They were very responsive. It was easy for them to come out and get to work. The quote was exactly on. They did no add any additional fees.

Los Gatos Roofing was highly recommended by my neighbors. Their quote is very competitive compared with other quotes I got. Best of all, the quality of their work and service are absolutely EXCELLENT. Dave Weber is always professtional and answered all our questions honestly. He and his team are always on time. They finished the work within 3 days as promised. They went out their way to ensure our satisfaction. For example, old roof was attached to some parts of the wall. When old shingles were removed, some paint was peeled off. Although the contract specifically said that touch-ups are not covered, they did the touch up for us anyway. They cleaned up the work site very nicely. We are very satisfied with their work! TWO THUMPS UP for Los Gatos Roofing!! We will definitely use them again and refer them to all our friends!

Terrific job and company! I called to setup the appointment for an estimate and within a couple days Randy was out to provided detailed information about the job and present a variety of good options for us. We are total first timers here; our first home and new roof needed so I really appreciated the professional guidance. Besides the new shingles needed, we also needed some special treatment for the flat front porch area since the slope is very low. All the areas we had experienced problems with in the past few years were spotted right off by Randy's inspection of the job which made me feel very confident they would provide good work. Later that day I received the email estimates with some good varieties of shingle choices to choose from and the prices for each choice. The estimate was great and they have such a great reputation so I immediately got us on the calendar. Within a couple of weeks they came out to do the work. Very happy with the workmanship and communication throughout. The crew worked super hard and Randy came out a few times to check in, which made us both feel really good. By noon the old shingles were off, some minor dry rot repair was performed and the gutter people were here putting up nice new gutters, one down spout in a new spot as we asked. By noon the next day the entire roof was done! The crew cleaned up the entire area very well and were off! The Roof looks terrific with the new vents and gutters too! Very happy with the work results, communication and professionalism! Highly recommended.

It went very well. Los Gatos Roofing did exactly what they said they would do, in the time frame specified and cleaned up after themselves very nicely. Our new roof looks wonderful!

Within two days of my original phone request for an estimate, Jon Stirm arrived and discussed the project in detail. He was courteous, professional, and described options in detail. A formal proposal was received the day after his visit. Further discussions were held and various jobs they had done with the product we had chosen were visited. The contract was signed and we were told work would commence in 3 weeks, weather permitting. We received a phone call on time that they would commence the work. The crew arrived on time and the whole job was completed in 2 days. All areas around the house were completely cleaned of debris. The work that was performed was outstanding and we love the new roof. Communication was always timely. We highly recommend Los Gatos Roofing!!

He came out when he said he would, was polite and professional, and gave me really good honest advice that saved me a ton of money.

One of the potentially scariest aspects was that Los Gatos had to coordinate with two other contractors -- one that had to remove a sunroom ahead of their work and a different one that had to install flashings for future solar panels in the middle of the reroofing. Los Gatos did a great job on their own work but also successfully coordinated with the two other contractors. Dale Carstensen, my estimator/main contact was knowledgeable and a good communicator. I'm very happy with the work that Los Gatos Roofing performed from start to finish.

Dave Weber was very responsive throughout the entire process from our initial call until the work was done. Dave prepared us in advance as to what to expect at every stage of the process. We were able to reschedule without any push back the day before our scheduled date because we were concerned about rain. It turned out that it didn't rain anyway but our job was done the next week. Everyone was very neat and cleanup was flawless. They even put a tarp under the engine of the tear off truck so that it wouldn't drip oil onto our driveway.

I met Dave Weber for an estimate. He was very polite and professional compared to a lot of the other roofers I called out. He was also the only one who actually arrived earlier than the scheduled appointment time! Needless to say, he left me with a good impression (of himself and therefore his company) but I eventually ended up picking a different contractor because of price. I think the price difference was due to a different ventilation solution that is less elegant than smart vent but also cheaper.

These guys are AWESOME. Dave Weber is the guy I worked with-he came out to my house, showed up on time, ran through some of the different options, and followed up quickly with a price quote. Favorite part - he gave me a list of hundreds of other jobs they had done in the area, along with what type of color/shingle was used on those job sites. This let me drive around and see how the actual product looked. The actual work took about 2.5 days, and they did a great job cleaning up - I only found maybe 10 nails on the ground after-wards. 6 months later I sold the house. Termite inspector found a small amount of rot on one of the eaves boards, so it had to be replaced. After the termite company replaced that board, I called Dave and he sent someone out within 3 days to repair the roof with new shingles. No charge - he covered it under warranty after saying they should have caught the rot in the first place. Outstanding service - I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

After obtaining quotes from 4 roofers, Los Gatos Roofing had the best price, sometimes by as much as $8000. Others have already highlighted the quality job that this company does, so I will focus on my unique interactions with this company and more specifically, my sales rep. Cameron explained roofing in lay terms without a condescending attitude that I've received from other "professionals". In addition to being a new home-owner, we were also expecting our first baby, and Cameron was flexible in changing our roofing dates no less than 3 times last minute. During the installation, our neighbor's son had a birthday party. Not wanting to disturb them with pounding nails, Cameron was very accommodating and was willing to stop work during the party. This is a HUGE deal, since his workers would still get paid as if they worked the full day! (Fortunately it didn't come to that!) After the roof was up, a leak developed in a gutter which was patched promptly the next day. No problems since!

Got estimates from a number of roofing companies. Decided to go with a Diamond Certified and of the 3 Diamond Certified in the area happy that I chose them. More importantly, they were able to order and get new skylights for me!(All the other roofing companies said I had to get them myself). Very Easy to work with. A plus was that I was able to communicate via email. Received quote and good follow-up with letter from them specifying stages of roofing-prepping etc. Job took 2 1/2 days to complete. They finished just in the nick of time; started to rain. After work was completed, minor cosmetic issues were taken care of immediately. Crew was great and roof looks better than ever!

Jon Stirm was the representative that we met. He came out to take measurements, match the color of the existing roof shingles(we have a homeowners association) and answer any questions that we had. The crew arrived promptly and quickly got to work. They were able to remove the old roofing material, make some repairs (dry rot) and finish re-roofing in two days for both our houses. They were working almost non-stop during the two days. I am very happy with the work and product installed. Their estimate was lower than a competing bid and they used a better product (ridge vents vs. eyebrow vents).

These guys are probably the most effective roofers in the south bay area: they show up on time, tell you what they're going to do, work quickly to get it done, clean up every day and do exceptionally high-quality work. They aren't the cheapest alternative, but they are possibly the best you can choose to get the job done quickly and correctly.

I researched the proposed ridge venting system, found that they were not installing it per manufacturer specs. His proposal produced a venting system that wasted 70% of the ridge venting, meaning I would be paying for the unneeded venting. I had to tell the estimator how to provide balanced venting for my attic. I investigated the radiant heat barrier proposal and found that they again don t install it according to the manufacturer instructions. Their installation of the heat barrier would reduce its effectiveness by > 50%. I would pay full price for the barrier and get less than half the benefit. I worked out the above issues with the estimator and signed a contract. The price was good. After signing the contract the estimator called to say he couldn t do the job for the quoted price. He wanted $1,500 more because he forgot to include 400 square feet of my roof in the quote. I lost all confidence in the integrity and competence of this company, I cancelled the contract.

Estimator (Dave) arrived on time. During inspection for estimate, he pointed out special needs dictated by our roof style and the vaulted (no attic) ceilings in some sections of our home. During the bidding process, vendor was very responsive to all questions. Vendor recommended solar companies to consider. A 4 man work crew removed the old roof and cleaned up all debris within the first 4 hours. A 5 man team installed the the sheathing and roofing felt by the end of that first day. The shingles went on in the next two days, beating the rain by about 8 hours. The gutters and down spouts and solar tunnels were also installed on the second day. My solar contractor installed the solar panel mounts on the third day. Finish work on the ridgevents, priming and painting the sheet metal, including the solar mounts, were completed on a Sunday. The installation of the skylight glass the next week completed the project.

Everything went exactly as described.

A good experience overall. Cameron (owner's son) came out and did the estimate. We discussed various options. His suggestions and advice were all very reasonable and there was no pressure for extras or more extravagant materials or construction. The tear-off crew finished in less than a day (they really worked hard and fast - it was the day before July 4th, so we actually had two removal crews). They skipped a day for July 4th, and came back Thursday to start putting on the gutters and new roof. All finished by Friday. The new roof and gutters look very nice.

They did a very good job. Very fair prices, and they show up on time.

Los Gatos Roofing is an excellent roofing company. There was a lot of team work between the workers, all the workers were very skilled and everyone was extremely friendly. The job was done very quickly yet it was completed with great skill.

They did a good job and overall I was very pleased. I thought the price was a little expensive, but I would hire them again. They will be the first ones, that I call when I need to have the roof completely redone and I would recommend them.

Great! Cameron was the first roofer I spoke to, and he was very professional and knowledgeable. He immediately found the source of problems for our old roof, which we fixed. Months passed, and I had the time to research various roofing companies. Los Gatos Roofing had the best overall reputation: they were recommended by our Roof Inspector, have A?s on Angie's List, are diamond certified, and are well certified with the manufacturer Certainteed (so they really know how to put on a roof right). When I contacted Cameron again, he answered all of my questions and asked lots of questions on his part to fully understand what I wanted and on what timescale. Our new roof was installed exactly during the week we requested and with amazing efficiency (a little less than a day!). Our new roof looks great, and we couldn't be happier. One of the things that I appreciate most in this whole process is that they gave us exactly what we wanted without our need to oversee the whole installation.

They did a fantastic job. Dale always returned phone calls and kept us advised. He was courteous, professional and very ethical. Most of all he laid out the plan (schedule), kept us informed and his crew worked very quickly to complete the task. The gutters were included in the price (though they used a sub, it was invisible to us). All the permits and inspections were included in the price. I am so happy I went with these guys and dealt directly with them. If I had gone through my General Contractor, I would have paid more (he would take a cut of the profit), the gutters would have been extra, and I would have had to deal with getting the permits, inspections, etc. These guys did it all which is why they are Diamond-Certified. They earned it!!

This company was very punctual, neat, and cleaned up really well. The workers were very courteous and they followed up excellently. I actually had them put in an electrical stack pipe not soon after they completed the roof and they did this really well. I will use this company again.
