Heron arrived on time, cheeked the circuit breaker panel and found a damaged bus bar. Replaced the damaged paste, was willing to negotiate on the price.

the problem: 3 outlets and one light without power on one circuit what was done: electrician confirmed the outlets/light did not have power. He felt that replacing the entire electrical panel for the whole house would fix these outlets. estimated cost: $3600.00 Obviously, this did not make any sense, so got second opinion. Went to the BBB page instead of ads on Angie's list; contacted Alpha Expects. Great electrician (A+ on BBB) came out. The problem was one faulty ground fault switch in the circuit; the entire panel did not need replacing. repair cost: $75.00. So i'd highly recommend agains Comfort Electric. Even if I had been gullible enough to pay $3600 for an entire new panel, it still would not have fixed the faulty ground fault switch. So why a D rating for Comfort and not an F.... he did show up and not very late and was polite. And, he was correct the panel was old, and replacement someday soon makes sense. But, that is not why he was called out, nor did he properly fix the problem for which he was called out. Kinda got ripped off by paying Angie's list in advance. A word to the wise, get a second opinion before spending money with Comfort Electric.

Inspection of AC system resulted in optional work installing a part to bring unit up to local plumbing code. I paid an additional $80 approx. The technician was pleasant to deal with. I believed I could trust him. No pressure. Helped in selling the property as it showed I was proactive in updating the unit for the buyer.

This deal was supposed to be $99 for $199 of electrical work, but they told me once they arrived that this job normally cost more than $199 and I owed them an additional $38. I should have been told that when I booked the service. After checking my electrical panel I was told that various wires and connections weren't up to code (not safety hazards) and that the wiring for my air conditioner condenser had to be completely re-done. Installation of my air conditioner system had been inspected and permitted by the city at that time which was only 7-8 years ago. All of this work would cost more than $2,000, but I'd get a 10% discount if I committed to the work on the spot. I didn't. Lastly, on leaving, I was told that I should replace all of my electrical switches and outlets because "they're old". I'd never heard of doing that. Replacement of the dimmer switches, which was the only service I'd requested, was done satisfactorily, but I didn't appreciate their attempts to get me to buy other services that I didn't request and probably didn't need.

Great ... Bo was very helpful and informative and did the job in a very timely manner - everything seems to be working just fine.

There were no additional costs. I think it was his skill. He couldn't fix it. He worked on it for a few hours. It was challenging for him. He said he would come back to fix it.

Heron was a big help. He went the extra mile to make sure my HDMI cable was hidden with the power outlet he extended for my plasma TV above the fireplace - thanks man!

Representative was very professional and got straight to work. Quickly completed the job and cleaned up. Would use again. Only issue that I was unaware of was that the $49 deal covered part of the work/ fee to come out to the house.

Two of our under-cabinet fluorescents weren't working. As it turns out, the actual fixtures are dead. They quoted us at $538 but we bought one of their specials online so we ended up paying less. They had the fixtures readily available in their truck and was able to do the job rather quickly. Heron gave us some extra discount on top of the specials. We also asked for a quote for a possible job. If the price is right, we shall work with them again!

Received a courtesy call ahead of time. Parts were replaced called in another electrician to help so job would not run long. Finished job very satisfied with work.

I was not exactly thrilled. It ended up being a whole lot more. They came out relatively quickly. The scheduling wasn't a problem. All I was having done was having an outside light put in. I purchased the light and had it here. It ended up costing me the cost of the big deal plus another $400. I bought the light and it worked for about a month. It hasn't worked since. I changed the light bulbs and it still doesn't work. They were easy to work with. The guy seemed very knowledgeable. I was really upset at what it cost. The lights went out within a month. Their responsiveness was good. He was very nice and very professional.

Ordered services on 12/8/15. Needed doorbell and address light fixed. They installed doorbell a week later but could not fix address light (replaced transformer that didn't fix problem). Rescheduled for 12/30/15 to replace light bulbs. They did not show up as scheduled. Technician responded to my text asking him why he didn't show up for appointment, saying he was stuck in Chula Vista, so he rescheduled for following Monday. He did not show up that Monday and did not respond to my text asking where he was. I called the home office, who did not have a record of any of this, and it took them another two days to figure out who I was. I call Darrin to explain the situation and asked why I was charged $400 for a doorbell and light bulbs that needed to be replaced, but as of yet were not. Darrin listed for 15 seconds, and explained that this was typical for companies like theirs to charge how they did (no breakdown of labor and materials). They finally came out on Thursday and replaced the light bulbs. I believe the charge for these services should have been in the $200 range, considering the Angie's List coupon, and the time spent actually fixing the problem. They were unprofessional and costly, and I will certainly not use them again.
