United Plumbing Heating Air Electric

We had an appointment for Monday the 3rd and they told me that they would come to my house between 3 and 5. I took off 2hrs off work to make the appointment. We waited and waited but never showed up. Never called or nothing. I called them but could only get a machine. I left a message but have not heard back from them. I will never call them again.

Everything went fine. They had a couple of different fans with them, so I didn't need to do any preparation ahead of time.

I will never use them again. We bought a "Big Deal" ($99 for $299 worth of work). Everything was OK (coordination of the start date/time) until they showed up to do the work. We explained what we wanted done (installation of 5 outdoor light fixtures), They said that the $99 would only cover 2 of the 5 fixtures (these were pretty simple fixtures - power, return and ground, plus two bolts to hold the mounting ring and two bolts to hold the light fixture, LED pre-installed, no globe involved - and we had removed the old fixtures that were being replaced and opened the new ones up to remove most of the packing material) and their "normal rates" would be applied for the rest of the job. Overall it was a pretty simple job, but I was working lots of overtime and we wanted the work done, so we had bought the Big Deal. The "normal" rates were outrageous, so we said just install the 2 fixtures. The work was done, and he left. When I got home from work, I inspected the work and found: one fixture didn't fit right - it was overlapping the window molding. Rather than tell us, he just jammed it in and called it "good". The next fixture was loose and damaged. Apparently he dropped it and it was bent. Because of that, it wouldn't fit right - again, rather than tell us, he jammed it in and tried to tighten it down. One of the nuts only covered one thread of the mounting bolt, one good tap and it was coming off. Once my overtime was over weeks later, I did the whole job (all 5 fixtures) in about an hour - and I'm not a professional electrician, but did do some general construction work while in college. Bottom line: They set up the appointment with little trouble and were on time. They honored the "Big Deal" price, but didn't do much work, the quote for any "extra" work was way high. and while here, they tried to sell my wife a complete electrical panel replacement for thousands of dollars - and we had recently had a large solar system put in and the panel was fine and passed inspection. The work was poor quality and had to all be redone, and they damaged the material we provided.

Todd was the electrician who did my work. He was professional and very knowledgeable. I was able to schedule on very short notice which was very important to me since I am having a party and needed the work done beforehand. When I need electrical work done again, I will contact Comfort Electric.

It was fine. He tried to push me up a little bit but we got it resolved. It was okay. I had the coupon honored. I don't have that much electrical work done. It seemed like an awful lot of money for whatever it was just to take out a switch and put another one, but maybe that's the going rate. I did not want to pay him another $99. His responsiveness, punctuality, and professionalism were fine.

Todd arrived early and was very clear on what he needed to do. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and honest.

The electrician was on time, quickly found the problem and corrected it with no complications.

The electrician spent about 20 minutes looking at all the electrical outlets and power switches in my home and gave me a list of things I need to do ($3,000). Okay, i guess he was being thorough, but it doesn't have anything to do with the job he was hired to do. He seemed to be unsure of putting the cable from the attic through the wall. Anyway he completed the job. When the tv was hooked up to the cable line, it didn't work. I called TWC to check out my TWC service. I had a DVR put on the line, but it still didn't work. The TWC technician went into the attic to find the problem. He discovered the Electrician put the switch in backward. SO THE JOB COMFORT ELECTRIC DID WAS A COMPLETE FAILURE. NOT ONLY DID I WASTE $166 FOR NOTHING. THIS WAS MY FIRST ANGIE'S LIST JOB AND I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED.

I think he anticipated doing a lot more for the $49 so he will charge a lot more. Maybe we just mis-communicated. I think he would quote me a higher fee or something...maybe not. But I told him that the charge is only $49 and he said he thought he would do the whole house or something more. The service was short and quick. I think we just had a misunderstanding in terms of what he's going to do.

Very professional, prompt and courteous. I described what I wanted, Beau, the electrician, outlined what was needed and if any additional costs would be needed (none) if the job took longer than 1 hour (it would probably not). Totally excellent.

The electrician showed up on time and knew what he was doing. The job ended up costing quite a bit more than I expected ($99) because he had trouble finding a nearby power source near the new location for the outlet. He had to go underneath the house to run a new circuit up & ground it properly. So I paid for an additional 2 hrs of work, but I was OK with it as the technician explained it all. These things done through the Big Deal almost always end up costing more than you initially hope, just the way it seems to go. But I would use Comfort Electric again.

Arrived on time, easy to schedule. They cleaned up, were responsive, gave a reasonable estimate and completed the work in a timely manner.

That guy was great. It was great. I have nothing but good things to say about that guy. I like this guy. He did work, he did it fast and properly.

The guy was nice. I'm getting a better sense that I have expectations that are larger than the dollar amount that I'm giving.

Beau was extremely professional and called ahead to let me know when he would arrive.(I very much appreciated that) had me show him what i wanted taken care of wrote out a bill and went right to work, cleaned up after himself, extremely pleased.

Accurate and efficient, provided detailed information about the job, cleaned up thoroughly when done.

The work took longer than anticipated. Since the electrician didn't arrive until 4:25 pm and he had to go to Home Depot for some parts, he worked on the job until it was finished, which was 9:15 pm. He made sure all was working that night so we wouldn't have to schedule a return visit. Aliso Moriarty was very conscientious.

Technician conducted an electrical inspection of my home, which went smoothly - in addition to installing a new ground-fault outlet. My issue with the service was when the technician somehow tripped my smoke detectors, and could not get them to stop chirping. He tried for over an hour to silence, but could not figure out what had caused it. In the end, I had to disable all my smoke detectors, and ultimately replace all of them. I did rehire the company to install dimmers a couple months later, and the service went well. Both times, the technicians were prompt and professional.

Beau was on time and completed the work efficiently.

Alisio was on time and conscientious throughout both the inspection and installation.

I have used comfort Electric before and they are my go to for any electrical work. Easy to schedule shoved up in time frame given, and professional quality work!
