I purchased a big deal from Comfort Electric for one hour of service. The electrician, JJ Zapari, showed up on time, courteous, and diligently performed the work I requested. He also cleaned up after performing the work. It was an excellent experience.

I have to start by saying that the work performed was very satisfactory. I felt in good hands with JJ, who was extremely patient and answered all my questions. My only issue was the price. I had originally received a quote by Heron for extending an electrical 220V circuit from our laundry room across a wall into the garage to install an EV charger we purchased. He would have had to crawl into the attic space and lay new wires and install a brand new outlet in the garage wall. The quote was $650 before any discounts. It turned out that we already had a 220V outlet in the garage in the desired spot and all that was left to do was replace the old outlet and attach a plug to the charger, attach it to the wall and that was it. Heron's new quote for that work was $540. It just doesn't seem to be in any relation to the amount of work that was now left to do. I did speak with Heron and he came down with the price to $500. In all I'd say good work but very expensive.

It was okay. It turned out that it was more expensive than the big deal. They came out two weeks after the purchase but that was my scheduling. I think they wanted to come earlier. There was an extra of $50. The chandelier works great now. They were very prompt. The guy that came out to do the service was super nice and super reasonable. The service was great. They were great. The price was reasonable.

The company was on time and the tech even called before he arrived . The entire process was seamless.

Called Comfort Electric a few days before my appointment to see if I could move up the appointment...No call back. The day of the appointment Herone, the electrician, called to notify me that he would be delayed...No big deal. When he arrived I explained the job once more. He explained that since the outlet would be used for a washer and dryer, he recommended I put it on a separate circuit breaker and it would cost $100 more. It seemed reasonable so I acquiesced. When the job was done, (approximately 1 hour) I took a look at the work. There was no new circuit breaker in the electrical panel. There was, however, the same circuit breakers as before and a scribbled out description of circuit breaker number one and a penciled in new note above it "Laundry". For extra measure he added a circuit breaker filler panel at the end of the series of breakers to confuse things. He claimed that the number one circuit breaker was never there before and that he provided it. He claimed that previously there was just a filler plate there. I was extremely familiar with my electrical panel and saw the thinly veiled lie for what it was. Furthermore, the filler plates ?already there? where clean and new. Circuit breaker number one was as old and dusty as the rest of my original circuit breakers. Not sure what occurred behind the panel but my guess is he moved what was on originally on breaker number one somewhere else, doubling the potential load on that other circuit breaker. I asked Herone to leave my house and he did after going through the motions of acting surprised and using classic lines like "I'm so p*****"..."in all my years"...and my favorite..."I am completely flabbergasted'. He did leave without further incident. This was my first time using Angie's list and it does not bode well. I don't understand why providers advertise discount deals if they're going to immediately try to buck their responsibilities and shake you down. Please do not put yourself through this. Avoid!

I wasn’t really impressed with what I got for the service. The guy was good. It turned out to be $3000 bill if I had proceeded which I couldn’t. When we called and made an appointment, they came out as soon as they could. It wasn’t an extended wait. They were pretty good. It would have cost too much money to do what we had to do. The big deal price was $89. With regard to price, I didn’t get anybody else to compare prices. The bottom line was way too much for what I had to put in for. This is a new house. It was more or else a total overall. I couldn’t proceed.

He checked all of the panels, opposed to just doing the work I asked him to do. He advised me that all of them needed to be replaced, but I felt their price was too high. They quoted me almost $3000 to do all of the work. They refused to give me an actual break down of the cost for time and materials. They gave me a discount, which made it seem less, but my brother advised me that it still was not a good deal.

James Evans did an excellent job and provided great service. He was a great representative for his company! He worked quietly, independently and efficiently. I could not have asked for anyone better. My husband is a journeyman lineman for a power company and he was very impressed with James' work. Thank you, James, for your wonderful work. It's nice to know we can hire a company and get what we pay for.

Electrician arrived on time, was professional and pleasant. Worked steadily until job was done. Cleaned up after work. Total time was about three hours. Company came the same day I called.

Got the job done. It was left by prior electrician in non-functional condition. The systems work now - hooray!
