Halcyon Overhead Door

The company was great. We had some miscommunications on the date they were supposed to arrive which was entirely my fault but they kept their professionalism, came back and installed the garage door key pad quickly and efficiently. It's not the most expensive looking thing in the world but it does the job and we're glad we got it. We would definitely use them again.

It was fine; real straight-forward. He was nice guy, he came for about an hour and a half. He recommended other repairs and gave suggestions, including replacing the garage door.

They serviced the door and opener. I was pleased with the overall experience and would use them again.

He did an efficient job fixing the door and checking everything else about the door. He was punctual, cordial, and very professional. In short, he did a great job.

I responded to a deal on Angie's list. The company was able to schedule an appointment convenient to my schedule. They arrived on time, performed the work and left the garage clean. I would definitely recommend this company.

Arrived on time, discussed what the needs were, chose new rollers over new key pad. Asked if weather strip could be replaced with grey to match opposing door. Service person said he only had black, I suggested that having one door with black and one with grey would not allow for curb appeal. He said he may have a small length of grey in his truck, he did, and replaced it for and additional $60.00. Door opens with little pressure and is very quiet with replaced rollers and lubricated channels. Good job overall.

Fast service but poor ability to solve closing problem. Immediately recommended new opener at $500 when there was just a poor connector.

It is working perfectly now. They were very professional the whole way around. It was easy to set up the appointment and they were very easy to work with. They were in and out within an hour. It was an Angie's List Big Deal so it ended up being about 50% off so I couldn't complain about the price. I was happy with the work. They were very responsive. They came when they said.

They did a tune up and replaced the rollers on our garage door. The door was out of balance and the wires on the side that actually pull the door up were coming apart. it cost a bit extra to replace the wires but it was a fair price. He really made sure the door was in great shape before leaving. balanced so it rolls up easier espically without the opener if need be. He also fixed the opener that was installed slightly off. Made a difference.

I had trouble getting an appointment. They were supposed to contact me and I had to contact them. Once they made the appointment they showed up on time and did excellent work. He cleaned up very well. The door works much betternow.

They arrived as promised on time. Assessed the problem provided me with an estimate fixed the problem. They were very neat and tidy. They are my go to garage door specialists.

The company was on time and came to my primary home to install the first garage door opener (including new tracks) and tuned up the garage door and cleaned up and helped me program the keypad entrance before we headed to the rental home to install the second garage door opener, same process as the first. The whole job took about 5 hours, and though I offered to get lunch for the installer, he very politely declined. I'm very happy with the job, and the new garage door openers worked great and is still working great.

I replied to their offer for their garage door service package. They came in and told me something didn't work that did. I had to reason with the person and eventually had to negotiate another price to get the work done. I put up with it only because I had to get the garage door repaired for a home sale. I was ok with the final price, but I was not happy the process.

These guys are GREAT. They fixed our automatic garage door 9 years ago, had a record of what was done and came back within 2 hours of my calling to schedule an appointment. In the $85 initial service charge comes 30 minutes of work--and within this time Jonathon ("JT") not only fixed the garage door perfectly recommending NOT replacing parts just yet, but also had time to fix two other garage-related door problems that I didn't even know to ask for!! (programming my car to open the door automatically--he had familiarity with the complicated procedure that I just hadn't had time to figure out yet and he fixed a light problem that we had given up on!) JT also instructed me on how to maintain the door's functioning. I feel as though I had a complete upgrade to my house and it was pleasure to have him here. And the scheduler whom I called to make the appointment was so very effective and super kind. All the way around excellent, A+++. I wish they did more than overhead doors!

I have to start off by saying, Jon was fantastic to work with - professional, punctual, friendly and did whatever was needed to deliver a great service experience. He showed up on time, worked quickly and efficiently and explained me the problems and what all he fixed. I had a very noisy overhead garage door. So I took advantage of the $99 special that Halcyon has been offering to Angie's list users. I also paid for a few additional services. After Jon was done I was amazed how much quieter the garage door sounded. He also helped me to install mail slot that I had purchased a while ago and has been waiting to be installed for ever. On the whole it was a great experience working with Jon. When I am ready to replace the garage door I would definitely start with them.

I had researched getting a new garage door 1 year ago but family health problems caused me to postpone the installation. the other company I got a bid from was cheaper but I did not like their attitude. Jen with Halcyon had been very patient with me and I decided to go with halcyon this time. I was very limited in my availability due my work. Halcyon worked with my schedule. they came out and did estimate. they were able to install new door within 10 days. It took JT less than 3 hours to put in new door. He let my husband and I know when old door was being removed so we could watch! it was fascinating. The whole process went very smoothly and the compliments from friends and family are still coming in. They did a great job

I'm not very happy with them. They seemed very lazy and they were a low budget business. The owner came out, not very helpful. But, he said a person here and he was extremely helpful and nice. I expect people to be professional. They just lubricate it and just leave. Two weeks later my garage door broke. I had to call another service to do the job and they told me that I needed a whole new garage door. They were not honest. I could have bought the new wheels for $10. But, the technician was helpful. He came back to help me put the door back.

Repair was excellent. However he charged 5% more to use a credit card. I don't think this is allowed. I think you can discount for cash but not penalize for credit in Ca.

I couldn't get my car out of my garage because the door would not open - not good. When I called the dispatcher was very professional. She asked me a few questions that ensured the technician would have the right materials on the truck. I called at 8-something a.m. and he was here just a few hours later - exactly at the time promised. He was very professional, very efficient and didn't try to aggressively up-sell me. I'm sure I will eventually benefit from a more thorough repair/replacement, but right now I just needed to get my garage door to open and close. Overall a very painless experience. My problem was resolved in a timely fashion at a price that seemed reasonable. I would use them again (but hope not to have to).

Very well -- he explained his suggestions, showed me the problem areas, had attempted to avoid replacement of the long bar but was unable to do so, and had a replacement in the truck.
