We set up appointment with The Pool Guys. Tim arrived at the appointed time and wrote up an estimate. He explained in detail what needed to be done. He answered all questions and explained the entire process.Within a week April arrived to give us the work schedule. She also gave us a payment schedule and provided us with a detailed invoice.The work commenced on the date she had set up and each step of the process continued as scheduled. This was a very efficient team who fulfilled our wishes with minimal distrubance on a potentially large project.Kudos to all.

Tim and April were always on time for appointments and very responsive when we try to contact them. Tim first came over to give us a quote, which we compared with other companies. The prices were similar, but Tim was on time and knows what he was talking about, so we went with him. We were glad that we did! Workers came when they said they would, and did what they said they would (a very good job). Some time slots opened up for them so they even move us up the original schedule. At the end, the pool turned out beautiful and we were really happy with the whole process - no worry or drama of any kind. Always friendly and no problems.

The owners of The Pool Guys Remodeling and Repair Company (Tim and April) were responsive and professional from the very beginning to the end of this pool renovation project. Their follow-up through-out the project was exemplary. I have never worked with a better contractor and had such a high degree of confidence that each phase of the work (as it was completed) would be of the highest quality. All work was completed on time and within the original contract amount. I would recommend this company without any reservation. A #1 Company and a #1 job!!!

This was the best experience I have ever had with any contractor or service providor in 30 years of home ownership! Tim was punctual, polite and professional. He had great ideas and gave me valuable feedback based on his vast experience. His pricing was fair, his work outstanding, and the pool turned out better than I thought possible. Tim is gifted with great interpersonal skills. This is a trait not always possessed by people in his field. He showed up when he said he would. He put up with our yappy dogs. The work was great and the pricing was awesome. Tim worked around my schedule as I was travelling and he never hounded me for money as the job progressed. I couldnt believe it! I am usually reluctant to recommend anything to anyone because the recommendations rarely seem to measure up and you risk looking like a numbskull. I have no reservations whatever recommending The Pool Guys. In fact, I believe you will actually enjoy the experience!

My husband and I were puzzled why the water in our pool was not circulating while the pump was on. We cleaned the filters and acid-washed the chlorinator, which by the way was pretty clogged. But neither of these was the cause of the problem. Having run out of solutions, we contacted The Pools Guys. A couple of days after my call to The Pool Guys, Tim Mullins (owner) dropped by in between jobs, diagnosed the problem (low water level)and made an adjustment to the auto water filler. The next morning, we turned the pump on and checked the water circulation, and....Voila! Problem fixed. Gracious man that he is, Tim did not charge us for the visit. The several occasions we've called Tim, he has always been straight-forward with his diagnoses and estimates. It is truly a pleasure working with a gentleman.

I wish every company we used was as great as the Pool Guys!!! When Tim showed up for the initial estimate, I knew I was going to use them immediately. He answered every question in detail and never made me feel pressured. Once I called with the "go-ahead", April took over and she is so lovely, very detailed oriented and always communicated what was going on. My schedule kept shifting, so I had to rearrange their start date a few times. They were so accommodating and never made me feel bad about it. The work was done as scheduled and finished on time. Even after completion when I have called to ask questions, April still called me back right away. They lent us their brush vacuum to use since we only needed it for a few weeks. And best of all, our pool looks amazing!!!

Tim and April were wonderful to work with, as was their crew. They were here when they said they would be. April called every evening to report what was done and what would be done the next day. We made some changes after the contract was signed and they did what we wanted.

They did an excellent job. They were extremely professional, courteous, and extremely nice people. I would highly recommend them.

The Pool Guys consists of Tim and April. Tim came out as scheduled for the initial estimate and was very knowledgeable regarding what would be required for my repairs. I chose them to do my work because the price seemed fair and Tim was very detailed as to what would be required to complete the repairs as opposed to others that were quite vague. Tim and his assistant showed up for the job on time and completed it in 2 days which was their original commitment. We were very pleased with the quality of the work.

The job went smoothly. April and Tim are terrific. They are honest, do exactly what they say the will do and they kept us involved throughout the process. The workers that they hired were very professional, cleaned up each day and all the debris was removed from the property. The pool looks better than it did when it was new. They also provided written instructions for us on after care and loaned us a brush vacuum to use. We couldn't be happier and we highly recommend them to anyone who has a pool that needs remodeling.

Very happy with work performed. they were the lowest bid of two bids received. This was a two day job, April showed up to supervise the start of work the first day. Tim completed the work on the second day!. Great working with a small owner /operator company that is professional!

It went very well. They were very responsive and personable, and they have already made follow-up calls. They left us with materials.

I really liked them. They were truly professional. I have nothing but good things to say about them. Their price was very competitive. I was happy with them. I was very impressed with them. Their estimate was $43700 for that work. They were very pleasant and easy to talk with. They listened to what my wife and I had to say and they incorporated everything in the bid. He gave us a bunch of alternatives and came up with a couple of things that we had not considered. He was very courteous and pleasant. He knew what he was talking about. I would recommend them to other members.

Tim's knowledge and professionalism calmed down my fears of dealing with contractors. He is a professional who loves what he does and it shows in his work. He charged me based on the value of his work rather than the size of my house and I appreciated that very much. In fact, he took the time to make sure he addressed all my concerns before he even presented me with the bill. I recommend Tim to anyone who needs a professional to look at their pool or spa.

I could not have had a better experience working with Tim and April at the Pool Guys. From the very first contact through the Angie's List website, I was impressed with their attentiveness, friendliness and attention to detail. My calls were either answered immediately or returned promptly. Tim showed up in person for the estimate and either performed or supervised all the work himself. I had many questions and there were many variables in my project, but April patiently worked with me to find the best options. I value detail very highly. Just from looking at the professionally prepared paperwork, estimate and contract, I could tell that they were just as concerned about quality work. Once the job started, I felt very comfortable asking questions and proposing changes to the original plan when necessary. Tim is very easy to talk to and had some great ideas to make the end result even better. I mentioned there were some existing unused lines for the pool equipment and he proposed we turn them into a water feature/fountain into the pool. It turned out great and they did that part for free! Tim even brought a pool toy to give to my 4 year older daughter. The work The Pool Guys performed exceeded my expectations. The value was great and quality was excellent. I enthusiastically recommend them!

This was an excellent experience! Tim and April are true professionals and really know this business. From the original estimate through completing the work and following up on our questions, they were always prompt, attentive, and took great care of us. Our pool looks brand new and the work site was left clean and tidy each day. They always let us know what was going to happen and when and they followed up personally to make sure their crew took care of things. They were also attentive to our budget and offered alternatives to save money where possible. We are delighted with the results and really appreciated that The Pool Guys made it easy for us!

The Pool Guys (April and Tim Mullin) were both competant and easy to work with. They closely monitored every stage of the project: glass-beading the tile, chipping-out the old plaster, applying the new plaster, and start-up procedures. Tim, April, and their crew were wonderful. We were taken to several pools that they had remodeled in our city (La Verne) which had tile like we had chosen. April made a sample board of the tile and grout we had picked and placed post-it notes on the old pool to help us determine the pattern and spacing of the new tiles. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.
