Description of Work: They replaced a bunch of halogen canned lights that had burned out transisters with retrofited LED canned lights that work and look great. They also created hid a set of TV wires in the wall. All the work they did was great and it was a pleasure working with them.

 + -1 moreI called James and he answered the phone - I think while on another job. I gave him my information and a brief description of the problem. He called me back later that afternoon and we scheduled an appointment that fit my schedule within the next two days. He arrived at my house on time, made the diagnosis and fixed the problem in about one hour?s time.
Description of Work: I had a set of overhead light fixtures that were not working which were on a common two-way switch. James quickly diagnosed the problem as a break in one wire within the metal conduit of the system. He replaced the broken wire and tested all associated circuits.

 + 0 moreOverall, I was very happy with James. Getting everything taken care of required several trips to my home. He was flexible and willing to work around my work schedule. He would call to let me know that he was on his way and he was always on time. I highly recommend James and I would definitely call him with any other electrical issues.
Description of Work: I live in an Edwardian building built in the early 1920s. A couple of years after getting my kitchen remodeled, several of the lights underneath my cabinets no longer worked. James was very helpful in pinpointing the problem and finding the appropriate materials to fix the problem. It turned out that the transformers that were installed were not of a high enough wattage to support the number of lights under the cabinets. In addition, I didn't like the bright florescent ceiling lights in my kitchen. Again, James explained to me what my options were and helped me pick out lower lower wattage light bulbs and lenses to create a softer light in my kitchen.

 + -1 moreI joined Angie's List to find a knowledgeable, experienced and reliable electrician and am extremely pleased to have found Jim. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking an electrician.
Description of Work: Half of the house was not working. Jim came out and found out what the problem was and made a temporary fix. He returned to complete the job which included replacing the wires from PG&E down to the meter socket. He also replaced the old rusted-out fuse main with a new 100 amp circuit breaker.
