation, an extra $1,500 was added for the reflective material. Cameron managed a large motivated crew. Let's just say, it was an anxious time; and I'm glad I did not go with the low bid. Cameron's and his crew's professionalism was much appreciated. Good job everyone!

There were no unexpected issues. They did a really good job. They got it done within two or three days. It was expensive. Because of my area, they charged more. We just got the rainy season starting and no problem so far. They were really easy to talk to. We definitely would use them again for something fast, like we were trying to move and we needed to get the roof on in that week but if I had more time, I probably would shop around a little bit more for price. I had gotten a few quotes before from people and I probably could have gotten it down like a few thousand if we weren't moving and trying to do it fast. Their quality was good. They're big guys. I might go with a smaller company because they do a lot of stuff. They're good. I could use them again.

Very professional. Tear out crew and installation crews were wonderful. Cleaned up every day, and even used a magnet to pick up names and screws so kids/ pets wouldn't get hurt. Finished on time as promised.

Tad was great --- communicates plans and issues well and promptly. They did a great job working with the contractor who was replacing the skylights as part of the same project, including figuring out how to fix a joist that had rot without increasing the cost much. They cleaned up well too.

it was a quick job. we didn't remove our light bulbs in our recessed lights and all of them were broken at the completion of the job. those guys were fast but not exactly delicate on top of our roof. Robert the sales guy was great to work with, although I'm sure he has used the same stories to sell his product over and over. we heard about the little girl licking paint from him more than once. no lead in our paint. this company is definitely not the cheapest but their quality is top notch. I'm not going to worry about my roof for another 30 years.

The job went smoothly, no surprises. During the job we wanted rafter tails cut off and this was accommodated. We have had no problems with the roof since. I think the price, while expensive, was fair.

We have used them before when we first replaced the roof. They had a good price and did the job quickly.

Los Gatos Roofing spent a week replacing our 40-year-old cement tile roof with a new cement tile roof. They worked with our Solar contractors to install mounts for 24 solar panels, and came back after solar installation to replace/repair the couple dozen tiles that were broken in the process. They replaced many of our gutters and downspouts, and repaired roof overhang panels in a number a places. They installed 7/16" radiant barrier sheathing on the older 1st story part (2800 sq ft). We started looking in November, and worked with Jon Stirm at LGR who supplied several different color tiles to consider. We signed the contract in February, and then, once we had a contract with our solar company (Clean Solar) and solar design signed off by the city, Los Gatos Roofing came in (Porfirio and crew) and did the job in a single week. The workmanship is excellent, they coordinated well with our solar installer, and we recommend the company and would certainly hire them again though we anticipate this new roof will outlast us ;-)

They showed up when they said they would, finished ahead of schedule despite some unexpected issues, and cleaned-up each day before they left.

Of the roofing companies I contacted, Los Gatos' representative Jon Fletscher gave me the most information and best explanation of my options for the job. He was also very good with followup contacts and keeping me apprised with what was happening. He was also very helpful in helping me cover up the stuff in my garage since the roof would be open to the elements when they ripped it off (no ceiling in the garage other than the roof). Once I signed the contract, the work was scheduled and completed within 3 weeks. No payment was required until after final inspection by the city.

We were preparing to sell the house and the bright concrete patchwork looked terrible so I sent a picture to the owner. He sent a man out who properly painted the concrete so now it blended in. The owner took action where one of his partners(?) ignored me so there is the bad and the good.

The estimate meeting went really well, but I never received and estimate or a call saying the estimated would be delayed. I can't give a rating on Punctuality, because they were at my house for the original meeting, but never provided the estimate. I will not recommend them, and have already told 2 friends, who asked, avoid using them.

Provided estimate to replace roof. I decided to delay work on my roof because it is still in good condition which Los Gatos Roofing confirmed. LGR was very helpful and professional.

The inspector was professional and a pleasure to work with. However, their quote was 30% higher than other roofers we interviewed. We decided to use another roofer for the job.

We were very satisfied. They showed up on time, and were very engaging. They come in company marked vehicles, and company shirts. No question who the workers work for. Separate crews were used for tear off, and for repair and roofing, but all company employees, and they all were coordinated. They were very accommodating, answering question, etc, and cleaned up as they went. They didn't create a garbage pile as some roofers do I had two minor issues I was concerned with, as the work was completed, and they were addressed quickly and to my satisfaction with no hassle. I believe how a company handles issues, delineates the good from the best. The building inspector also gave them unsolicited praise for being an excellent contracting company.

After asking friends and neighbors for recommendations, we called several roofing companies to see if we could come to their offices look at samples and discuss options. Los Gatos Roofing was the only company that welcomed such a visit. We met with Randy Brown, who we learned later learned is one of the owners. After 1 1/2 hours filled with information, we scheduled an appointment for an estimate. Randy was our project manager, and was prompt, courteous, and offered a variety of suggestions. Our estimate arrived the following day by e-mail, with lists of where to find examples of roofs of the different types we were considering. At our request, Randy made color and style recommendations, steering us away from some high-priced options. We accepted all of his recommendations, and made the required down-payment, which included an Angie's List coupon! We had to wait a few weeks for the job to start, due to the crews being busy. Randy called a few days in advance to confirm that they were going to start on the appointed day, and reminded us of all of the preparations that would be necessary on our part. A list of things to do in advance, including notifying the neighbors, had been sent to us. The tear-off crew arrived early on a Monday morning, but waited until 8:00 AM before knocking on the door. The old roof was gone (including being hauled away) by 1:00 PM, and the roofing crew started promptly. The roof was done in the 2 1/2 days promised. Randy checked in on a daily basis, to ensure we were satisfied and that the job was going according to requirements. We had a few special situations, which were handled well. Unfortunately, the gutter forming machine broke, so the gutters could not be finished until a couple of days after the roof was done. The crews and crew leads were all very polite, kept us informed of what was happening, answered our questions, and ensured the job site was cleaned up at the end of every day. They even had a special magnet to pick up any nails that were left on the ground or in the landscaping around the house! Randy informed us of the building inspection date, came by to be with the inspector, and quickly corrected one small issue the inspector found. Not until the inspection was signed off were we presented with our bill. When the job was finished, we received a feedback questionnaire, and a follow-up thank you note from Los Gatos roofing. The finished roof and gutters look great, and the process was made as painless as possible by Randy and the crews. We would highly recommend Los Gatos Roofing to anyone.

The crew started at the agreed upon time and removed the old roof within a few hours; they repaired some rotten wood put on the new felts, and they managed to put on the new roof (composition shingles) within the same day. The only remaining work was installation of all the flashing, and by noon the next day everything was finished - granted, this applied to a small house. I was especially impressed seeing how well these guys were organized; for example, while all the surroundings were covered by tarps they put out, they even walked with a magnet around the house to find nails that came off when the old roof was replaced. I dealt with Dale Carstensen, and this was very pleasant; he explains the options without just recommending the most expensive solutions, and while I am sure one can find cheaper companies, their quote was 20% below that of another highly reputable roofing company. Overall a very positive experience with Los Gatos Roofing.

Randy Brown, representing Los Gatos Roofing, was courteous, professional and patient with our many questions. He provided samples of roof tiles and gutters to assist us in our choices. He was informative, accessible and organized. He let us know about any scheduling changes and visited each day during the job. He walked around our home at the end of the day and made sure there were no nails or construction debris left on the ground. His crew were polite, respectful, tidy and totally professional. I would recommend Los Gatos Roofing without hesitation as we found their service and expertise to be exceptional!

We interviewed 2 to 3 roofing companies but their bid was the highest they had costed us more. The reason why we chose them was because of their proposal and professionalism. They were right on time, every one of the contractors that worked for them wore their company shirts, the trucks all have the name of the company painted on it, their bid was detailed and the representative that came out was patient and answered all of my questions. They also provided professional folder with the products that I was interested in, with brochures and information. Something else that I was really impressed with was, I think his name was Dale Carstensen, so he went on the roof, he walked the roof and when he got down he had a professional drawing of our roof. It looked like it came out of the CAD board, very detailed and I was so impressed with the drawing, all to scale. Then they sent me this PDF file which I could print about 60 or 70 pages. There were two different roof types that I was interested in and they gave the names of the cities, the ZIP Code, the project and address, the product type and the color. So you could write to these addresses and look at the product and the colors. True wash pebble roofing actually it's called wild Cafe. and then I'd like to tell you about the staff that was here one of the roofers had a 10 years experience and the other had 17 years. And the types of roof that we got, these roofers have to go to school to get certified in how to install these particular shapes. So they make sure all the roofers have certifications.

I had gotten a number of estimates. Los Gatos Roofing was in the middle of the price range. They were willing to install shakes with an experienced crew (many roofers advocated an asphalt roof with a crew experienced in composition, not wood shake). I appreciated the salesman's views and advice. He is knowledgeable and has a good eye. He was also very responsive either by phone or email. Answered all of my questions and addressed every concern. Everything was very professional. The job went so smoothly. The crew was prompt, worked as an experienced team, neat. Took only two days for the entire job. The site was clean and no damage anywhere. It just poured today - how timely - no leaks, gutters work, very little discolored water from the treated shakes. I did have an issue with the installation of two sections of gutter. Old house with quirks. The second day of the job the salesman came promptly in the morning and the metal guys fixed it right away and to my satisfaction. I must have had over 8 quotes for one reason or another. And, some say I am particular - I like quality work. I am extremely satisfied with this whole experience - price, quality, timing. Highly recommend Los Gatos Roofing.

I would give Los Gatos Roofing an A- for the work they did for us. They were very responsive, fitting us in when we needed to get the work done. Larry was great to work with, getting us sample shingles and setting things up. There were a couple issues on coordination when one of their trucks broke down, but they were professional about things and went the distance to make things right. The final roof looks great. I had a small issue with one of the new vents making a noise when hot water was run in the pipe, probably because they did not leave any room for the pipe to expand. I had to take care of something else on that pipe, so installed an expansion coupling, which took care of the issue. They were willing to come back out to take a look at that, but it was not necessary after I put the coupling in. Overall a professional outfit that works hard to do a good job. The price was also reasonable.

A couple of roofing contractors were called for repairing water damage, dry rote. Only los gatos responded for the repair call. The others say all booked for the year. The estimate for repair , without new shingles, were given. I asked for new roofing instead of repair only. Another estimator came out. He seemed knowledgeable enough . So they end up with the business . Work suppose to take 3 days, but got done in took two. They were punctual and clean up afterwards ok. Overall they are quite professional. As for the cost, I cannot compare as they are the only one showed up. The project manager Jon Stirm showed up the first day, burt not the 2nd day when the city inspector(sunnyvale) show up. Since no 3rd day, I did not have a final inspection by Jon.
