I called the night before because my home lost partial power(outdoor outlet and lights, bathroom, first floor room). After several attempts to re-set my GFCI outlet and electrical panel switches, power was still unrestored. Affordable Electric Service has A rated reviews and they were my first call. Red came the day after, on time as the recent reviews stated. Red check my electrical box, made some checks and noticed one switch that was not completely turned back on. And just that, power was restored. Red explained to me how sometimes fuse box needs to cool down before switching back to on. I even felt bad calling Red as this is something that I can do but just did not noticed when I reset the switches that the one switch that tripped was not completely turned back to on(probably coz' it was at night). But felt so stupid but completely relieved after Red's help. Red did not charge me a penny for this minimal task though the drive from San Dimas to my place could around 15 miles.

The electrician arrived at the appointment time. He took extra care to protect my hardwood floors from water (it was during heavy rain) and he was neat and cleaned up after himself. The new detectors were installed and tested and he left the manuals for rhe homeowner, which is more than can be said for the original seller. While he was unable to repair the ceiling fan due to a required part he contacted someone who may have the needed item(s) and will contact me if successful. He also provided advice regarding my inquiry about changing a different fixture (chandelier) at a future date

Affordable Electric Service: For years we have been searching for a competent, honest and affordable electrician. Our search was completed when we contacted Red and his son J.R. They were punctual, peformed the requested tasks efficiently and professionally and their price was certainly economical. We were equally impressed by their second service call to our home, which, again, was handled in a courteuos, efficent and professonal manner at an affordable price. Red came back the following week to tighten an electrical connection and did not charge for the service.

I liked them. I would use them again. He ended up doing it for free because it was an easy process. He was great, he came and looked at everything and did what I asked him to do.

We're very much satisfied with them. They were super. He said that they're all good. There was no cost at all. They came right away and he was right on time.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about this company! I can't believe the value you get for your money! They only charge $70 per hour (plus a $30 service fee). Then, you get 10% off for mentioning angie's list. So, for 3 hours of work and one part worth $45, I only paid $257! The guy who came out was very professional and got right to work. He did a great job on everything and was efficient with his time. I would DEFINITELY recommend this company and I will DEFINITELY hire them again. I'm so relieved to have found a reliable, inexpensive electrical company!!!

We were very pleased with the quality of the work performed by Red and his son J.R.. They performed the repair and installation tasks in a timely, competent manner to our complete satisfaction. Red and his son were patient and accommodating to our requests throughout the entire process.

Red was prompt, got straight to work and everything was completed very neatly. I would not hesitate to recommend his work. I would certainly call him again for any other electrical needs.

Showed up promply. Preformed work as requested. Worked steadily for three hours and did excellent job. Highly recommend.

Red and JR are very professional. They arrived on time with all the items needed for the install, they started by covering the furniture and moving small items out of the way. After they finished the job they moved everything back and cleaned up. Their work is very good and they are knowledgeable (suggested LED lights instead of halogen). I am very happy I went with LEDs...less heat and great light output. I liked the quality of their work so much, I have them coming back for the other room and hallway.

Red came in with a smile, and asked to see what the job was. After evaluating it, he got immediately to work. He brought in protective cloths to cover the sink and the cabinets and the floor to allow for easy cleanup afterward. I had instructed a distance of 6 inches up for the one that was to be moved, but he recommended that the two fixtures be level with each other, which would result in a much higher fixture over the sink. He showed me where that would be before cutting into the wall (which I very much appreciated), and I agreed with his recommendation. Altogether, it was about a 3 hour job. The fixtures look great, work great, and I have absolutely no complaints. The price was entirely reasonable given what had to be done. Red was friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend this company and definitely use them again.

The first call I made to Red was because our Electrical kept shutting off in the Family Room, he said we were on his way home and he would stop by, he made some suggestions and didn't charge us for the call. I had to call him back again because the fix wasn't working so he came over and did a temporary fix until we could schedule the installation of the new panel, again he didn't charge us for his time. The panel installation wen off without a hitch and we couldn't be happier. Red and his Son were extremely professional and frankly one of a kind in today's world. I highly recommend them.

To battle so cal's heat waves & delay spending $10k to replace our HVAC, my husband and I purchased 3 ceiling fans for our 2nd floor bedrooms. Then, to avoid triggering my husband's life insurance policy & shorting the circuit in our house, we needed an experienced and licensed electrician to install them. I called a number of electricians before I talked to Red, who was the only one that provided a reasonable quote on doing simple ceiling fan installations. Some of the other electricians I called told me it'd take 7-9 hours to install all 3. The pricing was all over the place, depending on how greedy they were or how ignorant they wrongfully perceived a housewife to be. Now, unless you're building a new motor housing and sawing fresh wood for the fans, even a housewife knows they don't take all day to install. Thus enter Red. Not only was his pricing reasonable, so was his timing. When I called him to schedule, he was driving and didn't have his calendar, so he called me back later that night to schedule as promised (2 stars already in my book). On installation day, the appt wasn't until 8 am, but Red's son (Sanjay?) showed up early at 7:45 and didn't bother us until 8 (another star). Sanjay laid out plenty of clothe to protect our furniture, wood floors, and to catch the mess. He was so quiet, professional, and hardworking, I barely remembered he was in the house. All 3 fans were up and running within 2 hrs and he was done in about 2.5 after all the clean up. It helped that he used something as simple as ceiling fan mounting brackets (other electricians who told me they had to install the fans to the joists... really???). He even brought in a shop vac, but being a germaphobe, I told him I'd vacuum instead (4 stars). The icing on the cake was when Sanjay installed a cover over a hole in our exterior wall where our patio light had to be removed to accommodate our new sunsetter shade and he didn't even charge for it. (6 stars!). He also gave quotes & ideas on doing recess lighting in our family room & kitchen, as well as rewiring our garage (all of which were reasonable). Overall, it was a great experience and very refreshing to find an electrician who isn't going to charge you an arm and leg for electrical work. You bet I'm calling them back in a few weeks to do the recess lighting & garage rewiring. So glad I found these guys; our Angie's List subscription has paid for itself!

Checked to see why our household voltage was fluctuating. Told me I needed to call Edison and what to say. He graciously declined to take payment (he spent maybe 10 minutes at most) gave me a couple business card and told me he declined any payment because he hoped to get our business in the future. (I fully expected to pay for his services even though it only took a couple minutes).. Even though we have a solar electric system as well as a standby generator they were not phased in the least. I called Edison and when they came out later that day and confirmed that is was their problem and within 12 hrs our problem has been resolved completely (I know that the 4 other houses on the street appreciate it too because they were affected also.) Great job, we will use them the next time we have any electrical problems. Thank you JR

Painless! They covered everything up and worked quickly - Red had allocated 2 days for the work but they were finished by the first afternoon. I think the house might've been cleaner when they left than when they got here :) They're not the cheapest, but the work is quality and professional. I also like that Red always clearly includes the Angies List discount as an itemized discount (it seems like a lot of providers on Angies list just say they're giving you the discount already with the estimate, which I think is shady). I'll definitely call them in the future when we need electrical work.

Work was great. The motion lights I chose had a high failure rate, so he had to go back and forth between the job site and the supplier location multiple times. One of these lights failed right before a holiday break, and after the holiday break Red came back to fix that light. All the work was done professionally. When it comes to electrical stuff, it's good to have someone reliable like Red to do it, so that you rest assured that nothing will someday turn into a fire.

Red was quick and efficient. Diagnosed ceiling fan problem and was able to replace controller box and wall switch, rather than putting in a new fan. Had parts on his truck. Repaired outside electrical issues. Checked out my exhaust fans in tenants bathrooms..,...will check out his supplier for suitable replacements... ......Responded quickly and completed everything professionally.

Service was prompt and professional. The price was outstanding. JR explained everything he did and even gave some recommendations regarding other problems I had. Very honest.

JR removed the socket and reconnected the wiring on each light fixture. He used a drop cloth to protect the floor from dirt and old insulation material that rained down. He was also kind enough to remove a plastic disk (part of a disabled smoke detector) that was left attached to the ceiling next to the lights. I requested JR to look over my circuit breaker and asked him for an estimated replacement cost. He obliged. I felt that he gave me his honest assessment about its condition. I am very satisfied with the service and I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for great service at a reasonable cost. I will also share this info with my family and friends.

It turned out to be such a small issue he did not even want to charge me for his time. This shows a lot of integrity and proves to me that they are honest and would not take advantage on anyone by overcharging providing a very reasonable job
