great! house looks great. Robert and his team are really easy to work with, and they spend a lot of time on the important stuff - prepping/priming/etc. I would definitely use them again. they are busy but that is because they are good at what they do.

Robert and his team are true professionals. Robert repainted the exterior of our Edwardian, and we couldn't be happier. The quality of the work is top-notch, he is a wonderful communicator, and he truly cares about his clients. I would work with Robert again in a heartbeat.

Before hiring Robert, we had spoken with at least three other contractors. Robert was the most knowledgable by far about how the cedar shake could safely be cleaned, stained and sealed. Although the shake is over 15 years old, it looks almost new and glows in a beautiful way. Robert and his excellent crew also went above and beyond to paint our Queen Anne home. There were plenty of small architectural details that were handled with care and precision. The workers always showed up on time, were polite and cleaned up thoroughly every day. Robert was a delight to work with in every way. His prices were extremely reasonable. He submitted an estimate in writing and stuck to that estimate. The work was outstanding and I would not hesitate to use him again. I recommend him without question as a great painter and businessman.

His crew is really good. One was here on Thanksgiving for a few hours.. I was amazed! Robert did alot of the painting and you can tell he takes pride in his work. He helped me pick the colors and it looks beautiful. They cleaned up every day. I found the price to be fair but not cheap, I believe you get what you pay for. If you need a painter you can't go wrong.with Robert. You don't paint your house often so why not the best?

In any improvement project, things change...you add or alter things as it progresses. When that happens, you just have to hope the contractor is fair. They were not only fair & competitive on price, but as other reviewers have remarked they are professionals who can advise. I trust these guys. Much of my work was done by Octavio, who was meticulous. I asked them to return for more interior painting in a couple of weeks, and have already recommended them to a neighbor.

Robert, Octavio and Joel were completely professional. They started when they said they would each day and kept us informed on the progress and what they would be doing the following work day. They were very conscientious about working in our neighbors yards and were diligent about keeping any dust and overspray away from our neighbors. I would not hesitate to use Robert again.

Robert Jasso is professional, explaining every detail of the job. His estimates are extremely detailed and very prompt. He is punctual, completely efficient and knows everything there is to know about paints and painting. We have an older home in the Sunset District and the paint was really showing its wear and tear. Robert, and his extremely hard working assistants Octavio and Joel (Robert's son) had to do an enormous amount of prep on the house before beginning to paint. While they were prepping the house, Robert noticed that the gutter needed to be replaced. He pointed out that you could see right through the bottom of the gutter (!!!) and as water leaked through the holes, it might damage the stucco on the house. I asked him for a referral and he gave me Steve Mitchell's information. I chose to replace the gutter on the spot and Robert and Steve worked together so that everything could be coordinated and happen at once. (What a relief!) The house was primed and 2 coats of paint were applied. Robert showed his flexibility when I asked for additional work, painting some of the trim a contrasting color and painting the gutter and the downspout and power washing the entry. Each day before they left, they cleaned up every single thing around the area and on the final day, swept the entire area including the inside of the garage, the front walk and the driveway! The house is sparkling and we are absolutely delighted with Robert's amazing work. Thank you Robert, Octavio, and Joel, we are so appreciative of your hard work!

Robert answered my request for an estimate quickly, agreed to an appointment that fit with my schedule, and emailed to re-confirm the appointment the day before. His bid was returned promptly and was competitive with other bids for the project. Robert?s enthusiasm for painting was obvious when he came to bid the job. Other bidders seemed to be going through a generic process, but Robert was really engaged on an individual level, assessing the house and conveying an excitement about its potential that was reassuring to me as the house had not been painted in quite a while and really needed attention. It also presented additional challenges due to having a combination of different surface materials in different areas, each requiring its own prep and product solutions. Robert was clearly knowledgeable about the various needs of the house and how to meet them, and intent not simply on getting the job done but getting it done right. Throughout, Robert was a pleasure to work with. He and his crew were so easy to have around - friendly, courteous, neat, respectful of property, security-conscious. Robert was sensitive to my particular needs as a homeowner and scheduling of various tasks within the project was a joint decision. He was always congenial, patient, helpful, and supportive. And responsive to my comments and requests, even when I asked for something additional right at the end. Because of the nature of the house and some parts of the job, it was necessary for the crew to be inside the house as well as outside. This never became a concern. They did not feel intrusive and left my home clean and secure at the end of each day. When a problem came up that needed some serious carpentry, the contractor recommended by Robert was friendly, down-to-earth, easy to work with and did a great job at a reasonable price. A major plus for Robert Jasso Painting is that the person you meet during the bid process is also the person who will be working on your job and who you will be communicating with over the course of the project. Robert was on the job daily, working with his crew. There was daily conversation about the progress of the job and immediate communication regarding unexpected problems or concerns as they arose. Robert went above and beyond all expectations for communication and I felt involved in the process from start to finish. They did a thorough, meticulous paint job and the end result is the house and deck look amazing. The whole project, which could easily have been a very stressful disruption, was pretty much painless. I wouldn?t hesitate to recommend Robert Jasso Painting to anyone and would certainly call Robert immediately for any future paint job.

Robert was referred to us by a family friend. From the start, we were happy with his attention to details. He and his crew power washed our house, removed chipping paint and dry rot, applied rust remover to all exposed metal, and painted the house. He was very responsive and easy to get a hold of. He answered all our questions and explained everything to us. Job was finished in the time frame that was proposed. We are very happy with the paint job and wouldn't hesitate to refer Robert and his crew to our friends and family. Oh, and on the last day of the job, as he was cleaning up and doing his final touch ups, he noticed an issue with a section of our wall (something we didn't notice.) He addressed the issue, cleaned it up, and reapplied primer and paint. We really appreciated his honesty and quality of work.

We obtained bids from four painters (chosen from Angie's list) and Robert's bid came in around the middle of the four. He came to view the house promptly after initial contact, listened carefully to what we wanted done, and provided a prompt bid. After we accepted his bid, he told us that he would begin work about two months in the future - and that was a very good estimate. The scaffolding went up at the end of the week he had indicated two months before. This is the third paint job we've had on the house since buying it, and we believe Robert did a better prep job than any of the prior painters. He found pockets of dry rot, which he dug out and repaired, that previous painters simply painted over without testing. Robert was responsive to our suggestions and concerns. It was a pleasure working with him, and the house now looks great. We'll certainly consider Robert for future painting needs.

Robert was helpful, organized, responsive and punctual. The room he painted looks beautiful. When the work was done, Robert made sure the room was clean and put back in order. Prior to this Robert power washed and painted our back deck and the back of our house. Every time we've had a great experience working with him. I would definitely hire Robert again in the future.

My parents and I purchased our building three years ago without noticing that the front exterior of the house hadn't been painted for at least twelve years and that when the windows were replaced in 2008, the previous owner never got around to painting the frames. Living out in the Richmond, we get a lot of fog and salty air that eats away at flashing and exterior paint, so my primary concern in painting the front exterior of our house was waterproofing everything. Robert and his crew are a pleasure to work with. Robert is an easy-going, friendly, and an overall good guy who genuinely wants to do the job right, on-time and on-budget. Robert's team members are experts at what they do and they take great pride in their work. I didn't know it until the work started, but Robert Jasso painting is a smaller company, with Robert as a working owner-supervisor most of the time. Even though the company is small, they are still capable of doing great work on larger projects, adjusting the size of the crew as needed. I've managed many commercial tenant improvement projects in the past and there's always something bothersome about only seeing the owner or the supervisor when he comes to collect a check. I really appreciated that Robert was on the job and knew all the details of the project first hand. What made Robert stand out from the two other bidders on my project was that he went beyond listening to me. He actually humored me by coming inside my flat to look through my front windows and by hanging over the fourth story deck to look at specific areas of rust and water damage. In hindsight, I realized that it wasn't necessary for Robert to do either of those things, but he did. Throughout the job, I always felt comfortable having Robert's crew and subcontractors around my house and family. The height of our building required that a scaffold be erected on the front of it. Robert used King Scaffold, whose installers were punctual and efficient. Robert discovered that the majority of our window frames and sills were rotted through and needed to be replaced. When that happened, Robert called one of his carpenters to provide a bid on that portion of the project. For our project he used Jim Fergus, who, like Robert is an easy-going guy who wants to get things done the best way possible. In addition to the exterior painting, they meticulously stained a deck on the ground floor and a deck railing on the fourth floor. They actually took the time to unscrew some wooden benches (they weren't built-in) on the ground floor deck so that they could properly stain both the deck and the benches. My parents' cat had scratched deep into some of the railings on the fourth floor deck, but they were able to repair the damage so that it's not even noticeable now. There were a handful of change orders that occurred throughout the project, which was expected because the exterior hadn't been painted for over a decade. Each time something occurred, Robert made sure that I understood what he had discovered, how he planned to fix it, and why the additional work had to be done. I never felt that Robert was up-selling me, which is one of any homeowners biggest fears when it comes to projects of this size. When the time comes for another painting project, my first call will be to Robert.

From start to finish, this project went very smoothly. I collected bids from 3 painters, and by far, Robert was the most transparent and informative about the process. He was communicative throughout the scheduling and during the work. Robert is honest, and I felt like he had my client's best interest at heart. Truly - he was a pleasure to work with. He and his team did a fabulous job on my client's home. They painted the exterior one color with the trim a darker color. It looks fabulous! And - he knows how to work in the tight confines of city row homes. Neighbors on either side were pleased with his team's work and respectful practices. We honestly could not ask for more. We had a new, high-quality redwood fence installed in our back yard and decided we wanted it stained versus being left as redwood. The goal was to have it blend more into the surroundings and help enlarge the feeling our small city yard. Looking through Angie’s List and other online services sites we narrowed down our choices to a few contractors. After meeting with Robert, understanding his appreciation for detail and his knowledge we chose him for staining our fence. Instead of blindly doing whatever we said, Robert explained the tradeoffs of our options and we mutually worked together on the best option. As a result we have a nicely Deep Forest Green fence that makes our backyard look wonderful! Further he made the right choices of materials for our deck and metal spindles while others would have not have paid attention to that detail and used the same stain. Robert and his team paid attention to our neighbor’s constraints, were quiet and communicated promptly by phone & email. Also, Robert was nice enough to do some touch-up work in the front of the house for no extra charge. We are looking forward to working with Robert again in the future!

I found Jasso painting on Angie's list and asked him to give me a quote for painting the exterior house. Robert Jasso arrived on time and performed a very thorough inspection of my house's exterior. Robert was professional, provided me with a lot of information about the condition of my house and his services, and answered all my questions. I received several other bids from other painters. Robert's bid came in somewhere in the middle. During the inspection, Robert told me that his bids are usually not among the lower bids because he spends more time doing high quality work including spending significant time on the prep, which is the most important step of the painting process. Because I was impressed with Robert's professionalism and thought that he would do the best job on preparing and painting my house, I hired him. I also picked Jasso painting because he agreed to start work early. Robert arrived on the day we agreed he would start, and he proceeded to start the prep. I was impressed that Robert was not only the owner of the company, but he also showed up every day to lead and participate in the work. During the entire process, Robert was very professional and courteous, and he kept me informed as to the progress of the job. Given the age of my house and poor condition of some areas of the exterior, Robert's team did a great job repairing, caulking, sanding and sealing the exterior. Robert's team also cleaned up the property well after each day's work. After all the prep was completed, the paint went on pretty quickly. The whole process took about two weeks, which is about what I expected. Overall, the house looks great, and I am happy with the quality of the work. Robert also promised me that he'd come back and fix, at no charge, any painted areas that might bubble up because of the condition of the underlying wood siding. Overall, I had a good experience with Jasso Painting and recommend him to others that are interested in having their home painted.

Robert and his assistant repainted the front of my house. I'd used them some years ago, for the entire exterior of the house as well as some interior work. His price was very competitive, they're very thorough at explaining what they're going to do and giving you options, and they concentrate on really good prep work which is key to good painting. I initially only contracted for the front, but we added in the front entryway floor, caulking the stairs, and painting the garage door which had rust rather than the dirt/mold we first suspected. They were punctual, clean, finished when they said they would, did extra work on the patching for spots which needed it during the prep work. I first hired Robert in 2003, and will continue to use him for all painting that I don't do myself. Plan to have them repaint the back of the house later this year, as well as seal all the wood in the back garden & decking.
