The experience was very good. They were very professional and easy to work with. They always arrived on time and did a high quality job. They finished the job when they said it would be done. They were straightforward and gave me all the facts beforehand, so that nothing was a surprise along the way.

The experience was wonderful. Tim and April were on top of everything in the project. They really take pride in their work, and care about the final results. Good customer service and very friendly. They were very patient no matter it is before the sale or after the payment. We never owned a pool before and tried to DIY a little bit, for instance clean the filter, on the side to cut the cost. So April had to teach and keep an eye on us as well. The pool looks great. I will definitely hire them again. They were not the lowest bid, but I am glad I paid the extra.

My 60's pool had several cracks throughout the base and you could see the re-bar on the steps where the cement had worn away. I called several companies out for estimates. The Pool Guys brought everything they needed for the initial interview including the license and notification of worker's compensation along with a referral list readily offered, without being asked. I knew they were professional in their work. April visited me at home and helped to choose tile and plaster covering. When I voiced concern about the pebble finish being 'scratchy' she arranged for me to visit several clients to try it for myself. Their price was in the higher level of the bids I received but it included the services of a leak specialist they recommended to make sure the pool repair would stop the leaks. Good thing too, because he found a leak in the plumbing under the decking near the pool. The crew took our the cement, the pipe was repaired and the cracks in the outer shell were repaired. The work proceeded as April planned without any delays. My project was finished within 4 days of the estimated completion date, four weeks total. The added glint from the abalone shell in the pebble finish provides a wonderful glow and my improved decking has made my 50 year old pool look 20!. You can't go wrong with this crew. If they tell you they will have to schedule for the future, accept it as a sign of how organized they are with their work.

We cannot recommend April and Tim at The Pool Guys highly enough! On the first visit, Tim arrived on time, measured, explained all the options and how the work was to be done, and then provided a complete quote on the spot. We did get other quotes, and they were all approximately the same, but Tim and April's professional manner on the phone and in person, their straightforward and honest description of the work, and the consistently high ratings on Angie's List won them the job. At that point, April took over, and she is fantastic! The contract matched the quote--there were no sudden surprises. She brought out a wide variety of tile samples and spent time to help us make a great choice. We had nearly daily communication either by phone or email with her as the job went on. Either April or Tim was on the site regularly to monitor the progress, and their crew worked hard and sometimes late to keep things on schedule. April has a great eye for detail, especially with the tile work, and made sure everything was done correctly and beautifully. She encouraged us if there was anything about the tile and bothered us to let her know, and she did make a couple of corrections for us. Everything was about making sure we were happy, and it was done in a professional yet friendly manner. At one point they found a previously--and poorly--repaired crack, and they fixed it the right way and only charged for materials. And during the refill and startup process there were a couple of hiccups--one was their responsibility and one was due to our filter equipment--and they worked diligently with the startup service guy to keep us updated and to make sure everything was quickly and correctly handled. We could not be happier with our pool! April and Tim and The Pool Guys definitely deserve our highest rating and recommendation!

They explained everything to me and measured everything. In a day, they gave me a bid. They were good. My husband wasn’t there with me at the time and he had questions. So they made another appointment and came down and explained everything to him again. I was very happy with them. When we are ready to do it, we will use them.

April keep us up to date every step of the way. Tim explained all the options with all the good, bad, and ugly of each. Straight forward and non biased. All workers were professional and kept the work area clean. I am a "question guy", both April and Tim responded honestly and straight up.

From our first call to the last day of work, April was responding promptly, calling back/working with us on all details of the project. Always punctual, great crew.

Once the project was underway we were advised nightly what progress had been made each day and exactly what would happen next. From the very beginning through the final inspection we felt very confident in the work being performed. Everything was completed as scheduled. Several finishing touches were volunarily made to ensure functionality and the overall design effect. We especially appreciate the personal touch both Tim and April provided. Both the owners and their employees were thorough in the quality of their work and subsequent clean up. We feel we have added enormous value to our home as a result of this remodel. As importantly, however, we anticipate many years of enjoyment. We would recommend this company without hesitation.

We have a 53 year-old in-ground pool that had been resurfaced with fiberglass over 30 years ago. Thanks to years of wear and tear, earthquakes, weather and age, it needed an upgrade and repair. We'd had the product of Sun Deck applied 10 years ago around the pool deck and coping of the pool which was a huge mistake we know now, but that's another story. The Pool Guys, provided an excellent estimate, being completely honest in their appraisal. We also had a slide that was the same age of the pool we wanted removed and they included that in with the price of the remodel. They arrived on time, did exactly as asked and cleaned up every day afterwards. Hosed down the area in which they worked, and coiled the hose! That alone impress the heck out of us!. Every day, was a new crew that were experts in their own area. The final crew that did the re-plaster were painstakingly careful to get out every little imperfection before finishing up and starting to add the water. They insured the hose did not rest on the bottom of the brand new pool plaster and wrapped the hose end in a towel for cushion. A total and complete class act all the way around. Every concern or worry we had, they were a phone call or e-mail away. I always received an answer quickly and one of the owners, would be at our house the next day to insure everyone was on the same page. We have had many, many, many... tradesmen at our house all these years, and these folks, without a doubt, were the best managed, professional and efficient ever. I wish their company did more than pools, I'd have them do everything we needed around the house!

He came out at the beginning of March to inspect my pool motor and figure out why it was droping water, that day he gave me an estimate and scheduled an appointment to come back on March 20. He was able to fix it in about an hour. He was nice and seemed to know a lot about pools. He is very professional and he cleaned my filter without charge.

April has a keen eye for what would work in our back yard and always made great suggestions. They were never overbearing and did not over sell anything, but helped us in every step of the process. Tim and April were so easy and pleasant to work with. Tim did what he said he would do and finished when he said he would. He left the work site cleaner than how he found it. Tim arrived on time. There is nothing to tell about the job....it was totally uneventful. I wish all my home improvement projects went so well. Tim spent over an hour with us explaining what he did, how the equipment worked, how to troubleshoot and manage the pool heater. Very pleasant guy to work with !!!!!!!!!

The Pool Guys were awesome from the initial phone contact to the completion of the project. April has the most pleasant phone disposition, and is extraordinarily efficient. Tim was also incredibly nice, efficient, and very attentive to detail. Together they seem to know everything about pools, and even took time to answer questions not related to the work they were doing (eg, how to get rid of ducks). We are very happy with our pool remodel. Communication was excellent throughout the whole project. April and Tim are great people to work with. They also painted our deck for us without cost. We are now constantly using our pool because it is so beautiful. The expense was high because it is a very large pool and we chose expensive tiles, coping and pebble surface.

My wife and I are enjoying the "softness" and savings the generator is providing. I'm looking forward to working with Tim and April on some other projects to improve our pool and our swimming experience. Curt

The Pool Guys is a very knowledgeable and professional company. Time was on time and provided a very detailed plan and answered all of our questions. April took the time to arrange for us to see other pools that they had done previously so that we could make an informed decision. During our trip she even made a call to another former client in order to let us see one more pool that would help us in making our decision about the pebble finish we wanted to use. In the end it came down to two companies and we went with another company as their timing matched better to ours. The pricing is comparable to all others and we never felt any pressure from them and they never tried to up sell us. We would highly recommend them to anyone that needs pool work done.

They did everything they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it. They sent us an email everyday saying what they did everyday and what they were going to do the next day and what time they would arrive. If they were running late they would call us ahead of time. They were always there when they said they were going to be there. They were wonderful. At least one of the owners was here everyday to check on the work. They were all really nice guys. It was done in less than three weeks.
