Los Gatos Roofing is OUTSTANDING. This is exactly the type of company that deserves an "A" on Angie's List -- they do what they say, they know their stuff, and they are prompt, thorough, and professional. I HIGHLY recommend them on all fronts. I can't really comment on their pricing, as I did not get competitive bids -- the roof was leaking!

We asked for estimates from several companies and Jon Stirm at Los Gatos Roofing was by far the most responsive to our requests for further information. He was very well-informed about the products he offered and was honest in saying whether we needed extra items, such as insulation. We were trying to determine whether to pay more and get a new shake roof or install a composition shingle, and Jon helped us decide over a period of several weeks by providing information whenever we asked for it. Jon was always available by phone and email to answer questions and would respond promptly. He never pressured us to make a decision and when we finally did, it was an obvious choice to use him and Los Gatos Roofing. The quote they gave us was comparable to all the others we had received and we were impressed with the company's rating on Angie's List and its Diamond Certification. Jon set up an installation date and told us when to expect the removal crew. They arrived on time, were pleasant to interact with, worked efficiently and had the roof removed by afternoon. The installation went very smoothly, finishing in a little over a day with some final work on the 3rd day. The cleanup was impeccable both in the garage and around the house. They missed only 1 or 2 nails that had dropped into inaccessible areas. Jon kept me informed of things during the process and after the final inspection, dropped off the signed permit. He followed up promptly on a question I had. It started to rain in earnest 1 day after the roof was installed and we are very happy with it. The radiant barrier and venting are keeping the temperature the same as with our old shake roof and there are no signs of leaks. The style that Jon helped us choose worked out well and we are happy to have a nice-looking roof that matches the house.

They are wonderful. They were on time and on budget. They work incredibly hard and they did a first rate job. I will use them in future. I don't remember the price. If I remember correctly, they had a coupon through Angie's List which worked well.

Great service. Very friendly estimators and workmen, prompt response and follow up on scheduling the work. The estimates were explained very clearly so we know exactly what to expect. Prices seem competitive and we are happy to have found a reliable company to take care of our roof repairs!

When I called for an estimate Laurie and Dave were most accommodating. Victor and Adolfo were out within a day or two for an estimate. Several emails later after the original estimate, Dave and I worked out additional details and I accepted the work order by email. On the day of repair, Adolfo arrived on time and he spent the full day and a couple hours next day repairing my roof which had been incorrectly installed some years earlier by another contractor. My fear of wood rot had me calling Los Gatos Roofing to fix the problem. I was very pleased with the roofer and the business in general.

In general it was very good. They had a manger come and check on the job that the workers were doing pretty frequently. They were great with communication. We had a very pleasant experience with them and they were extremely fast. They did the whole roof in a day and a half. We were supposed to have someone come out to do some work before the roof was completed. My only negative feedback was that they were too fast and completed the roof before that work could be done.

We were happy with the entire experience from the estimate through the installation. We were out of town when they did the installation. We had no problems with their service. They were competitive on their price.

John was extremely responsive from the first phone call all the way through to completion. The tear off crew was incredibly quick which allowed the installers to get to work without delay. The bonus was when the city inspector claimed Los Gatos Roofing was one of his top 3 roofing contractors - reinsured us that we made the right choice.

They were prompt and they worked very well together with the handyman that I had hired. The roof had to be moved back and then the handyman work had to be done. Then the roof had to be put back. It all went very well. They had a very good bid and that is why we went with them.

So far everything has held up and there aren?t any problems.

Prior to the work being done and setting up the appointment for them to come out I was sent a list of other homes they had done so I could see their work and help me to choose the color shingles I wanted. The letter also included things I could expect during the two days the work was being done. It really did help with any more questions I might have had. Jon called the day before the work was to be started and asked if there was any last minute questions I might have for him. Jon, Juan (lead man) and his crew showed up right on time and started working. The first day they tore off the old roofs, Juan repaired the areas with termite damage on the garage and then the insulation was added. They cleaned up before they left for the night and said they would be back first thing in the morning. The second day they showed up right on time and began installing the vents and shingles. That morning the vent in my shower didn't seem to be venting properly so I asked Juan if he would check the shower vent in the attic. I have a VERY small crawl space for access to the attic and he said "no problem". Juan went into the attic and fixed the vent for me. Juan did a great job on the ternite repairs as well as supervise the crew when Jon had to leave to go check on other job sights. I was very impressed with how nice he was as well as his workmanship. After the job was complete they cleaned up everything and left my yard looking very nice. Jon came by the next day to check how well his crew cleaned up and if I was happy with the job or if I had any questions for him. He then called a few days later to let me know when the inspector would be by to check the roofs and sign off on the permit. I'm very happy with my new roof. My house looks great! I would highly recomed Los Gatos roofing to anyone. If you have a choice on Crews, ask for Jon and Juan.

We were extremely pleased with the service we received from Los Gatos Roofing. Dale was very professional and personable as were all the various crew members. Each day they left our yard clean and free of debris. Juan and his crew worked very hard and for long hours each day. We couldn't be happier with our new roof and will highly recommend Los Gatos Roofing to friends and neighbors.

They worked on the chimney sticks. They came back and fixed it but it was tilted. They made a mistake.

I had trouble getting anyone to call me back. I tried a number of times and finally got a hold of someone to get an estimate. Quality of work seems acceptable. On balance, I think I would have been better served with one of the other companies I talked to. The other bid was more expensive, but that company was more proactive, and now I see that the other company would have done more work for that higher cost. I was hoping for a better experience from LG Roofing given this company's high ratings; I will look elsewhere in the future.

After speaking with and obtaining quotes from four different roofing companies, I decided to employ Los Gatos Roofing and I could not be happier with my decision. I worked personally with Cameron who was both professional and very down to earth, which made me feel very comfortable. His quote was much easier to understand than others I received (which were comparable in price), and it included "green" options which were nice to see. The work was completed beautifully and the clean up was impeccable....you would have never known workers had been there, except of course for the gorgeous new roof. I highly recommend them!

They were very professional and quick. The work was very well done. They are expensive, but the quality of work was worth the money. I would use them again if required.

The job went perfectly. They showed up when they said they would. It did take a half of a day longer than it was supposed to, but we didn't mind that. They hauled everything away and left the area very neat. They were very efficient and worked well with subcontractors and it was the subcontractors that caused them to be a little behind schedule. Installation was good and their product knowledge was wonderful. The price seemed a little high, however I never took the time to compare them with competitor's. I have already recommended them to my picky mother.

In advance of the planned re-roofing of my 2400 sq ft home, I did a considerable amount of research on roofing products so that the estimates I received all were for exactly the same materials. Then I contacted Dale at Los Gatos Roofing to obtain a bid on replacing my 20+ year old shake roof. In addition, I had contacted two other bids from local companies. LG Roofing was by far the most professional of the three and they presented a very detailed explanation of the products I chose and what I was to expect during the construction process. They were very thorough in helping me prepare the house for the work to be done as they pointed out that re-roofing is indeed a major construction project. The roofing workers all arrived on time and went right to work. Removing a shake roof can be a real messy process but I was impressed that within a couple of hours of their starting to take off the old roof, one worker was already walking around the house and cleaning up dust and debris. They completed the job in just three days and they left the property as clean as they found it. They even added some additional vents under the eves in my garage for better air circulation. I was expecting to find my attic filled with pieces of old shake and tar paper as was the case the last time I re-roofed, however, it was relatively clean except for a light layer of saw dust which was expected. Dale stopped by every day during the project to make sure that things were on schedule and I knew what was happening. I had an opportunity to speak with the city inspector who came to give final clearance on the job. I told him that I was extremely pleased with the work performed. He remarked that I should be pleased because Los Gatos Roofing is one of the best and they do a lot of work in the area.

We got two serious bids for our roof and went with Larry from Los Gatos Roofing in large part because of Angie's List references. We were not disappointed. Larry's team showed up a day early from their anticipated start date, and finished in 2 1/2 days (we had an estimate of 3-4 days). They were prompt, as quiet as large men on a roof can be (they didn't play loud music or scream and yell), and worked hard for long days. Our roof had more rot than anticipated so we did pay more than the estimate, but Larry told us that might happen. I loved that we received a list of "how to prepare for our visit" things to do before they arrived. Los Gatos Roofing is not cheap - but I didn't want cheap for a project that should last 30 years. But I did expect professionalism and that's what we got. I would recommend Los Gatos Roofing - and Larry Diaz to all of my friends.

We did have some issues, but they were able to fix them. Overall, we were satisfied.

Jon and the crew that replaced my roof were extremely professional and paid great attention to detail. Crew leader Juan H. was a pleasure to deal with and I made sure to tell Jon how impressed I was with Juan's expertise. They cleaned up every day, not just the final day, and not a nail was found anywhere. They even cleaned inside my garage and it is cleaner now than it has been in years. I'm very pleased with the gutters and the roof. They coordinated with my solar company without any prompting on my part whatsoever. I highly recommend this company. The price and the value are fantastic.

This was a great experience and couldn't have gone better. Jon Stirm managed the whole process and everything went exactly as promised. They were on time, professional, and cleaned up every day. In addition the estimate was right on and there were no surprises. We had guests from out of state during the whole 2 1/2 process and they were not inconvenienced. The roof looks great too.
