Halcyon Overhead Door

Completed the job as advertised. Work was very satisfactory. I have referred them to another relative. Will used them again if need to.

The associate was on time, very professional. No surprises, it went just the way he described.

My garage door wasn't opening properly. It would open too far and make an awful, loud ratcheting sound. The repairman arrived on time and was courteous and professional. He fixed the door and put in new rollers as well. The door now opens perfectly and is much quieter when it operates. I am very pleased with the service.

Whatever the problem is with my door, it worked when he left but didn't last.

Replaced the overhead springs, lubricated the moving parts and realigned the door. The service tech was outstanding!

took the tech almost an hour to lower the door... in my humble opinion he struggled to get the door in a workable position with a lot of hammer and crowbar use (never a good thing?). Once he had it down, he was able to proceed with getting it all straightened out. Nice guy, but didn't appear to me that he was into finessing the issue - a lot of brute force. may not have been as simple a job as I thought, but I expected that it would go a lot smoother if he was very experienced and a lot more careful.

The door worked reasonably well after he left except for a clunk when it was nearly fully up. This was attributed to just the age of the door. A few days later I noticed that my alarm sensor on the garage door was no longer working due to the door having been repositioned during the work. I repositioned the sensor and that took care of that issue. I started having problems with the obstruction sensor on the door, it was inaccurately deciding that something was in the way and stopping the door from coming down. It turns out that the bottom of the door on one side was hitting the sensor and knocking it out of alignment. Upon closer inspection I discovered that the single chain link connecting the tension cable to the garage door had dropped down on the bracket when the springs were installed and there was no tension on the cable. This left the link sticking out where it hit the sensor and also made the cable on that side 1 inch longer than normal. Once the link was restored to it's proper position, the door was no longer level on the ground when down. I spent 2 hours adjusting the cable clamps to re-align the door for proper operation. It was a simple mistake on the part of the installer, but really if I could see it he should have as well.

Halcyon came and tuned up two single garage doors, updated my remote keypad codes, and setup a few new garage door wireless openers. The tuned up system is much more quiet and now works great. Overall the appointment was only 1.5 hours and they showed up on time.

I signed up for the Angie's list special - New Garage door Ball Bearing Rollers and garage door opener tune-up. They arrived on time and quickly finished installing the new rollers. The tune-up adjustment helped get the door back in perfect operation.

Purchased their $111 special and they responded within the two days as indicated. The office manager made a mistake regarding the time we had scheduled, but the techs fit it in at the end of a long day thanks to Jon and Mark.

It was fine. They performed the service around the month of July and I didn't spend anything other than the cost of the deal. They replaced the rollers on my garage door and I also got a remote repair. Nothing in particular stood out other than they were professional and confident.

they even went out of the way to relplace a missing screw which i didnt even know until my husband noticed. Great service.

The two guys were terrific, on time, quickly saw the problem and took the Angie's List deal at a fraction of the cost initially quoted. Had a replacement part on the truck and finished the job in under 30 minutes! Great service and great results.

The person was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. Details of the work was explained before it is done and no additional service was "pushed." A very pleasant experience and we felt like we were taken care of. We would recommend them to other people.

The guy that came out was professional and knew what he was doing. He did a good job for me.

Bought a house with a detached garage. The previous owner did not ever use her garage doors. When I installed some new garage door openers, the doors were not running properly. Halycon came out and spent some time replacing the spring and making some adjustments. The garage doors are running smooth again!

Very professional. I originally asked for them to replace my keyless entry but he was able to get it working and so I got two things fixed for the price of one!

He said that I probably need to replace the whole thing but I settled at that time for just doing what he said which was getting it working again which he did but never gave me the part. He was right later on that we need to get it replaced but it worked for quite a while. He did well.

I found the HALCYON from Angie's list, cause they are the fist one one the list and rating is good too. I called they and they had people answer the phone and out to my property the same day, this is good response. After they fixed the issue of garage door can't be closed or opened occasionally. I paid them. Since it was my rental property I was there when he is doing the repair. And he just said it was fixed. So I trust him. After about 3 month my tenant start to complain again about the door open and close issue. I was out of town, and my husband went on the Angie's list and found them again, they went out again this time, and charge us more than last time, and same issue. I felt the first time they did not really had root fixed, and hence they have to do it second time. We end up pay double.

Excellent in all respects. Appointment with two-hour window efficiently made with Halcyon office; I asked that technician call that AM to give me 30 minute warning. On the morning of the appointment the tech (Jon) called to say he could be here in 15 minutes but would wait for 30 minutes if I wanted. Told him to come over right then. Jon arrived and got immediately to work--professional, efficient, knowledgeable, courteous, and neat. Asked where I wanted the openers; when finished patiently explained operation of both inside and outside openers and totally cleaned up the work area. Finished all work in about 90 minutes. Door works great (and is very quiet). ,

Service man was personable, competent, and thorough. I would recommend provider to friends and family.

One of our garage door springs snapped and the door would not open very well. The springs have a lot of tension on them and replacing them was not a job I wanted to take on without knowing what I was doing. That was obvious when I released the tension on the other spring and it spun very fast and loud when I loosened the bolt holding it in place. I called Halcyon and they came out the next day and put on two new springs. The installer was very courteous , professional, on time and answered all my questions as he worked. He was in and out of there in a very short time and got the job done right the first time. Our garage door is now back in business and we have not have any problems with it since.

The technician was friendly, punctual, and efficient in everything he did. I had a fully functioning garage door opener with a new key pad and remotes by the time he was finished. I believe his work is guaranteed for at least a year.

Very good. we like their service. Very punctual, good work, suggested wat else the garage door needs with the sevice. Would like to use them in future work too.
