Description of Work: Our kitchen lights had started lighting sporadically over the past couple of weeks. I wanted to have the electrical checked out in the kitchen which we did. He changed out the switch which was 36 years old, the dimmer switch which had ceased to dim, 2 ballasts (one in the kitchen and one in the bedroom dressing area, and changed out 4 fluorescent bulbs that had blown out (I had the fluorescent tubes on hand). In the end, he also gave me the Senior Discount! I'm very pleased with their work.

They were professional, punctual, courteous, knowledgeable, efficient, and affordable. They exceeded my expectations. I would use them again and highly recommend them. Outstanding!

My parents just moved into their new mobile home and my dad needed some lights, outlets, and switches installed in the new garage that we built. So I contacted Red at AFFORDABLE ELECTRIC SERVICE, to come over and give my dad a quote for the work we wanted done. Red gave us an awesome quote for the work he installed. Description of Work: Red, the dad owner,immediately got to work checking plugs to see which ones weren't working. He could easily see half of the overhead lights were not working. I have a new electrical panel, but locations for the circuits weren't marked perfectly. The bad one said GFI-garage. That circuit covers the overhead electrical for the garage, but the GFI is actually in the master bath. It's a good thing I know what the panel words refer to. I showed him a light fixture that shorted out over two months ago. The fixture did not cause any electrical outage until one week ago. I wasn't even sure that was the cause. He tested it and knew that was the problem. He installed the new, much better, heavier wall fixture in just a few minutes. He went to the panel, flipped the circuit switch and all was good after that. I couldn't resist running through the house, turning on every light switch I had. It felt wonderful. He spent a total of around 25 minutes to complete the entire job. He does not waste one movement. He even spent a few minutes explaining the advantage of cooler LED colors for the BBQ area, as you can much more accurately determine the doneness of meat. Who knew? I need work done in my storage shed and would definitely call him back (or his son), whoever is available. I had to rate punctuality as a B, because he came 2-1/2 hours later than expected. That was due to the first job of the day running 2 hours over the expected time. Stuff like that happens, but I need to be honest as I expect all Angie's List people to be It was already 6:45 pm and he still had another job in a nearby city to complete. He and his business are all about the customers; that is clear. Use Affordable Electric, San Dimas, and you will wonder how the other electricians stay in business.
