This company says it is the number one computer protection. The first time I called with computer trouble their tech told me to contact the computer's maker. The second time I contacted them (9 months later) the first tech told me he could not find my contract. When I called back with the registration number, another tech said my information could be found with my phone number. He told me to get one of my "tech savvy friend" to look at it and fix it if it was a software issue. His company only fixed hardware issues.

I purchased the warranties on their web-site and received confirmation within 2 hours. I made a follow up call the next day and was given instructions on how and where to send a copy of the receipt. We will be purchasing a chest freezer soon and will once again buy another Square Trade Warranty.

Liked the service. Looking for protection of the product died beyond the initial seller warranty. Fortunately, I did not have to call for a warranty. Price was good and the website is easy to navigate

I found the process smooth and easy to follow.

Affordable Appliance Repair has always been reliable, knowledgeable, professional. Their prices are very reasonable.

The customer service agent was extremely understanding and professional. She explained that she understood that I was unable to find the receipt from a phone I purchased 2 years ago and said that she would waive the requirement and allow the claim. She informed me that I could either take the phone into my local Apple store where they would charge me $140 for a replacement, after which, SquareTrade would reimburse me, or she could send me a new phone overnight free of charge. Seemed like a no brainer so I chose the second option. I received a perfect new iPhone this morning and couldn't be happier with the experience. Well worth the price!

They cover just about everything in the home, from washers and dryers, to television and more. There is no deductible, you are just paying for the replacement. It's the best warranty company I have dealt with. The cost varies on the cost of the item itself. They are easy to use and have very competitive prices.

They are fantastic. They do 3rd party insurance, it was actually cheaper than going through my phone company. They even cover water damage. It's a $50 deductible and they replace the device. Typically I pay $99 for a 2-year contract. The price is fantastic. Every time I've called their customer service they've helped me immediately.

We have used Square Trade for every piece of electronics we own for the last five years and we have never had a problem when we needed to use them.

Overall it goes very well and I would recommend them to anyone looking to warranty items.

My LG Sentio on the tmobile service started freezing up on me. I would have to remove the battery and reboot the phone basically each time it froze. The last time it froze on me, I removed the battery and put it back in and turned the phone back on and all I got was a black screen. The phone would not respond to any input, just a black screen. On 12-13-2011, I started a claim online with Square Trade. I provided all the information that they requested on their claim management website and submitted it. The next day I did not receive a response email as of yet, so I decided to call the customer service phone number. I got a live person right away, she was very polite and found my claim information after verifying who I was. She put me on hold for about a minute or less and came back on and told me that Square Trade would be reimbursing me my purchase price of the phone that I paid off of ebay. She sent me an email with a ups return shipping label prepaid and instructions on how to ship the phone and the accessories that came with the phone originally from the auction off of ebay. I boxed it up put the ups label on the package and dropped it off at a ups store and that was it. The customer service rep told me that once they received the phone they would inspect it and then reimburse me with a direct payment to my paypal account. Later on wednesday the 14th I received an email from Paypal stating that Square Trade had sent me a payment of $71.95 which was the full purchase price that I paid for the phone on the ebay auction. This is not my first warranty that I purchased from Square Trade. I have bought many warranties from them on various type of items. I have only had to use them a few times, but each time was a very easy and painless process and each time i was reimbursed very promptly. I would highly recommend Square Trade Warranties to anyone that does not get one from the retail store. They are great inexpensive insurance policies.

Anyone that buys a store extended warranty is wasting their money. Squaretrade is cheaper, easier, and they have excellent customer service. Warranty price is based on the purchase price of the equipment. The consumer must provide a receipt too... go squaretrade next time you need to warranty any kind of electronic item!

I've never had to file a claim with them, so although the registration and purchase process is amazingly easy, I can't give a recommendation on their response to a claim.

Initially, it was very frustrating speaking with the foreign-accented phone service representative from Sony. I had already signed-up for a 3 year Square Trade warranty that wasn't yet in effect. In spite of that, the Square Trade representative went to bat for me with the Sony rep and the service work was ordered (control board) and paid for by the factory warranty with Sony. The work was finally done. Let me add that Costco has recently started using Square Trade as a supplier of after-market extended warranties. Square Trade is a very good outfit that I would recommend to anyone. And their prices are very good! Plus, their warranties kick-in after the factory warranties expire, not at the same time, wasting coverage.

I called them, they sent me a a shipping label for my old GPS and a check. (It was most definitely not working- wouldn't even turn on)

I've used them twice. They sell discount warranties on a lot of things, but primarily electronics. They are hooked up with Amazon and eBay and all that. They are really good on their warranties. They do everything. It's a small 7 inch portable TV and it's two of them. I think both the times I spent about $11.00 for a 3 year warranty on a $125 TV. My experience with them was terrific. It was so simple and it was cheap. I thought since the televisions I bought were off brand, it was worth it to pay $11 to get a warranty for 3 years. I know the first year probably doesn't do any good, but these TVs did fall apart about the second year at different times within two months of each other. They were just to have in the garage because we didn't have inverters so these little TVs were able to pull in the local channels. They worked fine for a couple of years and then they started having problems. In both cases separately, I just e-mailed the problems and described them pretty thoroughly and sent them back to the warranty company. They sent me a cheque on one and the other one I just asked them to credit my Amazon account. It was so smooth and there were no problems or hang ups. They said that they can't fix them and they'll send me a cheque. That was that and very well done. I would use them again in the future. I bought a big flat screen TV and I took a warranty on that one too.

I submitted a claim on-line yesterday afternoon. Today I get an e-mail 27 hours later telling me they have questions and to please call. Why can't they call me or tell me what their questions are? The e-mail says to call between 6 A.M. and 5 P.M.(PST), Monday - Friday. I call immediately as the day is about 30 minutes before 5 P.M.(PST). I get a recording that the claims people aren't available due to training, please call back Monday. I pressed 1 to get an operator. Michelle said I needed to call back Monday as claims was in an all day training session. I told her I was expecting five-day service and she told me the five days didn't start until they received the unit. Of course they won?t send me the mailer to send it in until they talk to me but they won't talk to me because they are in training. I asked for the president of the company. At first she didn't know who it was. Eventually she told me Steve Abernathy, and gave me another generic 800 number. She said she didn't have his number or e-mail. She offered to let me talk to a supervisor but then they never came on. She told me they couldn't talk to me and that I should send an e-mail to kordhelps@squaretrade.com. It sounds like more bureaucracy and generic e-mail accounts to me. I told her I would be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau since I had already been on the phone for 15 minutes. SquareTrade advertises ?Hassle Free? Service and a ?5 DAY SERVICE WARRANTY ? GUARANTEED? per their web site. This experience is anything but hassle free. As far as I'm concerned, the five days started yesterday when I submitted the claim around 2:50 P.M., per their e-mail. I should have a repaired unit or money for the replacement, no later than this Tuesday, August 11, 2009. The coverage for the policy is $109.99. I believe I am due $109.99 or a working and acceptable Olympus W331 digital voice recorder by this Tuesday per their ?5-day guarantee?. If they don't meet that, I believe they also owe me a refund of my service contract fee of $12.99 in addition to the $109.99 coverage since they may be advertising falsely and they guarantee their service.
