Paul and his assistant did a great job. They worked hard and stayed late to get the job done in one day, as promised. The quality of his work is much more clean and professional in comparison to that of other contractors I've worked with. Pricing was a bit higher than expected but you get what you pay for. Nice guy and good quality service.

I'm in the middle of an extensive remodeling project and have met many different types of contractors and subs. Paul Comi from Spectacular Trim is one of the best. I contacted him after seeing all the positive reviews here on AL and on Yelp because I wanted to add crown and "real" window woodwork instead of the standard picture frame window casings offered by my contractor. He was very easy to reach (unbelievable - somebody in the industry who can be reached at just about any time by phone, text, or email) and came over to the job site with several well organized sample containers of mouldings, casings, pediments, etc. He even had samples of true wainscoting, something that I've never seen built. He gave us an overview of how he prefers to install moulding, using coped joints. In addition to the strength and stability of coped joints, he also uses some special glue and other techniques to make sure the joints and seams are as solid as possible. He reviewed his pricing policy based on the number of joints and seams, which made perfect sense. A 15 x 15 room would be the same as a 10x10 room, since the number of joints and seams are identical, so the labor is very similar. It was the same with the windows, the quote to trim out a 2x4 window was the same as a 4x4 window, since it was the same number of cuts. He was very patient with with my wife and I - we must have spent hours going room by room, sample by sample, until we were happy with our choices. He gave us great advice and was able to not only show us how the samples looked in our house, but also how finished jobs looked on his Ipad. After finalizing our choices, he obtained some material costs from Ganahl to make sure we knew the total finished costs. We ended up purchasing the materials using his discount at Ganahl (and trust me, he gets a great discount due to the volume of his orders), and he picked up the materials for us. He premeasured and precut the majority of the woodwork at his workshop, minimizing the dust and noise at our house. Over the course of approximately a week, he and his assistant Steve installed approx 1200 ft of crown in 4 bedrooms, 5 baths, a family room, living room, a dining room, a foyer, multiple hallways, and multiple coffered ceilings. There were inside corners, outside corners, necessary seams, ends, etc. He also installed window trim for approximately 20 windows. I'm sure the job was a challenge since we had the occasional wavy walls and ceilings (from a different contractor), vents, and two 2 very picky homeowners who wanted their dream house. He even replaced a few sections which didn't meet his high standards after everything was completed the first time around. Overall, Paul from Spectacular Trim did a great job on our woodwork. He has old school woodworking knowledge and skills, but integrates modern methods in his workmanship, presentations, and communications. I will be contacting him for that wainscoting when it's time.

Paul is a true professional and was so from the very beginning of the job through to the end. He spent time with me in deciding which size and style of crown molding was most appropriate for each room and space. The quality of Paul's work is outstanding and I will definitely use him again for future jobs. Paul's pricing was very reasonable for the quality and workmanship that he provides. You will be very happy with his work.

There is a very good reason why Paul Comi has an "A" rating. He is professional and takes pride in his work. He brought samples and look the time to really look over the areas we wanted done. Our house is from the 1930s and has plaster walls, so the molding job was complicated. He gave us excellent suggestions and the end result was wonderful. The moldings he installed looked crisp, sharp and seamless. Paul is very honest and in fact he discouraged us from doing moldings where they would not look appropriate. We are 100% satisfied with his work in all respects and would gladly use him in the future or recommend him to a friend.

Everything went as planned with no problems, and the results are beautiful! Paul is professional, highly skilled and very easy to work with. When he comes out for the estimate he takes all the measurements and makes most of the cuts of the crown moulding before he gets to your home to install it, hence there is minimal noise and no dust, etc. He is punctual and will call if he is going to be late, etc. He cleans up when he's done and takes his time to do everything right. He is not rushed. If you would like to transform the look of your home in an amazing way, this is it! Check out the website for before and after pictures. That is what convinced me to do it. Although the work looks easy, it really takes a skilled craftsman to do it right and avoid problems down the line. I highly recommend Paul. There is a reason his company is called "Spectacular Trim" - the results are spectacular. If there was something higher than A+ I would use that for the rating!

We hired Paul to add crown molding and baseboards to our new home. The experience and quality of work was more than we expected. The finished product made our home look completely different. Paul's passion and attention to detail shows in his work. He is very nice along with his coworker Steve. We are extremely particular in regards to who does work in our home and after getting to know Paul we would be completely comfortable with having him work in our home without us being present (this never happens). If you are considering crown it has been one of the best upgrades we have done and Paul is the right/only person who should do the job. His rates are very fair. Look no further!!

The entire experience was terrific. Paul went out of his way to find a match -- it wasn't a commonly used one. He did a beautiful job of seamlessly installing it. He later added more of the same crown moulding to other parts of the house that had never had it. He did a beautiful job. He's professional, courteous, timely. Would definitely hire him again -- in fact, I plan to when I'm ready to add more crown moulding and other interior trim work.

Paul Comi came over to my 2 bdrm/2 ba 1100 sq. ft. condo to make an estimate for installing crown mouldings to improve the appearance of the wall to ceiling joints. He was very careful to take a close look at potential problem areas that would require more or special work, such a vents cut close to the ceiling. I had the impression that he likes doing the work he does as he was very enthusiastic when explaining in detail the work that needed to be done, and showed examples of previous work he had done to help me decide what size of crown moulding I wanted. After buyiing the required materials, he showed up a few days later to perform the work. He was able to complete the work on time as promised and the workmanship is very good. I had the interior of my condo painted about a month after he completed the work and the crown mouldings really look good! After completing the work, he did a good job cleaning up the work areas so I did not have to do any cleanup, which was much appreciated. Paul has a pleasant demeanor and is easy to work with, so If you are thinking of installing crown mouldings I recommend that you contact Paul at Spectacular Trim.

Paul has worked for me twice now and both times he is professional curtious and grateful.. First he finished up the crown molding in a couple of rooms, then he came back, after the floors were done, and did the base board...His work is top notch and although his specialty is crown molding and cabinetry work he will willingly do base board and other woodworking jobs as asked... He is a very nice family man easy to get along with and not pushy at all....Although his prices are good his work is spectacular(hence the company name)and if you haven't realized it yet(and you will the easy way or the hard way) when it comes to work on your home to get what you pay for ;)....

Paul was on time, professional, and an expert carpenter. His work is outstanding. The quality of his cutting, framing and execution are near perfect. Paul has worked in our home several times over the last four years and each and every time he has demonstrated the highest quality of craftsmanship and expertise.
