The electrician showed me how to fix my issue at no charge. It was a simple fix that I overlooked. He even checked and fixed a separate outlet that was not working properly. It was great that he showed me exactly what the issue was.

Work was completed quickly. Lights look wonderful and the technician recommended the appropriate number of recessed lights to illuminate the spaces.

It seemed to be a loose ground. There were several ground wires that were attached to main breaker that were incredibly loose. He was very pleasant to work with as well. He arrived at my house a little early but called to make sure it was convenient. He got to work after thinking the problem through. Smart guy. He was very pleasant to work with as well.

Called ahead to inform me of arrival time. Arrived on time. Went over repair rates and gave me the quote.

Rey Flores was the contact for this project - he was prompt for the estimate and helpful in helping us figure out what we wanted to do. His team showed up promptly, did a great job, and cleaned up well afterward. We paid a bit extra for them to repair the shee trock holes - and it was well worth it. Overall we were very happy with the job and will use them in the future if we need additional work done.

Wow! These guys are life-savers--literally! Power, heat, and telephones went out at my very elderly father's Sunnyvale home the day before the Thanksgiving holiday, with temperatures forecasted to drop below freezing. My dad's caregiver spent several hours calling electricians in the phone book, but not one of them was willing to come out to the house before the holiday weekend, despite the urgent nature of the situation. I was notified late in the afternoon, when the prospects of finding help were pretty dim. As a longtime Angie's list member in Portland, Oregon, the first thing I did was buy an Angie's list subscription for the South Bay Area. Dalcon Electric happened to be the first A-rated company that popped up in my Angie's list search. I called their number from Portland right away and explained the situation to a very helpful and understanding scheduler. In less than an hour, she got an electrician, Chuck, out to my dad's house. Chuck diagnosed a faulty electrical panel that would require replacement at a later date but, to keep my father warm and safe, he restored power, heat and telephone function temporarily until he could come back and finish the job. In addition, he cared enough to phone me up in Portland several times to let me know of his progress and to give me peace of mind. Subsequently, without prompting, he pulled permits with the city and completed the panel replacement, which was a large job that required a couple of days of work as well as coordination between Dalcon, the city, and PG&E. Despite the holidays, the entire job was completed as projected (within 2 weeks). Since I live out of state, I was very, very grateful to find an electrician who was competent, reliable and reasonably priced; I was even more grateful to find one with so much heart that he postponed the beginning of his own holiday celebration to help out an elderly customer in need. Jeremy was punctual and we enjoyed talking to him about our electrical project. He said that he would email us back the next day with an estimate. But, after a week I had not heard from him and had to call three to four times over the course of a month to finally get a phone call and an estimate from him. It's irritating that both my husband and I had to take time off work to meet with someone who wasted our time for the appointment and the subsequent calls I had to make before I got an estimate. On top of that he kept saying his pricing was competitive with other electricians but was about 10k more than what other Angie list recommended providers quoted.

My tenant lost the remote to the fan/light so a new transformer box had to be made. I needed a bathroom exhaust fan. Both were done the same day within hours. They had to crawl through my attic space to install the fan. No complaints and no mess were left behind.

Was told by the office that a technician would arrive between 8 and 9 a.m., and Chuck was there at 8:15. He explained Dalcon's policies and reviewed the price estimate before beginning the work. Chuck quickly determined why the smoke alarm wasn't operating properly and replaced a wiring box to restore its functionality. Exactly what I wanted. I appreciate his punctuality, his knowledge of what needed to be done -- and his dog-friendliness.

Requested technician for service. Was given a 10-12 service time. No courtesy reminder call the day before. At 11am I called to verify technician was on their way. Receptionist said she would have tech call. He immediately called to say his first call in South SF went way longer than expected and his Waze app put him in Pleasanton at 12:15. He then asked me if I was going to be there all day. I said I guess I am now. And he asked if I wanted to reschedule. I said no and that I would see him at 12:15. At 1pm I called Dalcon again as tech not there and no call updating me. I was not happy. I called my husband. Who advised me to cancel. I did. No calls whatsoever to update me on status. I couldn't eat lunch or do anything because I was expecting tech to arrive any minute. Receptionist unaware tech didn't call me.

Great, accomplished everything I asked for a reasonable price! I am a very happy customer.

I arranged to have Dalcon Electric come out to give me a quote. later I decided to go another way which amounted to $600 less. An agreement was struck and they came out and did the work to my satisfaction. After they completed their work they did a cursory Inspection of my Home electrical systems and gave me another quote to Remove and replace my 1958 Electrical box with addition Amperage, new fuse's and wiring which I agreed it really needed replacing, So we are trying to schedule this new job.

Julian is an outstanding problem solver and debugger. He diagnosed a complex circuit which was not receiving power and rewired it to restore electricity. He also identified several hazardous connections in an old house and fixed them. Julian and his team were responsive, professional, punctual and neat. I will definitely use Dalcon again.

We had Dalcon out a couple times for our rental unit. We were required by the HOA to install a microwave circuit if we wanted it above the stove. We got a bunch of bids and one of the biggest draws for Dalcon was because they were also capable of fixing the drywall after the electrical had been fixed. If not we would have had to pay a contractor to come out and charge us for that and take extra time. Dalcon did not only a fantastic job in their creativity of how to make what we needed work, but did a great job patching their work. It really looked as if no one had even been in the wall and they made about 6 different holes in the ceiling. Their patching and texturing were just as skilled as the electrical work. Not only was their work great, their friendliness and professionalism was excellent. In our next meeting with Dalcon, we had a hall light burn out and they inspected the electrical as we could not figure out what had happened. It turned out that the circuit blew, and almost caught fire as the circuit breaker didn't blow. They suggested to change the entire electrical panel. We didn't do it immediately, but they did fix the wiring on the lights in the hallway to make them more safe. Our 3rd encounter with Dalcon they came to change the electrical. Billy had been there before for the microwave work. He is a great man, kind, and knows what he is doing. Funny too, which I always enjoy. He worked very h****** his craftmanship and fitting a new panel in a place where with the new updated codes, it was much more complicated than first anticipated. He worked really hard to make everything just right so it would pass inspection. He even came back the second day to wait for the permit inspector. He wanted to present his work himself, so if anything was questioned he could answer. I heard the remarks from the inspector and he made comments like "this is some of the cleanest work I have seen" and "wow you are an artist" also, " I haven't seen anyone do work this nice" so I knew it was done well. I was very proud and honored that he worked so hard for us. I feel much more at ease having had them do the work and that our rental is safe from a bad circuit breaker. Thanks Jeremy and Biilly!

I was looking for someone to do a whole house rewire, there are plenty of companies that do not charge for an estimate.

They arrived on time and quickly and efficiently did a beautiful job. They assembled a medium sized crystal chandelier in record time. Most peasant people.

Julian worked diligently and quickly with 2 other workers to replace bathroom fans/lights while upgrading many other fixtures. I also asked for an estimate to replace/upgrade outside lighting for our next big project. Julian is tremendous in his knowledge, how he tracks what needs to get done, and his follow-through. Cannot recommend him more highly!!

I called after hours and left a message with the 24-hr answering service, saying: no rush, we would like a quote on a ceiling fan and bathroom fan install. They called me back within the hour and set up an appointment for a quote the next day. Julian Garrett arrived just slightly late (which one expects from service professionals coming from a previous appointment). After looking at the two fans that we had previously purchased, Julian checked the attic and opened the two switch boxes. He explained all our options for replacing the existing switches (including another bathroom light switch), all of which we knew had some reliability problems. He gave us a detailed quote using a menu pricing system, so no surprises. He then checked our old Zinsco electrical panel, and in the process we discovered a worn-out intermittent breaker. He replaced it on the spot, charging only for the part (no labor, since it happened in the course of his free quote visit). When we called back a few hours later to accept the quote, Julian scheduled us for the next morning. He showed up bright and early and worked hard to do the job right, even taking the ceiling fan apart after the install to troubleshoot it when it started vibrating (even though it was our fan and not Dalcon's). He made sure that we were happy with everything. Cleanup was excellent, and Julian was super to work with. We hope to have them come back and do some other projects for us!

Julian was very professional and knowledgeable. I did some research online before he had arrived, and still had some parts I didn't understand. Julian was more than happy to answer each and every one of my questions. The scope of his visit expanded when I told him I wanted to bring electricals in the house (which is old) up to code in the future. Again, he was able to talk through and explain what needed to be done and give me quotes for the work.

Julian was very knowledgeable and thorough in describing what needed to be done. Once we reviewed and agreed to his quote, he quickly got the necessary materials and completed the job later the same day. Very impressive!!

Julian provided the initial in - home inspection, wrote a detailed estimate, and came back in a few days to begin and complete (almost - short one LED tube) working alone for about 1/2 day. He will return next week to deliver the missing LED tube, which will take only a minute to install, completing the job. Julian did not provide the lowest estimate; in fact it was the highest. He was also the most professional and acted like he really knew what the heck he was talking about. When he said, during his initial visit that he would be doing the work himself, that clinched it for us. We are VERY happy with the work done and will definitely call Dalcon for future electrical work. They are not the least expensive but they are the BEST!
