Los Gatos Roofing

We used Los Gatos Roofing before on another house, and liked their professionalism and the quality of their work. They have multiple employees working at the same time so a roof can be installed quickly, which we liked given that we were approaching the start of rainy weather. We were in contact with the same estimator (Randy) we used years ago, and I liked it that the same employee was still with the company. They worked well with our schedule, and when we needed roof sheet metal, Randy suggested Wildcat Metals, which made all of our sheet metal flashings, and installed our gutters and downspouts. I don't know how much the roof cost because it was combined with the sheet metal cost. The only issue we had is that the sheet metal flashings needed to be painted and Los Gatos Roofing doesn't do painting. We hired our builder's painters to paint the flashings.

Efficient person answered the phone on Thurs, appointment made for next day. Repair person came Friday, on time, very polite, knowledgeable. Gave reasonable estimate, so we said go ahead. He made the fix described above, said office would make appointment for follow-up repair. When I called the office the next day, appointment was made for Monday. On Monday at the correct time, he came, did the work, took our check, and we are very satisfied with the job.

Very efficient piece of work. Estimate in 48 hours and project done within a week.

They were very punctual and personable. They were also very experienced. The work was completed under the estimated time. They were extremely clean and went above and beyond.

Company representative arrived ahead of schedule, but called first before arriving. The job was a small repair, but the company took the project seriously. Phone calls were promptly returned. The work was done on schedule, and in a reasonable amount of time. I was told that the company has separate repair and new installation divisions, which is nice, as I did not feel pressured to purchase a new roof.

They did the job quickly - about 2 days plus a couple of hours to finish up. The first day was tear down and removal of all the debris and prepping for the shingles. The second day was placing all the shingles. The temps those days were in the low 100's - so we know it wasn't easy being up on the roof! The roof looks great and the radiant barrier did help when we had a long heat wave! It took a couple of days for the unbearable heat to finally penetrate.

We got a call about a week before the job was to begin to let us know about the schedule for the job and to remind us about the necessary preparation such as removing cars from the garage, leaving the driveway accessible, etc. The tear-off crew showed up right on schedule on the first day and confirmed that all cars were removed from the garage before beginning their work. They were polite and professional at all times. They seemed to have good communication with their supervisors because they knew all about my special requests such as where I wanted extra eyebrow vents installed. Randy, the company salesman we dealt with, was on site at least once each day to see how things were going and explain progress to us. There were a couple of unexpected problems such as having to repair two broken rafters and having to re-nail all the plywood at the city inspector's request. These were easily handled by the crew. The result looks great and seems water-tight.

I left a message, got a call back about a week later, but they couldn't come out for an estimate until a month later (they are busy). They showed up on time with a crew of 3 and inspected the roof, looked under shingles and found some problems and gave a reasonable estimate. I hired them on the spot and they did the work in about 2 hours as they predicted. They worked fast, collected all the debris along the flashing that contributed to the leak and laid down new tarp under the shingles. They cleaned most of the stuff that ended up on the ground. They have a 1 yr guarantee for their work. I also got a follow up call to see how things went. Would hire them again.

They came earlier than expected and started the job soon there after. The job was completed in less then an hour.

Great experience with this company. They were punctual, efficient and professional. Excellent communication and my wife and I appreciated their cleanup on each of the three days it took to complete the job.

I noticed the company representative did take the job seriously. There were times when I did not get my calls returned promptly. However, I noticed while the rep was here and on the roof, he would not answer his cell while working. When he finished and stepped off, he answered any urgent calls. It was nice to know he treated our small job so seriously. Other company reps would talk nonstop on their cell phone. They would toss a word here or there at us while the other side was chattering away. It was very hard to get the complete attention of some of these reps. Los Gatos Roofing really shows they care about customer service. They spent the time to talk with me and educate me on the problems. They made plenty of suggestions along with future impact. Explanations if I did some repairs now or if I opted to hold off on some repairs. I definitely had a good experience with Los Gatos Roofing and would call them up again for any future roofing needs.

Victor was my primary contact for this job. Throughout the experience, he was very polite and straight-forward in his presentation and advice. Setting the appointment was at my convenience. He arrived early for the inspection, listened to what I had to say, and was able to diagnose the problem, before he climbed onto the roof. He confirmed his diagnosis within minutes and had me verify it. On the day of the scheduled repair, Victor arrived a few minutes early. He got right to work, and finished well within his estimated time. He thoroughly cleaned up the site, removing the tarp and the bricks used to secure it to the roof. The experience was very positive. I would have no problem recommending their services.

Good response for coming our for the estimate. After estimate was approved and faxed to them, no one called back for a week. After I called them, no one called again. Finally they called and said the job will be done on the same day of the call (I almost canceled it for no-contact!). After the repair I felt the not enough was done. Contacted the company and a manager came out and checked the work within a week. He felt I was right and scheduled a person to do it right. He met his commitment and the work was done the following week. It seems OK now. Time will tell. Overall I certainly would not rate them A! Given that they have come back to do the job right (and made up for the very poor start, I can only rate them average. Company did not give me the confidence of an A company.

Initially, I wanted to get an estimate for a new roof. Mark Osborn arrived at our resident at the specified time and he was very pleasant, professional, as well as very honest. After he examined the roof, he told me that my roof had at least another 5- 8 years of life left. He gave me advice on how to fix certain parts of the roof and if I had any questions or if I wanted any work to be performed, to give him a call. I was very impressed by his manner and I asked him if he could install a couple of whirlybirds that I had purchased. He told me that he would set it up for me. Victor Fernandez was the person who installed the whirlybirds. Again, this representative was very professional and pleasant. After speaking with him for 10 minutes, he performed his work and completed the installation in about an hour. He also nailed down a few loose shingles as he examined the roof. This company is top notch!

Randy Brown was a great representative to work with. Was very professional and responsive. We initially wanted to put composite on new section because it would have been easier to install solar panels over that material plus it would be covered by the panels. Randy checked with city planning and found that we could not do that because the rest of our roof was shake. Randy also coordinated with our solar contractor during the process to allow them to install solar supports after the old roof was torn off but before the new shingles went on. The job was done efficiently and the cleanup was good. The only negative would be that we were not informed of the job schedule. We would have to call Randy to ask when the workers were coming and often they would just show up in the morning without prior notice.

The sales rep., Bob, was very good at keeping in touch and arrived on time to provide the quote. The worker who came out a couple of weeks later was courteous and did a very good job. The site was spotless when I came home after work. The new shingles they installed after removing the solar panels blended in extremely well on my approx. 10 year old roof.

Everything was great with the job from start to finish. They completed it on time in a professional manner.

The Company did a composite roof on my home. The bid was good. I did get their name from a neighbor as the referral was good. The work done was outstanding. The company also replaced my gutters as well as the roof. The company drove a company truck. They did not wear any uniforms they just wore casual clothes.

I FOUND THEM TO BE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY BROUGHT OUT SAMPLES AND ASKED A LOT OF QUESTIONS. THEIR RATES WERE GOOD. THE JOB STARTED AND FINISHED WITH IN THE TIME THEY GAVE ME.

They did a real good job with the roof. I am happy with them for one because they cleaned up all the mess, and hauled the old stuff away. They're very professional and the workers were real nice. They were on time and they were fast at getting the job done.

This company was very good. They moved in dumpsters to make sure that everything was cleaned up. They were very fast and professional. They made sure that they cleaned up after themselves when they were done. They even cleaned up the nails. The roof looks great.

Los Gatos roofing did a good job for us. It was a good experience with this company. I believe that there is always room for improvement on pricing, however the work was great. I am very satisfied with the work that they did.

This company did a good job on our roof. They took control of the job & got it done quickly. I would use them again. They did good work, & cleaned up all the scrap & left-over material. The roof looks great & it's one less thing I have to worry about at the end of the day.
