Initially forgot appointment. (Made it two and half weeks before) but came later in the day. Did a nice job and cleaned up the dust from cutting hole in ceiling.

Went well; no complaints. Timely and thorough.

Overall a great experience, Red was a bit late for the initial (but traffic can be tough around here). He had great options for us and was very personable and professional. He and his son showed up on time on the day of the job, did a great job were professional, efficient and cleaned up nicely when they were finished. We will definitely have them back as we continue our renovations.

My experience with him was fine. He came around 5 o’ clock and just put it in. He was very nice. He gave me a 10% off.

It went well and I was very satisfied with the work. The owner and his son do all the work. The son of the owner came out and made an estimate. I'd had a lot of small jobs I'd been thinking about doing and he gave me quotes for all, and discussed the details, incl. pros and cons of the lighting changes I was considering. I felt he was very knowledgable and honest with me. I agreed to have them do the work and he and his father came out as scheduled. They were very pleasant and easy to work with and I made some different decisions as they went along, based on their information and my changing my mind about some lighting changes we'd discussed. I never felt pressured to have them do anything I was hesitant about. They also showed me how to change out some lights to LED trims on my own if I decided to do that later. Would definitely recommend and hire them again.

If you are looking for an electrician, I would HIGHLY recommend Affordable Electric. I normally don't write reviews, but for Red and his service, I had to! I had an EV charger installed in my garage and had some lights in my house that had failed to turn on with the switch. Red installed and fixed everything in less than 2 hours. I couldn't be happier with the service, efficiency, and cost. Thanks, Red!!

Despite all the moving boxes and other hindrances, Red arrived at 8 AM as promised, got right to work, straightened out the electrical problem in the kitchen so all of my outlets there work now and added an outlet in the garage. I didn't even mention the discount, but he gave it to me anyway. He is definitely on my go to list for service people for my house. I recommend him highly. He mentioned that it is easier for him to be prompt earlier in the day because as the day goes on people add things for him to do and some of his early appointments may take longer than expected. I sort of expect that anyway. So since I had the first appointment of the day, (8AM) he was right on time.

I had a somewhat complicated problem with my built-in wallbed/bookcase lighting. JR installed a much simpler switch to turn the lighting on/off.

affordable came to house made an estimate, performed initial work then came back after new counter tops and tile backsplash was added to complete job also hooked up new vent and installed lights in cabinets above vent. All work was performed as quoted and in a very timely fashion with excellent quality.

Red installed a second meter panel, junction box, and electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) charger for me. He was able to provide an accurate estimate via the pictures I took and emailed him. This was very convenient for me. I had gotten 4 bids for the work and Affordable Electric Service was the lowest. He obtained the necessary permits and coordinated with the city inspector. He completed the work in one day and I was only without power for a few hours as they had to splice into the current feeder line. I would highly recommend him because of the quality of work and the reasonable pricing.

My over all experience with the electrician went well. As it turned out he had done work here before about 10 years ago for the landlord and had even done some work in the landlords home. I was thrilled to hear this because I am always afraid that the landlord will think I am not hiring competant people to do the work so to find out that he had done work for the landlord in his home was like getting a seal of approval!! It was shear coincidence that 10 yrs later I happen to pick the same electrician to do the work.

The electrician arrived 15 minutes early and quickly got to work. He was friendly, professional, and courteous. The work was good, and at a fair price. I would recommend and use again.

You know what they say - "Third time is a charm"...After contacting 2 other electrical companies and making appointments - both never showed up or called, I called Affordable Electric Service. I had 2 large chandeliers hung and the master bathroom exhaust fan replaced. All my furniture and flooring was covered and everything was cleaned up and left in perfect order. The chandeliers look great, center just right over our tables and the bathroom fan is whisper quiet. Very professional. Without a doubt one of the best experiences getting electrical repairs at our home, fast, efficient, and friendly, not to mention amazing work.

We had a heating airconditioning guy come over to replace a thermostat. During installation he discovered a hot white wire at the junction where it gets power. The heating guy was nice, tried his best but could not find the problem after an hour of looking. He suggested his friend and electrican could find the problem easily and would be cheap. He brought someone with him and after about 1 1/2 hours of looking could not find the problem. They wanted to run an new "white" or neutral wire from the circuit breaker to the location in the garage. They would ignore the hot neutral wire alone by tying it off some how. It was going to take an additional appointment to ge the work done. Affordable came over and found the problem in less than 20 minutes. He had the parts needed in his truck and was able to fix the problem within an hour. He upgraded the switch and plug and replace the old circuit breaker. He was great, experienced and knew what to look for. I recommend them.

Red at Affordable Electric responded quickly to my initial call and was able to come out the next day for an estimate. His estimate was reasonable, so I schedule a date for the work. Red showed up on time on the day we agreed upon and he completed all work the same day. He was careful to keep the work area clean and tidy. He removed all trash and old material. The final exhaust fan installations looked clean and professional. He also did a good job of hole-patching and re-spackling where it was needed. The broken attic fan only needed a new thermal switch, which he replaced. He was professional and courteous throughout.

Before calling Affordable Electric, I had searched Angie's list for a local electrician that had done a number of relatively small jobs that reviewers were happy with, since I felt this shouldn't be a difficult or lengthy job. Affordable fit this bill and after calling them, I had a clear idea of what to expect and ballpark estimate of the job cost (including rate for time), which was about what I expected.. The electrician arrived on time and quickly found the problem (needed circuit breaker replacement). He was quite approachable and welcomed my looking over his shoulder while he did his work and also provided rough estimates for other electrical jobs that I was considering. The job was completed cleanly and quickly and I would be happy to use Affordable Electric again.

This is a father -son business. Red came out and did the estimate. We communicated by email and phone to set a service date. His son, J.R. showed up exactly on time and did quick, efficient, professional work. He cleaned up after himself. He helped with an other lighting problem (changing a bulb on an outdoor security light) and advised me on some other security lighting. I could tell that J.R. didn't cut any corners and made sure that everything was perfect. We'll have them back for any electrical work in the future. They're a great team.

Red showed up, found the problems fast, and repaired our electrical issues in under an hour. Very professional. I would use this guy again for sure!

Once appointment time set, very punctual and professional. Cleaned up all debris and patched area around new outlet. Explained all steps of process and made recommendations for future upgrades.

My pool pump and spa heater are back on line, my electrical panel is fixed and up to code, and two bad outlets are fixed. I even have a GFCI indicator on the main outlet to let me know if there's an issue with the ground fault line throughout my house. Total cost, including labor, all parts (about 1/3 of the total) and the service call, was less than $150 - amazing! Would I use Red and his firm again? Oh, yeah! Refer him to others? We had some partial power outages in some of our outlets in our mobile home. We called and a serviceman came out right on schedule. I was worried that we would need costly repairs but the problem turned out to be a switch was tripped. The service tech, J.R. was very professional and polite. He solved our problem and charged a very fair price. He did point out that some of our outlets and fixtures should eventually be replaced which was valuable information. I definitely will use Affordable Electric again.

Thrilled with the work Red and his crew did. They were prompt, professional, responsive and friendly. Work (electrical conversion, wiring, light, and outlets) done in shed, especially, was more than we expected. They worked quickly and cleaned up after. No complaints. Will definitely use again.
