Red arrived on time, reviewed the work to be done. Always placed tarps down in the work site, completed the work and cleaned up before moving to another area of the house.

Could not have been more pleased with the service! The technician was polite and professional. Accomodated our schedule as working parents too! Diagnosed the problem quickly and completed the job very affordably. And to top it all off, they showed up the same day and when they said they would. Great service + great price = repeat customer!

They worked me into their schedule on the same day even though I when I originally called, they didn't have a time slot available. They had all the necessary equipment on the truck. They even recommended a place to buy replacement light bulbs when I told them I was not happy with the ones I found at the well known home improvement store ( you know the one). They are returning to do another job next week.

The power upstairs in one of my rental units went out. I needed someone ASAP as the family would not be able to remain in the house without power. I called in the morning (around 8am). The electrician indicated that he had an appointment but would see if he could get the condo in the afternoon. he called back within 30 minutes and confirmed that he would be able to get to the condo at around noon. He did some diagnostic testing and was able to locate the problem outlet and replaced the outlet.

One of them stopped working and I called him. I had to call them twice for couple of times. They said that they would come and do it. They honestly did the work and there were no issues. They came back and redid it with no charge. They apologized for not coming out as they were busy. They were reasonable for what they did. Nobody would come and do a small electrical job until the economy became bad. I think when that happened, that’s when people became more willing to do the small jobs. They really didn’t have to come out and do the job until it was a huge job. I had the advantage of that. I was pleased with them. Their price was competitive. They did a good job and the quality was good. They were very prompt. Their punctuality was great; there was no problem. I would not count the follow up as I think they had other jobs to do. That was a little go by and they fixed it. Their initial response and everything was excellent. They were very nice and professional. I have kept their number and I would use them again.

JR was on time, professional, and efficient in going about his work. He made good recommendations about how to set up the fan and chandelier the way we wanted, and was patient with us as we tried to decide how we wanted things set up. Price was good, service was good. I would highly recommend them.

I was pleased from the very beginning. I found Affordable Electric through Angie's List, called the number, left a message, and received a call back that same day. Red was able to come out a couple days later to give us an estimate, and he was back about a week later to do the work. He was very professional, and we are very pleased with the work he did. We will definitely be using Affordable Electric for our future electrical needs.

Three months ago Affordable Electric Service installed a bathroom exhaust fan and vent at my house. They had to install new switches/outlets because a light was also included with the new exhaust fan. The worker was very polite, efficient and cleaned up after himself. I had not told the worker that I had bought my own fan and so he brought one himself. Prior to this we had agreed that he would bring the new fan. He politely told me that it was ok with him that he install the fan that I bought, and that he could return his (to where he bought it). The fan and light work great and I have not had any problems with them at all. The work was very well done, they were very professional and courteous, and I would not hesitate to use them again.

I have used them 3 times. The first time was a few months ago. Red came out to move the wall light in the bathroom a few inches. I had the bathroom remodelled and the light did not line up properly with the new sink. It required cutting a hole in the wall and patching it up. He did an excellent job and also cleaned up well. The next time i called was around March/April. Red's son JR came out and put in a outside receptacle (for our sprinkler system timer). The last time was on 6/14/11 and we needed another outside receptacle for a Fountain. JR also handled this and again did a very good job. I am very pleased with all the jobs they have handled for me. Price-wise i believe they are reasonable. They are very professional and dependable. They got back to me quickly and were on time. I will definitely call them again for electrical work. I highly recommend them.

The first call was answered promptly and appointment was available on my day off. Quickly assessed the problem with the outside coach lights and it was repaired. They came back the following week to complete outdoor lighting. Written estimate was given for all work. Very professional and they knew what they were doing.

Red and his son were very careful and covered all the furniture before starting the job. They finished when promised and I was satisfied.

Working with Affordable Electric was a great experience from start to finish. The above work needed to be done at my elderly parents' home in a different part of Southern California from where I live. I used Angie's List to find an electrician in their area. J.R. called about 15 minutes before our appointment time. He was already in their city but was having trouble finding the street on his GPS. After clarifying the correct spelling of the street name, J.R. still arrived right on schedule. He took a look at both jobs and gave me some options on the kitchen light fixture. He explained that both ballasts had gone out and to replace them would be $72. He had new ones with him, but said that the fixture was quite old and I might want to replace it to avoid future problems since the cost would be only $10 more than the ballasts alone. I agreed to the new fixture. He fixed the porch light first but I didn't have the unusual (C-type) bulbs required. He offered to pick them up for me at Home Depot when he went to get the kitchen fixture. He was gone about 30 minutes, returned with the new kitchen fixture and had it installed very quickly. He was very neat on the inside work, taking care to spread out a drop cloth on the kitchen floor. I love the new kitchen fixture...it uses new energy-efficient fluorescent tubes that are much brighter than the old ones and should also be less expensive to operate. All in all it was a very positive experience and I would recommend Affordable Electric to anyone.

Saturday pm - my garden hose broke, spurting water onto a bedroom window and outer wall. Few minutes later, 2 bedroom outlets lost power. I tried to reset the circuit in the fusebox but I heard a crackling/sizzling sound from inside one bedroom wall. I immediately turned the power off. Tried it again after two hours. Same sound detected. Set up an appointment with Mr. Weinhert Wednesday p.m. Wednesday came = Service was prompt. He tested all wires in the affected outlet, turned the fusebox switch back on (no more sounds heard) then observed the outlet and wall for a while, checked the adjoining rooms, and declared it safe. He patiently explained to me what had probably happened and answered a few other electrical question I had. I asked how much I owed but he wouldn't accept payment.

Red's son came at the date and time scheduled and fixed the circuits then and brought the entire kitchen up to code. Now, I can run the toaster, dishwasher and microwave without any problems. All is working

It's Thanksgiving evening. Dessert time. Dishes are in the dishwasher. New refrigerator and freezer are full and the ice maker is pumping it out to keep up with the flowing spirits. All the lights are on. The stereo is on. Mom wants her family traditional strudel heated and ala mode. So into the microwave I place it and hit the one minute switch for a quick heat up, to be followed by 3 more. Husband has his and is at the table eating. Microwave pops and there is no power. I figure I blew the fuse in microwave only to discover a few minutes later when I went into the fridge to grab the whipped cream that it's out too. So Husband reluctantly leaves his strudel and makes his way outside to the fuse box. He finds the tripped switch and all is well for the rest of the night. We live in a mobile home that is almost 30 years old and although we have extensively remodeled since inheriting it last year, fire is always a concern. I didn't like the popping noise. So on Friday morning I got onto Angie's List and called two local electricians. The first did not respond right away (although he did Saturday -- but that was too late). At Affordable, JR answered the phone. I told him what happened and he calmed my fears and told me that with all that was operating at the time, it was probably just fine and I shouldn't worry because the circuit did what it was designed to do. Like me, he didn't like the popping noise, but we agreed it wasn't an emergency. We made an appointment for Monday afternoon at 3:00 PM. JR called me around 2:00 PM and asked if I was available and if it would be okay for him to come early. That was perfect for me. He came and checked out all the plugs, tightened up a couple of lose connections that might have caused a problem and let me know that we have copper wiring and so the wiring in the home should be good. He did recommend that we make plans at some date in the future to replace all the plugs, as they get worn over time. He quoted a very reasonable price and suggested we take one half of the house at a time. We also don't have GFS plugs in the kitchen and bath, so this was a good suggestion. He also looked at the florescent fixture over the kitchen sink and suggestion we replace it as it was very worn and not holding the light well. We made an appointment and he let me know that either he or his Dad (the owner) would call me that night and confirm. His Dad did call that night and we agreed to change the appointment time to another day. I ended up having to change that appointment as something came up, but they were very accommodating and came the next day. JR replaced the lamp and fixture and even turned the switch, which worked in the opposite direction of the adjoining switch for the other kitchen light (that was driving both my husband and me up a wall). The job was well done. Imagine my surprise when I expected a $300 bill for all this work and it only came to $170! Yahoo!

PERFECT! He did his job in less then 4 hours and did not leave a mess. He was very professional and clean. I would never go with anyone else! I'm so happy I went with him. He knows what he is talking about and has everything in his van. He was also kind enough to give me advice, when asked, on different lights for my house. Again, if you need an electrical job, he's the one you want to use!

Red came on time to give the estimate. He was knowledgeable and pointed out the code issues that I might have with my plan. He gave me an estimate on the spot.
