They told me that the size of water heater that I had was no longer available and I would have to go with a larger one. That was a lie. They nstalled the water heater in the wrong lace though was specific. As a result, they could no fit the washing machine back in place and then they argued with me that the washing machine had been sitting in the pathway of the garage not against the wall. When they left, I started a load of laundry and realized that they had not put the drain pipe back so the water from the washer was leaking onto the garage floor. After they left, it was clear that the washer could not stay in this position so I called Atlas and asked to have someone other than Jon, the plumber that installed the water heater, and his coworker come back and fix the mistakes they made. Atlas insisted that they send the same two "plumbers". This time, my landlord came to make sure that they got the washer out of the pathway. When they came back, they again did not want to do the work so they argued with me. Jon said they would charge me. I said if they did I would get the money back in small claims court so they finally agreed to fix the problems they had created. I never should have left them alone. If you have the misfortune to use this company, stay with them. Unless they are under direct and constant supervision they may damage your property as they did mine. Again, when they left my floor was flooded because they had purposely disconnected a hose to my washer. No the hose could not have come apart with force. It was purposely done. A very unprofessional action. Atlas should not have 2 hoodlums like this working for them. The "helper" also argued with my landlord that she wasn't there when the installation was done so she did not know where they washing machine was. She said did have to be because she had owned the house for 30 years and knew where her washing machine was placed. These 2 idiots were lazy and tried to get away with doing as little work as possible for an incredibly large amount of money. We will not forget Atlas and will never use them again. By the way, I have installed water heaters and maintain rental properties. The fact that I got the referral for this company from Angie's List was very disturbing and has made me worry about taking other referrals from Angie's List.

We couldn't use them because they didn't get back to us after the initial follow up call.

I called Atlas the Saturday morning of Labor Day weekend after my neighbor and I both discovered unexplained water in our garages, and a water department inspector suspected the issue was sewage. An Atlas plumber arrived promptly, turned on my shower, flushed my toilet, and completed a camera inspection of my sewer line for $125. He recommended that my sewer line needed to be completely replaced and was causing the sewage in my garage. Trusting Atlas and not wanting to incur further damage, I turned everything off, vacated my home and waited for Atlas to send me a quote on this very large job. I also called two additional plumbers to get quotes. Two days later (Labor Day Monday) I returned to my home and discovered new sewage water in my garage. A second plumber arrived to give me an estimate on replacing my sewer line. He completed another camera inspection at a discounted cost of $100, and informed me that my line was clear and that the problem must be coming from my neighbor's house. Even though I had called him to get a quote on replacing my entire sewer line, he told me it wasn't necessary. I called my neighbors who were gone for the entire day and they called another plumber to inspect their plumbing. He turned on their sinks and showers and flushed all their toilets and waited. After a few minutes, huge amounts of smelly sewer water began streaming down their downstairs walls, into the floors, then into my garage. He concurred that the problem was coming from their house as well. Yet another plumber came to my house to give me a sewer replacement quote and also concluded the problem was coming from next door. I waited a few hours until the garage dried, then ran the same test on my house, running all the sinks, showers, dishwasher, etc. while they were still gone. The garage remained dry. On Tuesday my neighbors had their plumbing inspected and repaired. They completed a repair that day and my garage has been dry ever since. On Tuesday morning I also received a quote from Atlas - over $5000 to replace my sewer line. The plumber called me and began talking and talking. He didn't ask me a single question, didn't ask for any update at all. After a few minutes I had to interrupt him and say, "actually, I left my home for two days and the sewage continued. Turns out my neighbors have a major problem in their line." At this point, he ended the conversation rather quickly by saying something like, "so I guess you'll wait on replacing your sewer." I received no apology. That week, Atlas cashed my check for $125.

Provider called to confirm appointment, showed up on time. Provided excellent service, worked quickly and efficiently and cleanup afterward. Job was more extensive than originally estimated, but charged estimated cost. This is the second time I have used Atlas and will continue to call them for plumbing services.

Atlas was called to repair a tankless hot water heater that just stopped working. The problem turned out to be a failure of the 2 way valve. The control circuit boards also needed to be replaced. They had to order parts from the factory, covered under the manufacturers warranty. Replacing this valve required (basically) disassembling the entire unit. While they were at it they performed a full flush of the unit. The work was done professionally and they cleaned up after they were finished.

I like the servicemen that they send out, I always ask for Ronald. Ronald has a very good ambiance about him, he communicates well, and I feel like he is trustworthy. He knows what he is doing and is experienced in his trade.

They were very good and very efficient. They found the problem and fixed it. Honestly, I thought it would cost more.

Access under the sink is a bit tricky, but the repair man jumped right in without much effort. The hose connection was stuck, with patience, he managed to break the connection and unclog the hose. He was reluctant to connect the brass fitting for the ice maker hose, the combination of metal piping is a problem and no copper pipes. Two seconds later, he had an idea. He quickly installed a brass compression adapter and connected the hose. I'm happy now, water and ice cubes.

Everything went great. These guys showed up punctually, actually early which worked out great for me because I had to apartments flooding at the time. They listen to what the problem was, understood the problem, fix the problem, and out of there within 30 minutes. Thanks.

Called them up on the Sunday afternoon of Memorial Day and they were at my house within the hour. I had flooding in the garage do to some mud that had seeped into the pipe on the out side of the house. They used a high pressure hose and snake to clear the pipe and get everything working. Whole process took and an hour and half due to the though clog. After they were done they gave me a quote on replace the pipes and redoing to driveway which was all included.

Just fine. This happened on a Saturday - not many folks around. We made a call, Frank came to help, and took care of business efficiently and professionally.

Billy and Justin arrived on the scene within 40 minutes, quickly accessed what needed to be done and had the problem solved in under 30 minutes. They were professional and even mopped up and cleaned the area of the house where 'the incident' occurred. While they were here, our next door neighbor came over and asked them to help out with his clogged storm drain. They were totally cool about checking out his problem and handled it for him as well. These guys were great about getting back to us quickly after our initial call, showed up when they said they would and handled the job with ease and professionalism. They're going onto our 'first call' list of local businesses and they should be on yours as well.

They have a very good service. They have nice employees, a quick service, and the charge was reasonable.

I have used Atlas Plumbing and Rooter on three occasions, and have found them prompt, professional, and reasonable. Most recently they replaced my ancient water heater, in about 2 1/2 hours, including cleaning out some pipes that had become clogged with water heater debris. I happily recommend them.

He arrived on time, got right to work and within 20 minutes the job was done.

They came promptly and were able to fix a problem that no other plumber was willing to fix.

The service repair man arrived 2 hours after I called the company about our broken garbage disposal. He was able to fix the problem and explained to us what we can do next time to fix it ourselves. He was professional and friendly. We would definitely use Atlas again.

This is the 3rd time our toilet handle had broken. The past 2 repair jobs were terrible, ordered by the landlord. We used Angie's list to locate better service, and even tho pricey, was well worth it.

Our tenant complained of low water pressure and possible water line issues in the kitchen sink, as well as a very noisy garbage disposal. I called late on a Tuesday afternoon, selecting this plumber based on Angie's list recommendations and proximity to my unit, and made an appointment. The dispatcher was able to give me a one hour window for meeting the plumber the next day. The plumber arrived right on time and looked at the faucet (unscrewed the faucet head and spray unit) and determined that sediments in the line had probably clogged the fixture. He tested the water line; it had good pressure and was not leaking. Because there was no access into the Kohler spray head fixture to clear filters or replace disks in the head, the spray head required replacement. He said it would be easy to replace the just spray nozzle only (it screwed on and off a flexible hose). He turned on the old garbage disposal, checked inside for objects causing it to make loud noises, found none, and agreed that it was 10 years old and probably needed to be replaced in kind with a new 3/4 HP disposal. It was rattling and vibrating and very loud. He took some pictures of the faucet and the disposal and drain piping configuration. We made another appt. to meet on Friday morning. He would bring a replacement faucet spray head for $125, and he would buy a new disposal for $140. Parts and labor were estimated at $465. He gave me his cell phone number in case our schedules needed to change. He came promptly on Friday with a helper. He had a new disposal, but no faucet head or faucet. Luckily, I'd bought a new faucet the night before and brought it for installation. (Lesson learned: I should have also bought a disposal, but I didn't want an internet research project.) The new faucet was installed in 15 minutes, and the new disposal was installed after a little more than an hour. He turned on the disposal, however, and it was as bad sounding as the original he'd just removed. He tried to convince me this was normal for a "standard level" disposal that I wanted. We both had afternoon appts. to go to so we left the unit. He charged me $500 for the work. There was a 2 year warranty on the new disposal and 60 days on the labor. I called him in the early afternoon Friday and told him I wanted the disposal replaced, after listening to my own disposal at home again. He agreed - it was not making a normal sound. He suggested that I go down in power to 0.5 HP disposal, but I wanted the same power as the existing unit 3/4 HP. I asked that he find a better replacement, test it for noise prior to install, and then install it for free. I was only willing to pay for the difference in cost between the two new disposals, approximately $50-60. He agreed and said he would meet my tenant at the unit on Monday morning to re-install the new disposal. Over the weekend, I researched readily available disposals and left him a voice message to give him the make and model to pick up at Home Depot. He called me on Monday morning to confirm he'd bought the unit I requested. He installed it, and it worked perfectly. Per my tenant, the unit was barely audible over the sound of the faucet. Cons: The disposal issue was frustrating and took more of my time than originally envisioned. I am willing to pay for service including a markup on parts, as long as they are not defective. I did not mind buying the new faucet (though I wonder what the suggestion would have been had I not brought one to the original Friday appt.), but I did expect that the plumber would have knowledge and quality parts for the disposal. Next time, I will be better prepared. Pros: I appreciated that the Atlas plumber was prompt and gave a very narrow meeting window of 1 hour (not 2 or 4 hours like so many other vendors), took my phone calls on his cell phone, and worked with me to remedy the problem disposal in a timely manner and based on my convenience and that of my tenant's. I also appreciated that the plumber was willing to work with me to remedy the problem with the newly installed disposal.

Efficient, professional, on-time, honest. I will use them again. BUT I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER DEAL FROM ANGIESLIST AGAIN AND I STRONGLY RECOMMEND OTHERS WOULD NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ANIGIESLIST EITHER. For the following reasons: 1. I have had bad experiences with some providers sold by angieslsit. There is no real criteria of screening before selling these deals. Many providers are rated B or so which means their service has been unsatisfactory. I have even had disappointing experiences with their A rated providers. Angieslist is just trying to profit from selling these deals without a consideration for the quality of service or consumer protection. me2. In some instances, even the provider accepted the extremely poor service and admitted to a refund. However, angieslsit did not agree with that and did not allow the refund!!! In one instance, the service was not even provided since the merchant did not deliver it in a timely fashion. Again, they accepted their short-coming and agreed with the refund. However, angieslist blocked the refund due to a " 30-day refund policy!!! It is ludacrious that they expect a 30 day refund request while the provider that they have recommended has taken longer to respond. If I had bought the deal directly from the provider I would have received a refund and an apology. But angieslist, instead of being on the side of the consumer as they advertise., is only after making their own profit. 3. For the above reasons, I recommend using yelp in your area, finding high-rated providers and shopping from them directly. Yelp is indeed impartial, but angieslit is basically trying to make money for itself. In addition, yelp is free! It is ironic that angieslsit charges us a membership fee to help us consumers avoid dishonest merchants while they themselves are the most dishonest merchant of all time.

Atlas did the estimate and charged that exact amount. They arrived on time, cordoned off the area on the sidewalk (they had to dig it up) and they covered it safely when they were not actually there working. It took a couple of days, but it was less time than originally estimated. In addition, they were very flexible about letting me split the cost on two credit cards.

I had a leaking toilet. I thought it was a seal at the bottom since this is where the water was. The guys from Atlas quickly determined that it was actually the hardware in the tank which they replaced on the spot with parts in the truck. The whole process took less than an hour and it was $150 for parts and labor.

Great, prompt, professional service.

The water leaked through the ceiling in the garage and the ceiling broke. The replaced the pipes and resealed it. They did a fine job.
