IKE'S ELECTRIC

We had set a time and date and he came when he said. Replaced the light and took the fixture to another unit. He discussed carbon dioxide detecters their value and where to place them. He will do that when he comes next time. (Done before 6/2014)He removed some extension cords and lights. He had two other electricans working. He was out of town for a few days but called or e-mailed frquently. He appreciated I had a time frame and worked to meet it. I will call Ike Electric for any electric needs I will have in the future.

No call back?! I went with another electrician.

Was able to make appointment with short notice. Really knowledgeable and professional. Explained the concepts and issues so they were very easy for me to understand. Fixed the short in one of my outlets and enabled power to all other outlets on that circuit.

We had a potentially dangerous situation with flickering lights throughout our house that was caused by corrosion in the main electrical distribution panel, which is on the exterior of our house. Arcing could be heard within the meter box. I called Ike's Electric to ask for an estimate for the job. Isaiah, aka Ike, came out on a Friday, the day following my voicemail message to him. Isaiah arrived promptly and was professional and informative. He said he would have an estimate for us the following Monday, via email, which he did. His bid was fair and competitive. We had estimates from two other electricians. My husband and I decided, without any reservation, to go with Ike's Electric. Call it intuition. The work took 2 1/2 days to complete, and we were/are more than satisfied with the great work done my Leonard and Emilio. These two are not merely craftsmen, but artists. Their skill and aesthetic sense was amazing. The two of them had to drill holes and string many new wires, wires that we are now not even aware of. The SF City building inspector who came out the following week found everything up to code and done perfectly. Without hesitation, we can say that you cannot lose with Ike's Electric. My husband and I would go so far as to say we would be proud to have these guys as neighbors, and would find them a treasure to have as friends. And,also, you cannot lose with Angie's List. The cost of our membership was the best money we could have spent to take care of a very serious problem.

Called and left a message. My call was returned within 15 minutes. Appointment set for that afternoon. He arrived on time and was able to find the problem in a short period of time. It was due to a blown fuse and not enough power.. Needed a new amp. This is not my area of expertise and I am sure I don't have all the technical jargon correct.. However, we have not had a problem since.. He was very professional and knew exactly what needed to be done and I would hire him again and recommend him to anyone that needed an electrician. I feel that he can be trusted to do excellent work at a reasonable price.

The guys at Ike's did a good job. Isaias, the electrician, seems smart and thoughtful. He and his helper, Emillio, were easy to work with and very polite and professional. The job went as planned except that they were unable to start on the scheduled day due to an employee injury; understandable.That's why I rated them as only Good in punctuality categories. Overall, the finished work looks nice and clean. My veteran plumber commented on the quality of their work; it's no easy task bending 2" conduit. I plan on using Ike's Electric for the rest of my remodel project. Recommended.

The work was fast and the Isaiah was very pleasant. He made sure to place the outlet in the right spot to accommodate my stove. Of note, I have not used my stove yet....so hopefully it works. I don't see any reason why it would not.

Isaias showed up on time and provided a solution in a timely manner. We are satisfied with his work and would use him again. He is a nice guy as well.

Ike was great. He answered my inquiry promptly, came to do an estimate quickly and performed high-quality work. And, he's a very nice guy. Great to do business with -- I wouldn't hesitate to call him again.

Ike senior is very good with older women like myself ( am 80) who had husbands who did all the "man" jobs. fortunately the newer generations a not so caught in roles. He will take the time to reassure and explain. I plan to call him in March to give me an estimate on replacing two electric wall heaters in a rental and discuss improving the lighting in that same rental

I wanted to install a ceiling light in our rental property and replace two other ceiling light fixtures. I found Ike's Electric here on Angie's List and reviews were good so I contact them. They respionded promptly and throughout the project (estimate & installation) it was very easy to communicate and work with Ike's Electric, both via email and phone. The price was very reasonable and the work performed was great, on time and the price quoted.

Each time I got them on the phone (three times in total), they were nice enough, but seemed fairly busy and asked me to take the intiative to follow up with them after the call in writing to give them my phone number, my address, what I needed again and open windows of time when they could come over to give me an estimate. In each instance, I did exactly what they asked, sent them an email and I never heard back. I tried a second time after the first time, because I had thought perhaps that my email had gotten caught in their SPAM filter or what have you. So the second time, I spoke to a different younger gentleman on the phone, he apologized for not getting back to me, explained that they were particularly busy and then asked me to do the same thing, but this time send the email to multiple email addresses that they used for the business. By this time, it was getting pretty close to Christmas but I thought, what the heck, plan it now even if the work cannot get done until next year. But they never followed up the second time around either. So I called one last time to figure out what may have happened, again they were apologetic, but I didn't trust them anymore to follow through.

They did a great job from start to finish. Ike made good suggestions to us and was very helpful. Leonard and Isaias were very professional and excellent in carrying out the tasks. Isaias went above and beyond by printing out a detailed label of the circuit breakers. Would definitely hire them again.

Ike Garcia came to our house and reviewed all work done to date by the building manager, talked to the San Francisco electrical inspector to determine their requirements, prepared a proposal and submitted a quote for the work still to be done. After we paid a deposit he worked directly with the city to take out the permit and make a plan to resolve outstanding issues regarding our repair and required code upgrades since the last building inspection in 2003. Ike notified us of his progress, gave us advance notice when he needed to come in to shut off the electricity to prepare for the repair and when he planned to come in to complete the work. He worked with the city to complete required code work and get the electrical permit signed off. Finally, he worked with PG&E to get the meters sealed. He only had to shut off the power twice: once for 30 minutes to check the system and once more for an entire day to complete all work. We appreciated that he was able to do all repairs in one day and minimize the power outage for us. We were impressed with Ike's professionalism and his ability to work with the SF City Board of Permits and with the inspector and with PG&E to get all repair work and all additional required code work done and the electrical system approved by both. From his first work June 20 (inspect and list materials) until final approval by PG&E on July 16 when the meters were sealed, he performed in an exemplary manner. We will be happy to work with him again.

We recently contracted Ike’s to do rewiring, a service upgrade (meter, circuit breakers, disconnect), install grounding rods and upgrade the outlets in the kitchen and computer room of our 70 year old house. We had around five other companies over to review the project and provide us with an estimate. There were problems with the layout of our washroom interfering with the location of the electrical equipment. Ike and Co quickly assessed the project and had no problem with the logistics. The work was completed in several days by Leonard who did an outstanding job and contacted the the city inspectors and PGE to come over for certification. On top of that they also gave us the best price! I greatly recommend them for any electrical work you need done in your home.

My old intercom/door bell system went down and it came to the point that the feedback coming through the intercom inside my house was driving me nuts. I knew that at some point I needed to put it a whole new doorbell/intercom system. I have an outer wall with a door to the street. The old door release didn't work when I got the house back in 2003. I decided I wanted s sytem that has a built in camera so I can see who's outside when they buzzed the doorbell and the ability to open the door once I buzzed them in. Isaias at Ike's Electric picked out a system I wanted and installed everything professionally. He cleaned up after himself when he had to drill and cut, and made sure the system and its wiring was correct and worked perfectly. He taught me how to use it and finally My door release works again!

This is the second time we've called Ike to help us out. All of the good things from the previous experience held true again. I am elderly and he is very protective and considerate when helping us. He gave us additional advice about another lighting project in our home, which was very helpful. He cleans up after himself and takes anything away that has to be removed, and leaves everything as you would like it to be. His prices are quite reasonable.

Ike was responsive, and helped me figure out where and how to hang this very heavy fixture in my old house.

- Ike responded quickly to a phone call, arrived for a 30 minute consultation. - After surveying the floor near one of the basic plugs, the basement below it and looking at the breaker panel -- he let us know that he thought we were safe without needed to "upgrade" it, although he was certainly willing and able to do the work if we still wanted him to. - He scheduled a time to do the work that was convenient to me (accommodating my schedule) - He performed the work efficiently and quickly two days later and cleaned up behind himself. - I enjoyed his professionalism and amiability and would certainly hire him again.

He was courteous, responsive, competitive, and the workmanship was great.

I just had work done today at my flat in San Francisco by Ike's Electric, a company I discovered on Angie's List. Ike's Electric is a father-son operation that's been doing electrical work in San Francisco for over 30 years. This is what initially attracted me to this company. Isaiah, the son, did my work today, and I couldn't be more pleased with it. He arrived on time, was extremely professional, and really knew his stuff! He did some rewiring, replaced a wall heater that had burned out, replaced a bathroom fan with a quieter model, and fixed a closet light that wasn't working. Along the way, he explained everything he was doing, and he was meticulous about cleaning up as he worked. He worked quickly, and my final bill was affordable and fair. And, on top of everything, Isaiah is a really nice guy! I was so happy with his work that I immediately wrote to the others in my building to recommend Ike's Electric if they have to have any electrical work done. I am so happy to have found Ike's Electric and will be using them for all my future electrical needs.

We used Ike's Electric for several projects around our house. Isaias was prompt, courteous and very responsive. He met with us for a walk through for one project and then came back again for an additional project for us. We were pleased with his work and his professionalism. We will continue to use them for any future projects.
