Don, the owner, is very professional. He and his crew started early every morning and completed the job very quickly. He built a beautiful, solid deck and gave several design suggestions to make it better. He is price-conscious and helps to keep costs under control. I highly recommend him.

My neighbor recommended Don Carpenter for the job. Don had done my neighbor's deck and it is gorgeous. That is how I discovered Don Carpenter and 100% satisfied with the work he did for us. I had received couple (5) of quotes from various contractors to remove and replace the existing old deck & arbor. The quotes varied (+/- 100's of dollars), though Don's quote was not the cheapest, what sold me was his professional right from the time we met, to the time he finished the job; he explained the entire job to me and my family, provided couple of drawings, materials (gave us many options and pricing including the pros and cons). Based on our needs & without compromising the looks, quality and a deck/arbor that would we would enjoy for years we settled with Fiberon for the deck and redwood for the arbor (painted in white) with lots of seating area (benches). He had to relay the pier blocks as they were not properly cemented to the ground. He built steps around the deck and also put some lights. And he also built a nice wooden shed (to go on the side of the house). He had a crew of three people, all of them were very nice and professional. They came early, on time and cleaned up before leaving at the end of each workday. The folks who worked for Don really enjoyed the work which you could tell from the quality of their workmanship and the fun they had while working together. I did not seem like just another job. Don was there the entire time working with them and guiding. The end product turned out so good that everyone who visits our house loves the job and were curious to know who did the job. I would definitely recommend Don for any kind of Deck/Arbor building or woodwork. His quality, workmanship and the materials of construction he uses are the best. The end product is one that looks beautiful, durable and a product you would enjoy for years. We end up spending more time on the deck :)

Don himself came out to give us an estimate and was able to turn our non-technical handwaving into a great bid with clearly outlined work. He even gave us some options for different finishes we could choose, based on budget and artistic concerns. Communication throughout was excellent. The crew arrived on time, ready to work. They got the whole thing done in great time and it looks fantastic. Great organization, great building. They tidied up every evening, and cleaned everything after they were finished. I would absolutely hire Carpenter Construction again.

He and his crew were prompt polite and professional in all aspects. The job went quickly because of good planning. Improvements were added to prevent further damage from water. We were very happy with his work and would highly recommend his company.
