America's Best, Inc

It was OK. There was confusion on the time they were going to show up, so they just swap crews. And then because we changed the time, I couldn't be here. It was a little messy, but I've never had my gutters cleaned before, so maybe that's normal. My roof is made of black particle composite and I found the dust from the composite in my house. So they didn't clean up afterwards. But they did the job. The other thing is when you're not home; I don't know what they did on my second floor. The first floor looks good. They were very friendly and available by phone. I appreciated that. I don't know if I would use them again, I would probably compare prices.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was great. Everything was planned and organized. They did what they said they would do. They did it cleanly, efficiently and quickly.

They were not as thorough as they could have been . There were still streaks and smudges on some of the windows. They did not talk to me after they were done before they left.

They were no show on the first appointment. They didn't call and didn't notify me. I called them Saturday and then I called them on the following Monday and they apologized. They rescheduled the work and then they came out and hang it.

It went fine. This is the first time I am using them. They were on time and they were very good. The work did meet our expectation and they were efficient and they did everything they said they were going to do. I would use them again in the future.

It's hard to say how good America's Best, Inc. cleaned our gutters, because we haven't had any significant amount of rain since they put them in. They did the job as scheduled and did it exactly as I asked them to. I might use them again. It would depend on the pricing.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal special offer for this service and it went very well; they did a good job. Their pricing was very good and so was everything else. I was very pleased with them.

It worked out fine. They got everything clean. They showed up on time and quickly responded to my calls.

I'd give them a very good recommendation. There were four people that came out. They did what was required. I have no complaints. They did an excellent job. It was a good price at that time. They did what I needed done. I would recommend them. There were four fellows. I don't know why so many came out. I think they're South Sea Islanders. They knew what was required. I expected the powerwash would do it and it did. I think it was worth that amount.

They came out a on the fall of 2011 and I had to pay them extra because I had more space. Everything was fine until the last five minutes. They came on time, they did it, communicated with me very and they were very professional. The only problem I had was they have basically cleaned up after themselves but then their very last group of staff I mean they cleaned up beautifully around my house and after they empty the gutters but then the stuff that came out of the gutters they dump it on my garage bag can and I never put anything in my garbage can that isn't in a bag. So after I left I had to wash my garbage can out with bleach and vinegar. I called them and told them that I wasn't happy with their service.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went fine. I was pleased with the work that they did. I live in a second storey apartment and some places would clean the windows by extending their hand outside with a window cleaner. These guys put ladders up and did the outside ones from the outside, which was actually quite good. I think there was one question I paid a little extra for but I thought it was reasonable, it was okay. We clarified the bit of uncertainty there and I will use them again. I think the price was very good.

They need to be clearer on what the big deal was for. Pricing, I thought was average. The responsiveness was good and their punctuality was good. I do not think that I would use them again.

It went good. I think they were punctual, did what they said they would do and there were no problems. There was a little language issue but they did the job well and it was a good experience.

I last used their service about a month ago and they did a perfectly good job. The person that I dealt with on the phone was really gracious and charming.

Showed up on time, offered to clean screens as well as windows, did a great job.

My interaction with them wasn't that good. Their work was haphazard and there were a lot of things still needed to do after their work. They didn't clean the window sill, I had to ask them to do it. The only thing good with them was that they came on time.

They cleaned all the windows inside and outside, which is no easy feat. They did a great job.

I bought their Big Deal. It went great and they did not charge me anything extra. They did a great job and did it quick. I would hire them again in a second.

It worked out really well. It was raining that week. However, it was not raining in San Jose. They had cancelled but after I called they sent someone out. It was a wonderful experience.

They were okay. They were very professional and on time. I thought they were overpriced. The pricing wasn’t very clear to me that for a window it was either inside or outside so obviously if you clean the window only on one side it doesn’t do a lot of good and it was a lot more expensive than I had anticipated. So if they only clean one side of the window it is counted one window. I had to decide if I want them to clean inside or outside and if I did both it was counted as double. They were very responsive.

I was scheduled to have the work done this afternoon. I got a call an hour before they were supposed to show up sayinf they have to reschedule. Their next available date was 3 weeks out. I contacted Angie's List for help.

It was quick; they just came out and did it and were gone. It is not that hard to reach my gutters if you have a long enough ladder. I used an Angie's List Big Deal special for this service. The price was great.

The poorly applied window tint film immediately began to fail. It peeled off from the window and hung down. I have photos of the slipshod work. We then had another tint contractor come out to have the film removed and new tint applied. He was astonished at the incredibly poor job America's Best did. The reason it began peeling off is that they NEVER REMOVED the backing! Without removing the backing, the film would never adhere. These installers really did not know what they were doing. I do not blame them. They were obviously never trained on how to apply the film. I blame the company who did not give them adequate training in using materials that they never used before. Nevertheless, despite these problems, America's Best would not refund my money and Angie's List would not support me in my complaints, even with my photos as evidence. So . . . beware of America's Best and do not assume that Angie's List will support you, the consumer.

Company seems overall responsive and provided a quote quickly. I had questions about it and did receive additional email saying that I had been mis-quoted and that was corrected (price went up slightly). On day of server, the crew of two individuals came to our property and I believe were on-time. The crew lead from the first minute I opened the door made me question getting the service done, I am not sure whether he didn't want to be working, it was a partial language barrier, or lack of personal skills but things just weren't right. I felt uncomfortable in my own home. I have had hired many vendors before and felt that this particular vendor representative could definitely have been more professional. First thing he did was tell me that there was an additional charge for one of my windows (second time the price was up'd since my original quote - again, not a lot of money but seems like there should be a "cheet sheet" for what a window is charged). The price creep was fine for me, again, it was negligible. I don't even remember him saying hello or anything that would be construed as a greeting. Once he started the job he began to just push my screens out the window by sort of popping his hand against the screen. As I just recently paid to have a screen re-done, I was conscious of the cost of them and found it very surprising this is how he removed them as I watched them fall to the ground. Since the crew left, I have found broken pieces from my screen tabs on the ground outside as well as inside my home. Wasn't expecting that from a company that has so many "A's". The windows aren't that old either. =( I generally clean my own windows and my sole reason of hiring America's Best was to clean the screens and the tracks of the windows and do a more professional cleaning job than I do with my bi-annual washings. In the end, I can't believe I wasted my money for this "service". Half the tracks were missed and I had to go back and ask the guy to re-do areas he completely missed. I felt like I was a mom pointing to their teenager to make sure they cleaned this spot or that spot. In the end I gave up, realizing that my tracks were still going to be dirty and that this crew wasn't going to give me the service I expected...I was charged on the order of $1.50/window from someone to take a dirty rag and wipe it quickly (maybe only a couple seconds) around the track... done! That's it. The crew was done in approx. 90-120 minutes cleaning approximately 10 windows and a sliding glass door (including screens and tracks), so that equates to paying each person approx. $50/hr in the two person team to do a poor job on my windows with very little material cost. That's a lot of money! Even at the "Angie's List" discount (which is what my previous figures referenced), I was very unhappy with the end result. I contacted the company via email and then in response to a customer survey they sent out. I got a result after filling out the survey and was told they will talk to one of the manager's about refunding me for the track cost. They wanted me to send them a copy of the receipt or what 2 weeks for one of the managers to be back in-house. (Realize that this probably equates to about $15 that they are talking about refunding me). However; considering that was the only reason I wanted and thus paid for the rest of the fee, I am not a happy customer. Next time, I won't even think to pay someone to do my windows based on this experience. For a company called "America's Best", I found them to leave a lot to be desired! I am assuming that other crews must be much better or this gentlemen was having a "very" off day. Or maybe most people have windows that are dire need of cleaning and almost anything is better than what they were...
