The Pool Guy's were very attentive to details. They helped us color select our materials, showed us the various options. Worked with us on selecting the materials and repairs so that we could stay within our budget. One of the owners would check in at the job site every day to make sure things were on schedule. They would continually email us to advise us of the schedule and what was going to happen next. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

April and Tim and their crew were SUPERB!!! The experience and subsequent results surpassed our expectations. They were courteous, on schedule, kept us informed and kept the work area as clean as possible. April or Tim came by on almost a daily basis and personally coordinated the entire remodel from start to finish. They went above and beyond in their efforts. Both are so friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. We highly recommend them to anyone who needs help with their pool. Their expertise on pools was invaluable. We will use them again without hesitation and have already recommended them to our friends.

The epicenter of a strong earthquake in North Orange County was only a half mile from our home. Along with other damage, our pool equipment stopped working properly. The pump seemed to be sucking air somewhere and I feared the worst about what we were in store for. I had used The Pool Guys before and I knew I could trust them to help us, no matter how bad the damage was. I couldn't have been more happy with their response. Tim found that a glue seal on a coupling in the plumbing had been broken in the earthquake. He resealed the leak with silicone so the joint would be more flexible for any aftershocks or future quakes. Tim also diagnosed and replaced the air relief valve on the filter that was leaking and allowing debris to drain back into the pool. April and Tim are great people who really understand customer service and value. They will always be my first call for any issues with my pool.

I cannot recommend them highly enough. The workmanship was excellent, they wear on time, neat and very respectful of my property. April provided text pictures for me and was very patient with me as I agonized over the finish, colors etc. Above all they are honest people and I would use them again in a heartbeat.

AMAZING experience!!!! April and Tim are extremely nice people and do a great job in all aspects of their business. I am not very knowledgeable about pools, but Tim was extremely patient with me and explained things so I could easily understand. He also took the time to follow-up and make sure things were OK. It is extremely comforting knowing we have a "go-to" company for anything we need pool related. We will definitely be using them whenever we need something done to our pool/spa. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

We were very happy with them. They did a wonderful job and we would recommend them to anyone. They were efficient and finished the pool when they said they would. They kept checking, almost daily, to make sure the workers were doing the work correctly and they were. Everything was fine. We had a couple of different estimates and they were all similar. They were in the ballpark. They were local to us and we were glad we used them. We couldn't have been happier. We couldn't have dealt with better people.

They were really busy but based on what I needed, they led me in the right direction to another company that was able to help me.

Tim and April are great to work with. Tim is an expert when it comes to pools. He?s easy to talk to and answers all your questions. My pool is about 12 years old and the new tile and acid wash made it look almost brand new. Tim also did an excellent job moving my pool equipment to a new location and installing the new heater and pump. The Pool Guys give you a fair price, do quality work and are very customer focused. This is the second time I?ve used the Pool Guys on a pool project and I will use them for all my pool projects in the future. You can?t go wrong using the Pool Guys. Thank you April and Tim.

Thank you so much for the referal. They are incredible, from the estimate meeting all the way thru the last day. They were on time, the owners showed up everyday to inspect progress, we were advised as to what to expect at every moment; they were perfect in every way. After they were finished and paid we had a tiny complaint,two small areas where the grout spilled over the brick(I am a little particular), they were out here the next day to correct the problem (took them 5 min.) So yes, I am ectatic with them and the result.

The pool is absolutely beautiful. We went from a terracotta colored tile that had become dated after 10 years to a mottled blue with brown mottling, very serene but earthy that complements our double black Tahoe pebble. We gave them a deadline as my daughter was having her 15th birthday party and they beat it by a day, completing the job in 5 days, despite some minor rain. After it was filled, I noticed some areas where "chunks" of pebble had fallen and it did not look good and all I had to do was email April and within 2 days she had a crew out to fix the issue. They are extremely professional and conscientious about what they do, We talked to three companies and they were the only ones who could give us the price at the time of the estimate. Additionally, when I t told April what I was looking for in the way of tile, she brought many samples that were exactly what I had in mind and was very patient while my husband and I deliberated. We have already recommended them to two other friends who could not get over how well our pool turned out, how seamlessly the new tile blended with the existing pebble. And the new sconces give the pool exactly the effect I always wanted! Very happy.

The company was very easy to work with from the beginning. Scheduling the initial appointment was quick and easy. The owners have a very calm and casual demeanor and yet they are extremely professional at the same time. There was no pressure at all. They provided us with a huge selection of tile and grout samples to help us choose the right color and pattern for our pool. Also, they were extremely flexible in working with us on the new pool lighting system and catered to our specific requirements. I requested a transformer that had the capacity to power the yard lights in addition to the pool light and they came through on this with no issues at all. The crew arrived on time and were very professional in how they carried out the work. The owners constantly kept us updated with the status during the entire process and were extremely approachable in answering any questions that we had. The pool looked great after the job. The crew cleaned up afterward and left everything in immaculate condition. I would definitely use this company for any pool repairs and remodeling in the future.

Overall, I was very happy with the work The Pool Guys did. They are very professional and know their stuff. They did a really great job with all of the big stuff. My only disappointments with the work were with their inability to fix a faulty spa light and skimmer that wouldn't work. In both cases, I was advised that I would have to tear up the concrete decking to fix the problem; however, I wasn't advised that the skimmer wouldn't work until after the work was completed. There were a couple of other hickups during the work as well, but these were mostly due to factors outside of their control. I would recommend them and use them again for future work.

Tim Mullins came to the house to provide us with very detailed information on the process, materials, and timeline of resurfacing our large pool. He was extremely thorough and very quickly provided us with a quote. The quote included prices for plaster, quartz, and pebble tech. We requested quotes from three companies; one did not respond. The quotes from the two companies were pretty close; however, the Angie?s List discount given by the Pool Guys was appreciated. Once we decided to contract with the Pool Guys, April Mullins arrived with samples of the tile and quartz. We decided to go with the quartz and we are so glad we did. It is beautiful. The men who came out to chip the plaster, lay the tile, and pour and trowel the surface were hard working and professional. They cleaned up at the end of every day. They were respectful of our property and worked diligently until the job was done. April came to observe the project almost every day. We noticed how she cared for her employees. She was right on top of things every step of the way. Once the pool was filled, the after treatment and pool cleaning?done every day for two weeks?was also fantastic. We appreciated the care Ronnie took (Trident Pools, Glendora, CA). We are pleased to highly recommend the Pool Guys (Tim and April Mullins) without any hesitation. They made a tough job as easy as it could possibly be.

They we so very easy to work with from start to finish. They had some great ideas for a a new look in the backyard that didn't clash with my own ideas. The final look came out better than I expected. April sent email updates on the progress and what to expect nect all along the way.

It went very well. They were knowledgeable, professional, and were willing to discuss the details of their work. They were also helpful in discussing future work that will need to be done. They cut out the concrete surrounding the old skimmer and installed a new skimmer and blocked off the copper line from the main pool drain. The work was completed on schedule. I plan to use them to replace all of my "ancient" copper pool plumbing this fall. I would highly recommend them.

Excellent experience from the beginning to the end. We had three different companies bid and provide plans to remove our old plaster while preserving existing tiles. While the bid costs were all about the same, this company seem the most knowledgeable and responsive. There was no unnecessary additions that other companies tried to push. The whole project went smoothly as scheduled. We were very impressed with the whole experience. We would recommend this company to anyone of our friends.

It went great. We couldn't ask for anything more. From start to finish they were professional, reliable, honest, and unusually good at communicating throughout the process. They responded to my Angie's List inquiry within 24 hours, met with me within another day or so (as soon as I was available) and started the job within three weeks. They told us what to expect and how long it would take and sure enough, it was on target. April came every day to make sure the job was on schedule with no unforeseen problems. I called April and she came out the next day. She gave me a price and some dates for acid washing and cleaning my pool. I also needed a new cover for the drain. I was out of town when they came, but April called me to tell me what was happening. She sent me before, during and after photos when they had completed the work. I'm very happy with the results and the professional way it was done. I would not hesitate to recommend this company, my pool looks like new. They are excellent!

The pool guys, April and Tim I are some of the most professional people I have dealt with while redoing our house and pool. In less than a week they had removed all of the old plaster from the pool, remove the old tile, fixed three cracks in the pool, installed a new drain system to bring it up to code, fixed 30 year old air button for the spa, installed new lights, repaired some decking that was cracked, we caulked the decking area around the pool, installed new tile and had it ready for replastering within a week. The construction of the old pool when it was first built 30 years ago, had some sharp corners that would hang up the Polaris pool sweep, so periodically you would have to go out and moved to sweep away from the corner. The Pool Guys rounded off these corners so that the sweep no longer hangs up in those areas. The installed nonskid tile on the first step of the pool and the spa to make it safer for entry and exiting the pool and spa, and additionally so that the chlorine floats would no longer damage the first step when the water level in the pool became low in the float would hang up there. The chlorine floats would eat away at the plaster causing it to delaminate over the years. The Pool looks great, the pool guys provided me with instructions for start up on the pool to make sure I check things such as hardness of the water, pH and the level of chlorine etc. It's my personal belief that if you need pool work you would be extremely wise to hire this company. I've watched other pool remodeling companies replastered pools on YouTube, what I noted was that in some cases to reduce costs the replastering company would have their men walk around in the empty pool tapping on the plaster to find the bad spots and only remove the bad plaster and not remove other plaster that seemed to be okay at the time. Personally for me, that's unacceptable, if you're going to replastered the pool you need to replastered the whole thing. I didn't have to tell the Pool Guys to do that, they already did it on their own and remove the plaster down to the old cement shell of the original pool. That's the way it should be done if you want to pool the last as long as it did when it was new. Yes I would hire this company again, yes I would recommend this company to anyone looking to replastered their pool.

Everything was on schedule of the outlined dates provided. Tim and April Mullins, the owners of the company, were wonderful to work with. They constantly checked on the work being done and finished the job 2 days before planned. Several of our neighbors came by to see the work being done and were impressed with "The Pool Guys" and our pool which is 40 years old but now looks new. Thank you again April and Tim.

Had an itermittent underwater pool light. We were concerned about a possible safety hazard. Tim Mullins arrived on schedule and quickly diagnosed the problem. Within 15 minutes the repair was made.

Overall the project went incredibly smooth. The Pool Guys were busy but were able to squeeze our project in earlier than expected. We needed an older bastardized Teledyne Laars spa heater replaced. Actually we had more work than originally anticipated. Based on the experience of Tim, he made a suggestion that we could resurface our spa and make it look new again. It was discolored and had surface cracks that although not leaking were not cosmetically attractive. He explained the process and April worked with us for a price that we were completely happy with. The total job was completed in the time that was stated in the estimate, delayed only by a day due to the fact that there was a freakish rain day. April and Tim did a fantastic job and I will not hesitate to use them again. It is so awesome to have honest people do an honest days work. I felt like I was living in Mayberry RFD.

He reassured us that it was not a problem with the pool resurfacing work that he did a year. It was just some rust stains, not a rebarb problem. We appreciate them coming out.
