See above. Although no actual services were performed, I will not hesitate to hire Josh and his company to perform the work should it become necessary.

Josh did excellent work in a timely manner. Very professional, very courteous, explained what he was doing every step of the way. I would absolutely hire him again.

James was able to track down damage and repair it. He also cleaned up the installation I had done. (Insured connections were tight, corrosion free and well insulated) P.S. I have used his son, Josh, before and was pleased with his ability to figure out some arcane wiring in a bathroom fan fixture and make it alright. I plan to use them again.

I called James Frost Electricial (spoke with Josh) on Wednesday, 4/3, and he let me know that they were pretty booked up but would see where they could fit me in in the next couple of days. I was informed they had outdoor work and if the rain continued their availability would open up, which it did. We set up an appointment for 3:00 on Friday to repair some electrical switches/dimmers in our hallway that had blown as a result of a broken bulb. Josh called around noon to let me know his time had opened earlier than expected. I let him know he could stop by anytime he wanted since I was home for the day. Josh and James showed up about 45 minutes later. The issue with the swtiches/dimmers was repaired quickly and efficiently. I inquired about another job I had for the future and they were very informative. I was impressed with the fact that they suggested how I could do the electrical repairs on my own, for the additional job, and told me what I needed to look for. However, they were very willing to come back and investigate the additional work if I needed them to. I would definitely use James Frost Electrical again.

In January of 2012, after contacting a few other companies with poor results, I contacted the James Frost Contractor company. I spoke with his son, Josh and arranged for a free inspections of my grandfather's home, for which Josh arrived promptly. I was concerned that the old house might go up in flames before the week was out. But, Josh was very generous with his time and knowledge, explaining in detail why the house was not the fire trap I had imagined it to be. He gave excellent suggestions on how to bring down the cost of the electrical repairs I would eventually make. He told me to give him a call when I was ready to make the repairs. AND I WILL ABSOLUTELY CALL THE JAMES FROST ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR Company... just as soon as grandpa loosen up his grip on the ole purse strings!

The work went well. He was very accomidating and able to get the job done right the first time.

Josh from James Frost was prompt, efficient, and knowledgeable. He got in touch with me in advance of the appointment so that he'd have the correct parts for the work, and he completed the work quickly and well. For the back yard lighting estimate, he ran through several different options and their approximate costs on the spot. I plan to use James Frost again for the follow-up work. He was also great with my dog.

Josh did a great job. Socket was moved without hassle. Friendly and professional. Very accommodating when it came to coming back later in the day when we were unable to get entry to the unit in the morning.

Josh promptly responded via email. We subsequently spent a solid hour reviewing the property with James and Josh, outlining our needs and desires, and understanding the various issues and constraints we face moving forward. My wife and I both found James and Josh to be down-to-earth people who were both pragmatic and candid in their assessment and guidance, and we gained a lot of insight from that initial hour together, and which was very value-added for the reasonable $150 expense. They were also very receptive to a collaborative relationship in which we can manage our costs by self-performing certain parts of the work under their general guidance, while relying upon them to carry out the more complex and code-sensitive tasks. Based upon this positive first "assessment" step, we are now mapping the work to be carried out with James and Josh to follow in January 2013, and are very confident of a positive outcome moving forward. We'll post future updates in due course.

Very satisfactory experience. Josh Frost arrived, he made repairs -- minimum of fuss & reasonable cost in my opinion.

Saved us money by convincing the building inspectors that less work was needed. Were very responsive and helpful during the course of the work.

Needed an electrician to cap off the hard wire for a hot tub. Called James, Josh came, he did the job, case closed. While he was here I also had him check out some malfunctioning outlets, and he fixed those too.He was thoroughly professional and I'd hire Josh (or James) again for any electrician needs I might have in the future.

I think I found him on Angie’s List. I spent about $350 the last time I used his services. He seemed very knowledgeable. He went ahead and showed me everything he was doing. His price seemed fair. He will be coming out shortly.

He just wasn?t that interested. He ended up telling us we needed to get a handyman.

On contacting him by phone,Josh scheduled a date 2 days later to come and work on the problem. H e was about 10 minutes late, but called and kept me apprised of his arrival. He listened to my description of the problem then offered his analysis and suggested repair. I felt confident enough in his ability that I brought up several other electrical issues that concerned me, and he provided analyses and repairs quickly. I am very happy with his services.

We recently purchased a condo in San Francisco that was built in 1931. There was no washing machine in the condo and the only place suitable for installing one had no electrical outlet. We were also planning a kitchen remodel and needed some electrical work done there. I called James Frost Electrical and Josh, James' son, came out right away and looked at all those things. They came a week later and did the work. They were very professional, courteous, and they really know about the sometimes wacky older constructions in San Francisco. I was so pleased with them that I am using them again in the very near future for more electrical work.

We just bought a 1915 Edwardian and needed some general maintenance performed, from a new dryer outlet to rewiring the doorbell so it actually works! I scheduled an appointment with James on a Wednesday, he came out that afternoon to inspect what I needed done, then came back two days later (per my schedule) and completed everything quickly and professionally. They were very flexible with my schedule, explained what was wrong, fixed what was wrong, then cleaned up when done! I couldn't have asked for a better job done. I will definitely use James Frost in the future.

The owner and his son come to my condo at the agreed-upon time and spent a good amount of time listening to my situation and giving me some good advice. They told me that my heaters were really not in bad shape and did not need replacing. They also gave me advice about relocating them. In the end, I decided to leave well enough alone, but should I need electrical work in the future, these are the folks I'd call. I'm confident that they would do the job with integrity and technical competence.

He was great. He came on time. He gave me the estimate right on site. The work hasn't been done yet but I will most likely give it to him. I had gotten another estimate by email from another company. I felt like he knew what he was doing because he didn't have to go back and get more information; he could just look at something and know how much it was going to be. He was kind of a curmudgeon, a grumpy old man, but I didn't mind it and it was refreshing to get his honest opinion. The price was fair and in line with another estimate. He also told me that I didn't need to do some work that another company had said. I believed what he had to say because what the other guy said was kind of weird and I'd had my house inspected 3 times and nobody caught that it wasn't up to code. My house was built in 1935 and he was very knowledgeable about old houses. He was an expert in the original electric work of the house, which was very helpful.

Overall, I was satisfied with the experience. Mr. Frost and his apprentice (son) arrived within an hour of me placing the call. They were very thorough in their process (investigating wall socket wiring & fuse panels) before reaching the diagnosis and fix. They spent about 1.5 hours on the job. I found them to be courteous & professional and would use them again.
