Since 1983, Our Family has been providing the San Francisco Bay Area with heating and cooling services — from one-time installations to regular maintenance, from major repairs to minor tune-ups.
They were here for a week, working steadily with great care. They did not rush or cut corners. The space they had to work with was very small but they still did a very neat and clean installation. They took extra care with some custom cosmetic adjustments.

Brad Gentile arrived at the location before I did and had already looked at the ac unit in the backyard. I explained to him I have been troubleshot the furnace for 3 days and have a 2 flash external lockout. Brad said, *Ok, let me take a look and see what is going on.* He asked me to turn on the thermostat and call for heat. I went in and did and walk back to the furnace where Brad had already removed the panel and holding down the pin. Pilot light lit and this is where I told him the furnace will click 3 times and the pilot goes out. He says, *Ok* and we both watch all the burners light up. 3 days troubleshooting had Honeywell on the phone with me for over an hour and this man lays his hands on my furnace once and gets it working with no problem. Unbelievable! He shuts it down and says lets make sure it lights up again. It does! I thank him and say, How much I owe you for coming out? He says nothing it was my pleasure. It happens he says, had the same thing happen yesterday. Something special in that mans hands. Saved me $450 in repairs I was estimating. Thank you again, Brad.... John M.

Staff worked hard to get installation of new vents and air conditioning unit. Good company. If your older would not suggest the NEST thermostat control. Have not used air yet so canâ t say if works OK but did trial run before workers left and it did. Good Luck!

The sales person and his/her availability and return of phone calls is extremely important. One of the workers accidentally took a set of keys and my manager could not get in the house. It was unfurnished at the time. The scheduling set-up was timely.

I called one week before the first day of summer and fourth of July, week. They pulled out old unit and hauled away old parts. Installed new unit and all connections ,(new switch to box,220v. from box to unit, as well as thermostat control). All in one day; the day before first day of summer( which was a very hot day), not for my father .

Where do I start!... A nightmare since Day 1!... During my installation, one of their guys fell through my ceiling. They sent their sub-contractor out to fix it, but they were busy, so it took them 4 weeks to patch up my ceiling. I was having my kitchen done at the same time and it was completed before a simple sheet rock patch job was completed! How does that happen! On top of this, their contractor said he would only paint the area they damaged and I had to speak to their owner to cover the costs of my entire ceiling. However, since the ceiling and walls would not match, I had to spend additional money to paint the walls to match the ceiling. Had it not been for their guy falling through my ceiling, I would not have needed to spend this additional money ($1500)! That was only the beginning of the nightmare! I had the AC installed in April 2018 and this is June 2019. The new AC is broken now. I barely used it (5-10 times in the past year) because it is not that hot to use, but I tried during the recent heat wave and it is broken. I am still under warranty and called for maintenance. The appointment was from 10-12, but their tech did not come until 3! He never called and I had to call the office to look for him. He came for 5 minutes and said it is a broken compressor and he would have to schedule another appointment to come back and fix/replace it. You mean to tell us we stayed home from work for a whole day for your tech to tell us the unit is broken. That is reason we called you! We asked that he request a replacement unit and have it ready for the next appointment and have it on hand. However, I called the office to confirm the request, and they said the manufacturer does not ship out replacements unless they get the damaged one back. If their maintenance guy knew it was broken, why did he not remove it and send it back for the replacement. What is the point of scheduling a follow-up appointment and leave the unit in? What is he going to do? Come back and tell me it is still broken! Then remove it and take longer to have the unit replaced. Common sense tells me he should have taken the unit out to return to the manufacturer. I have been calling the office for a week but their voicemail is always full and can not leave a message. When I actually get to speak to someone, they say they can not help me and to call back. Or they say they will call me back, but never do. I have spent a week of my life trying to get this resolved and have been running around in circles. No one appears to able to answer anything or can fix this. What is the point of a warranty when they can not fix it? However, they were very quick to return my calls when I wanted the quote and schedule the initial installation appointment. Even faster when they called me to process my $16,000 payment when completing the job. The payment processed before I even said Thank You over the phone. However, any follow-up calls are pretty much rendered useless! They are very responsive when you are $$$, but for a warranty replacement, we are treated like sh**! If it were not for my warranty, I would never deal with horrible company again! A waste of a week of my life. Not mention my pissed off wife and overheated toddler during this heat wave. Thanks for nothing. By the way, I am still waiting for my call back and AC to be fixed! Next stop after these reviews, consumer advocacy agencies!

This company charges me $105 for two $10 fuses. This is after I paid the $150 service fee for them to spend 10 minutes to tell me its the fuses. I will never use them again!
